Effect of Experienced Job Burnout on Individual Performances (번아웃의 경험이 개인성과에 미치는 영향)

  • The present study focuses on the effect of experienced job burnout on individual performances. The objective is to analyse the effectiveness of supportive leadership behavior in response to experienced job burnout among employees. For empirical analysis, data were collected from 482 employees working in a Korean conglomerate. The empirical results indicate that emotional exhaustion and diminished personal accomplishment have a negative impact on job satisfaction, however a positive impact on turnover intention. Supportive leadership is found to moderate the relationship between burnout and job satisfaction. There is no moderation effect between burnout and turnover intention. The current research highlights the fact that supportive leadership can determine job satisfaction in respond to workers' experienced job burnout. The theoretical and managerial implications for overcoming workers' job burnout are discussed.

A Study on CSFs in the 4th Industrial Revolution (제4차 산업혁명의 성공요인에 관한 연구)

  • The purposes of this study is to identify the critical success factors for the 4th industrial revolution through literature review and to empirically evaluate the validity of these factors through questionnaires from executives engaging in the industries of the 4th industrial revolution. Literature review identifies leadership, change management, top management support, strategic fit, training, empowerment, teamwork, organizational culture, communication, and project management as ten critical success factors, Questionnaires were administered to CIOs and CEOs in the industries belong to the 4th industrial revolution. Response rate was 64.4% which shows quite high participation. Respondents rated strategic fit as the most important factor, followed by top management support, leadership, change management, project management, teamwork, communication, training, organizational culture, and empowerment. To successfully pursue the 4th industrial revolution, the followings are recommended. (1) detailed and refined execution strategy, (2) establishment of effective network among government, public companies, research institutes, universities, and industries, (3) strategic and long-term plan, (4) differentiated execution strategy from other countries and global cooperation system.

  • TSP(Team Software Process)의 계획 단계에서는 계획된 프로젝트 일정에 맞춘 업무를 팀 리더 또는 계획관리자(plan manager)가 각 팀원에 할당하고, 업무수행 시에는 각 팀원이 할당된 업무를 적시에 수행하는지를 추적하여 일정지연을 방지해야 한다. 하지만 업무 할당에 있어 팀원의 능력, 일정 및 업무의 논리적인 순서가 고려되어야 하고, 업무 수행 시에도 수시로 변화하는 업무 일정으로 인해 할당된 업무를 일정에 맞추지 못하는 상황이 발생하며 이는 결국 일정지연으로 이어진다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 본 논문은 TSP 가 지원하는 업무 균등 분배(workload balancing)를 적용하여 해결하고자 하였으며, 이 활동을 지원하는 도구에 대해 소개한다.

A Secure Yoking-Proof Protocol Providing Offline Verification (오프라인 검증을 지원하는 안전한 요킹증명 프로토콜)

  • RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) yoking authentication provides methods scanning a pair of RFID tags with a reader device and verifying them to ensure the physical proximity of objects. In the first yoking proof protocols, a verifier connected to a reader device online is essential to verify the yoking proof, and this condition limits the environment in which yoking proof can be applied. To solve this limitation, several studies have been conducted on offline yoking proof protocol that does not require the online connection between a reader and a verifier. However, the offline yoking proof protocols do not guarantee the basic requirements of yoking proof, and require relatively more operations on the tag compared to the previous yoking proof protocols. This paper proposes an efficient offline yoking proof protocol that supports offline verification without the need for an online verifier. The proposed protocol provides a secure yoking proof with fewer number of operations than the existing ones, and it also can be extended to the group proof for more than a pair of tags without additional devices. The analysis in this paper shows that the proposed protocol provides offline verification securely and effectively.

Performance Analysis and Optimization of OpenDaylight Controller in Distributed Cluster Environment (분산 클러스터 환경에서 오픈데이라이트 컨트롤러 성능 분석 및 최적화)

  • OpenDaylight is an SDN (Software Defined Networking) open source framework, which is popular in network fields recently. This paper analyzes the performance of a controller cluster architecture by focusing on distributed datastore and Raft leader election algorithm. In addition, we propose an enhanced version of Raft algorithm in order to improve the performance of distributed datastore by distributing shard leaders over controller cluster. This paper compares the conventional Raft algorithm with the proposed version of the Raft algorithm. Moreover, we compare the performance of distributed datastore according to shard roles such as leader and follower. Experimental results show that Shard leaders provide better performance than followers and Shard updating requests need to be distributed over multiple controllers. So, by using proposed version of Raft algorithm, controller performance can be improved. The details of the experiment results are cleary described.

  • The objective of this study was to evaluate the community's capacity and hindrance factors affecting the community's activities by exploring the process of restoring the community's environmental pollution. This study examined the community activities related to the restoration of pollution that occurred at the former Janghang smelter in Seocheon-gun. The results of this study showed that leaders, cooperative resources, and the media were elements positively influencing the recovery of the community. The starting point that became the driving force for community activities was the presence of a leader who had a small stake in it. Moreover, it required cooperation such as the continuous interest of local active groups and residents to continue this effort. Above all, the media publicized the incident and amplified the activities of members. Meanwhile, there were various conflicts hindering the activities of local communities in the process of restoring the pollution such as the internal conflicts of community groups, conflicts between residents and active groups, and conflicts with the government. The behaviors that appeared in the process of restoring the pollution revealed a form of united governance. Moreover, they changed from an initial "supportive" character to "resistant" and "defensive" activities. Later, it was transformed into "subjective" and "creative" activities.

  • IT industry has rapidly changed with unlimited competition. In this situation, this article is searching for methods to enhance work engagement(WE) which increases workers' and organizations' performance. Servant leadership(SL) involves organizational change, thus one dimension of SL named commitment to the growth of people(CGP) which focuses on people' development would play a decisive role in IT industry, since member's capacity makes a success of this field. Since CGP would influence on perceived organizational support(POS), workers would have positive attitude to work. Furthermore, expectancy has a critical role for CGP which is related to the future. In future oriented viewpoint, if a leader supported members' growth and they had positive expectancy for the future, they would have higher POS, then WE also will be increased. The purpose of this study is to explain the importance of CGV, expectancy and POS, since they enhance WE which is the key factor for success of IT organizations and members in today.

  • 방송 산업은 종래 아날로그 TV에서 최근 디지털 TV로의 급격한 전환이 이루어지고 있으나, 디지털 방송의 도입에 부응하는 국내 방송 장비의 수급은 수요에 비해 크게 떨어지고 있다. 특히, 미국, 일본 등의 선진국의 TV는 이미 디지털화 하거나 2011년 전환 예정으로 있으며, 전 세계적으로는 디지털 전환에 맞물려 방송장비 시장이 2015년 810억 달러를 상회하는 등 큰 규모로 확대가 예상되나 국내 방송장비 산업체는 방송사의 수요 독점과 영세성 등으로 열악한 실정이다. 이에 방송장비 산업의 취약성 극복을 위하여 대규모 예산을 투입할 예정이나 보다 효율적이고 경쟁력 있는 산업 육성이 필요한 시점이다. 이에 본 논문은 방송장비 산업 활성화 방안으로 철저한 수요조사에 따른 경쟁력 있는 개발 대상 장비 선정, 지원 체계의 일원화, 해외 시장 진출시 요구되는 인중 비용 지원, 국내 장비의 고품질화 실현을 위한 인력 양성과 홍보 강화 등을 제안한다. 국내 방송장비 산업에 대한 관심과 활성화 지원은 방송 콘텐츠 성장의 굳건한 인프라를 제공할 뿐만 아니라, 향후 방송통신 융합 분야의 리더로 성장하는데 큰 역할을 담당할 것으로 본 연구를 통하여 파악되었다.
