Objective : The study is to investigate current state of leisure activity in people with stroke (including leisure activity that people with stroke participate and hope, the reason why people with stroke paticipate in leisure activity, the cost that spent in leisure activity, and leisure activity satisfaction) on community rehabilitation center. Method : Frequency analysis were performed with the SPSS 12.0 statistics package program. Result : First, the findings showed that leisure activity participated most of people with stroke disabled appear as 'swimming', and appear sequence 'gate ball', 'yoga', 'energy gymnastics' on sports leisure activity. Second, the findings showed that leisure activity costs are fifth thousand won a month on average, most of people with stroke experienced satisfactory state in leisure activity. Third, the findings showed that leisure activity appeared to satisfaction 63.1% people with stroke disabled used the community rehabilitation center. Conclusion : First, The community rehabilitation center must develop leisure activity for people with stroke. Second, Leisure activity needs to support financial affairs. Third, leisure activity need professor for body function improve. Fourth, leisure activity must participates with the community sociaty.

The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of the social exclusion factor of elderly people in a local community on their psychological wellbeing and whether or not social support would perform a mediating role in the relationship between social exclusion factor and psychological wellbeing. The subjects in this study were the elderly people who registered with a senior welfare center located in North Jeolla Province. The findings of the study were as follows: First, the social exclusion factor and social support factor of the elderly people were found to have exerted a statistically significant influence on psychological wellbeing. Second, the social support factor was found to have had partial mediating effects on the relationship between the social exclusion factor and psychological wellbeing. The findings of the study illustrated that the social support factor played a buffering role in the social exclusion factor that affected the psychological wellbeing of the elderly people.

Recently the change of social environment has influence on the living of human for the complexity and the variety. And so the relation of architecture and function required the complex space. The government tried to complex the service for healthcare and social welfare by the exhibition model for health and welfare center. In this sence, this study aims to explore the basic data for the planning of location to the community welfare center and the healthcare facility in a district by grasping the difference of level at facility among region. In sum, the useful data were collected, analyzed, and synthesized through this study and could be used in the relevant research in the future as reference informations.

The purpose of this study is to verify the influence of volunteering on the sense of community and the community capacity, and the mediating effect of the sense of community on the relationship between volunteering variables(the period and satisfaction of volunteering) and the community capacity as well. Study population is 1,416 elderly volunteers who participated in the government-sponsored elderly volunteer program for prevention of depression and suicide in 2016. The results show that the experience of volunteering plays an important role in improving the sense of community and the community capacity among the older participants. As for the analysis of the mediating effect, the sense of community has a perfect mediating effect between the period of volunteering and the community capacity, and a partial mediating effect between volunteering satisfaction and the community capacity. Based on these findings, the theoretical and practical implications were discussed.

The citizen-initiative has been frequently mentioned in community building project which is being promoted by Seoul City. The citizen-initiative has become an important concept in the direction of community welfare efforts. However, this concept has not been defined clearly in social welfare. In this context, the purpose of this study is to find how the practitioners of the social welfare practice field recognize the concept of citizen-initiative. In this study, concept mapping method was used to generate 59 statements about the citizeninitiative in 10 social workers in Seoul. Multidimensional scaling analysis and hierarchical cluster analysis are used to do mapping and grouping the 59 statements. The results are as follows. A total of 6 categories were derived. The six categories are named "Inducement of Participation", "Practice", "Procedure", "Awareness and Interest extension", "Expression of Opinion", "Attitude and Emotion". "Practice" category was revealed as a core category in the concept of citizen-initiative. This study is meaningful as a first step to discuss "what is the citizen-initiative?" and to make consensus in social welfare academic area and practice field.

In this study, The aim of this qualitative study was to investigate the effect of residential and itinerant education, as well as local social welfare services on the social adaptation behavior and self-efficiency of disabled students. To this end, a preliminary investigation, program execution, and post-examination was conducted on 5 disabled students during a period of 6 months from March 6^th of 2018 to September 5^th of the same year. The results of the study is as follows. First, residential and itinerant education as well as local social welfare services appear to be closely related to the social adaptation behavior of the disabled students, especially in terms of social cognition, interpersonal relations, social adaptation, and vocational function. Second, participating in local social welfare services has been proven to improve the self-efficiency of the subjects, leading to increased self-confidence and trust in their own abilities. As the result of this study was positively accepted by the residential educators, local social welfare service researchers, disabled center workers, volunteer workers, and family members of the students, it proposes a practical implication for creating more diverse social adaptation behavior improvement programs by connecting residential and itinerant education with local social welfare services.

The purpose of this study is to observe whether the specialized quality programs of senior welfare centers actually help service users and meet their needs. In order to find out, we have utilized three different research methods. First, an in-depth interview was generated among the service users of senior welfare centers. Second, the specialized quality program in senior welfare centers was analyzed. Third, a focused group interview among the senior welfare experts was conducted. Based on the results of this study, they suggest four practical proposals. First is to enhancing programs of senior welfare centers based on the service users' rights. Second is to providing high-class services by developing and transforming the 'elderly culture.' Third is to converting the existing programs to make associations with their local communities. Last is to building a network as a hub to communicate and sharing outstanding programs within senior welfare centers.

This study intends to develope the resident leadership training in order to activate community organizations. Recently, it has been largely stressed the importance of "community" approach in social welfare practice. Traditionally, the community organization approach was emphasized in the community work methods. But many social workers express their difficulty of doing community organizations when they confront with the practice. Although there were a few cases, it was pointed out that the subgroups of long-lease housing project were not democratic, accountable, or open. This study shows the way to overcome these problems and suggests the programs that can reinforce the resident leadership development. To accomplish these tasks, I have planned programs, implemented, and then analyzed their process by qualitative evaluation methods. I have divided "the general community organization" and "the welfare community organization" to operate the leadership program and took the education and training methods using small groups. This study is significant to suggest the specific program of program planning, the activity methods of step by step community organization practice, and the formation of self- help groups.

The purpose of this study is to establish fundamental knowledge on the experience for building resource system using the social networks within the community. This study used a social capital perspective and the grounded theory method based on Strauss and Corbin(1998) and Corbin(2004). Interviews were conducted with 14 Korean social workers (general managers and assistant managers) at community welfare centers who have developed resources by using the social networks or social relations for more than 3 years. In creating autonomy and sustainability of community, there are four types of social worker's efforts in building resource system within the community: 'restoring norms of reciprocity', 'developing citizen's capabilities', 'mobilizing resources through community organizations', and 'utilizing external resource-networks'. These results are contribute to developing theory on social welfare resources using community networks according to characteristics of a community.

Client satisfaction has been getting more attention in the field of social work in Korea. However, there have been very few standardized tools to measure the construct. The purpose of this study is to develop the Korean version of the Client Satisfaction Inventory developed by McMurtry and Hudson. This study was conducted with a total of 259 clients of 6 social service agencies in Seoul metropolitan areas. Based upon the results of factor analysis, the Korean version of the Client Satisfaction Inventory(CSI-K) is considered a two-factor measure. The alpha coefficients of the subscales of the CSI-K are .964 and .885 which are considered very high. The subscales are significantly correlated with convergent variables and very weakly correlated with discriminant variables. It is suggested that scales more suitable for social work settings in Korean be developed.
