This study analyzed status and demand of participation in lifelong education for 218 residents of low-income class according to National Basic Livelihood Security Act. The results of the study are as follows. First, among the statuses of participation in lifelong education, the abilities to study of the low-income class were reviewed. They showed 95.3% of foreign language ability, 66.1% of ICT utilization capacity and 75.7% of computer literacy ability. And the lifelong education participation rate of low-income people was 75.7% It was considered as passive participation in education. Voluntary participation was identified and analyzed. The the actual participation rate in lifelong education was very low at 22.9%. Social participation and awareness according to participation in lifelong education was 43.3% higher than that of respondents who had no participation experience. Especially, voluntary participants showed 73.3% higher than those who did not participate. Second, as a result of analyzing lifelong education of low income class, 74.8% of the respondents answered that there is wished education program. And 50.0% of them could not participate because they did not have enough time. The programs that they wanted to participate in were the programs that could help their real lives such as home life, health and medical courses, professional qualification obtaining process, etc. This indicates that the income level plays a significant role in participation in lifelong education. As a result of analyzing the results of this study above, Korean lifelong education is emphasized and the participation rate is increasing rapidly. However, participation of low-income class in lifelong education seems low.
The purpose of this study is to explore the perceptions and tasks of lifelong education for individuals with disabilities, including the necessity of lifelong education and the range and content of it for the disabled. The research method is a focus group interview with 4 managers of lifelong education institutions for the disabled, and the data were analyzed according to the process of thematic analysis method proposed by Braun and Clarke(2006), which is one of qualitative data analysis methods. The results of the analysis are as follows: First, the lifelong education for the disabled is needed, because, unlike the non-disabled, the disabled are less able to recognize and respond to social changes, which requires equipment or convenience facilities to improve it. Second, the range of lifelong education for the disabled was suggested as social life including daily life, vocational ability development education, culture·art·physical training, and those required by individuals with disabilities. Third, the lifelong education institutions for the disabled are lack of experts and have difficulty in communicating between practitioners and the disabled. In conclusion, it is required to provide lifelong education by self-determination of the disabled in the community by priority.

The purposes of this study were to determine the relationship between school education for life-long education and home economics education. to analyze the present state of the life-long education programs through the school in terms of the home economics education, and to understand the role and obtainable qualification of the home economics teachers as the life-long education leader. The results of this study was intended to provide as fundamental materials for direction and plans for life-long education programs in terms of home economics educations. This study was conducted through the analysis of the literature on life long education and the working reports for-16 model schools nationwide for life long education. The results are as follows : 1. The objectives and contents for programs should be developed systematically on the relationship with society. 2. The structure of programs should be developed by characters of organizations, school levels, and regions. 3. Programs should be classified by the purposes and constructed systematically. 4. The subject of programs should be all the members of a family, not only house wives or female adults. 5. The compensation system should be followed for the home economics teachers participating on the program of life long education. 6. Various opportunities for education should be provided to the home economics teachers who want to obtain the qualification as a family-life educator.

With the advent of lifelong learning society, most of the cities in Korea have been promoting the construction of lifelong learning city. At this point, the purpose of this study is to configure regional learning programs and apply them to the actual world. Important results of this study can be outlined as follows; First, the regional learning programs in the lifelong learning society are desirable to be configurated with the situated learning method focused on the characteristics of learners, instructors and the local contexts. In addition, the active training of regional human resources such as organizing learning circles and SERVICE-LEARNING through the participation of them is effective as a teaching method. Secondly, the consequence through the field excursion calling itself 'the geography exploration group', organized by the researcher and involved with participants together provoked the paradigm shift on their region and the regional identity. Thirdly, the active participation of local experts including geography teachers should be needed for the popularization of geography education. Hence, if we continue to develop the local learning programs tailored to regional traits and apply them to the actual world, geography education will play an important role to build the stable foundation in the lifelong learning society.
An ideology what a modern society seeks is lifelong employment through lifelong learning. The single word which draws the attainment is lifelong vocational competency development. This study is designed for exploring its possibility and limit of a redesign of it, and tries to propose efficiently a redesign idea of a vocational educational path. To this end, it was analyzed by a subject for a national human resource foundation plan and a lifelong bocational competency development foundation plan. In addition to that, it was covered a structure and content analysis of main laws and regulations which are a base of policy making. An educational path could be divided into an area of formal education system, an area of workplace for labors, and an area of lifelong vocational competency development. And the insights were drawn by pulling apart an operational situation of main organizations and a recurrent process of the educational path. The redesign plan of a vocational education path we did analyze to activate lifelong vocational competency development system is deduced as following. Firstly, it should be re-organized with a direction towards an effective manpower training to be linked with skills and demands required by an industry. Secondly, it should be generalized for a model of recurrence between work and learning and its alternation for lifelong vocational competency development. Thirdly, it should create a cluster in the region for lifelong vocational competency development so that it is to form an efficient network to have a division of labor and its liaison with cooperative relationship.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the operation status and supply patterns of lifelong education programs for people with disabilities and to find ways to enhance lifelong education functions of the welfare centers for people with disabilities. For the study, 1,496 lifelong education programs supplied by 104 disability welfare centers nationwide in 2016 were analyzed. The results of this study were as follows: First, the lifelong education programs provided by the welfare center for people with disabilities were 1,496, which provided an average of 14.4 programs per institution. According to the education cycle, the most operating program was 3~4 times a month, and the most operating program was more than 7 months by education period. Furthermore adult target program by main target and self management program by operating type were the most. Second, the analysis of the supply patterns of the lifelong education programs for people with disabilities showed that 53.5% of the respondents said that culture and arts education was the most important, followed by the liberal arts education 22.3%, basic literacy education 10.1%, and vocational ability improvement education 9.2% appear. Third, as a result of analyzing the supply patterns of lifelong education programs for people with disabilities, it showed significant difference in the supply patterns of lifelong education programs by metropolitan area, non - metropolitan area, region and urbanization level.

This study aims to investigate the mediation effect of creativity in the relationship between the core competencies of lifelong educators and the life competencies of adult learners. A survey was conducted for adults participating in the lifelong education programs in lifelong education institutes in Gyeonggi-do. Consequently, a toows. First, among the life competencies of adult learners, the problem solving ability showed the highest correlations with the planning, action, and support competencies, which are the sub-factors of the core cotal of 520 questionnaires were used for research analysis. The main findings of this study are as follmpetencies of lifelong educators. Among the creativity factors of adult learners, unique flexibility showed high correlations with the life competencies of adult learners. Second, the core competencies and creativity of lifelong educators had a 74.6% effect on the life competencies of adult learners. Among them, creativity was a variable that had a greater effect on the life competencies of adult leaners than on the core competencies of lifelong educators. Third, the mediation effect of creativity in the relationship between the core competencies of lifelong educators and the life competencies of adult learners was verified. The results of this study proved that the creativity of adult learners is an important variable for improving life competencies and that qualitative improvement through the core competencies of lifelong educators is required.
As the value of lifelong learning becomes important, states are making efforts to build a system of lifelong learning. According to this tendency, this paper intends to compare the participation rate of lifelong learning, learning outcomes, learning support infrastructure, support of learning expenses, and recognition of lifelong learning. For the comparative pedagogical approach, Bray and Thomas' cubes such as geographical / regional level, non - geographical demographic statistics, social and educational aspects were utilized. The participation rate of lifelong learning in Korea is 34.4% in 2017, which is lower than the OECD average of 46%. The competency scores of Korean adults were lower than the OECD national averages of the PIAAC survey which measured adult competence, language ability, numeracy, and computer-based problem solving ability. In order to recognize prior learning, EU countries have developed EQFs to evaluate all non-formal and informal learning outcomes, while Korea recognizes qualification as a credit banking credit under the academic credit banking system. International comparisons of lifelong learning can be used as an important tool for diagnosing the actual conditions of lifelong learning in a country and establishing future lifelong learning policies. Therefore, it is necessary to maintain that the comparative pedagogical approach of lifelong learning differs according to the historical context, socioeconomic characteristics, and population dynamics, including the formation process and characteristics of modern countries.

This study analyzes on the perception of public librarians about lifelong education tasks in public library using Mann Whitney U-test, Spearman rank-order correlation coefficient, Multiple regression analysis. At the same time, analysis about re-education needs using Analytic Hierarchy Process is conducted. As result, at first, 87% of respondents feel moderate or difficult about lifelong education tasks, especially on planning task. At second, librarians who have qualification about lifelong educator feel easier (P=0.04) than others, in detail, task about lecturer liaison (P=0.04) and planning (P=0.05). Adding that, the career experience and the job difficulty of librarians has negative relationship (R=-0.217). Especially scheduling (R=-0.33) and progressing (R=-0.22) tasks show statistically meaningful. At third, as the result of Multiple regression analysis, tasks about planning (P=0.04) and library marketing (P=0.05) are selected as meaningful elements which effect overall difficulty of life long education job. As final, 91% of librarian need retraining for life long education function, as result of spearman (R=-0.210), the more librarians feels difficult about life long education jobs, the more they need retraining. Anyway, as the result of priority of retraining subjects through AHP technique, user communication (CU P=0.310), planning (PL P=0.246), library marketing (LM P=0.173) are in weight order. CR ratio shows 0.146 with permissible degree.
