With the qualitative methods for casino-related policy analysis on sense of residents, the degrees of expectation, support, adequacy, awareness, participation, contribution, and benefit which were derived from results are as follows: Firstly, from the recognition analysis on casino related policy, recognition III ranked at the top, and benefit and contribution II followed next. From the result, promotion policy on closed mine area fell short of expectations. The second phase of development project and appropriate the dead-mine development fund for promotion of substitute industry by the needs of residents. Secondly, derived from the comparative evaluation of casino-related industry, all comparison targets ; awareness of promoting policy and contribution to regional development, participation and contribution to Regional development, benefits and contribution to regional development, participation in the closed-mine area and contribution to regional balanced development, and lastly benefits and regional balanced development) are related to each other.

Germany is trying to establish 'Metropolregionen' (metropolitan regions) through new regional development policies, in an effort to develop mega economic regions. The paper aims to analyze backgrounds and strategies for developing the 'Metropolregionen' in Germany and to examine policy implications. This research could help finding appropriate regional policies to develop the mega economic regions in Korea.

The aim of this article is to analyze the relationship between the change of the diversity of the industrial structure, and regional employmentability and the intensification of regional competitiveness, and consequently, is to present policy implications. As a result of the analysis of the whole industry such as the primary, secondary and tertiary industry in Chungnam Province, the existing strategic implementation on the employmentability and regional competitiveness throughout the policy on the existing specialized industries can be regarded as appropriate. However, under the condition that danger and stability in each industry are fluctuated and the internal and external circumstances are varied, the detailed analysis and rapid policy prescription on the primary and tertiary industry are required. Along with these results, policy implications are as follows; Firstly, in terms of effectiveness, regional policy are simultaneously conducted along with industrial, technological and regional development's policies while consider ing complex and comprehensive characteristics of the regional industry and rapid changing the global market conditions. Secondly, with respect to equity, regional policy is needed to implement by reducing the socio-economic gap across regions and mixing regional and sectoral policies along with regional and local uniqueness.

Urban logistics plan of the previous cargo distribution law has changed into city logistics plan of logistics policy law in which its contents adjusted into direction to improve logistics industries, economic well-being and lifestyle conditions of the city. But the city logistics planning didn't include yet a systematic backbone that plans a vision, performs propelled plan to realize it, and then gives feedback through scientific evaluation indexes. In this context, this paper reviews the previous logistics plans and helps operating and managing a efficient city logistics plan a mid-long term through representative index development required to establish city logistics plan.

워터프론트의 의미 특히 친수공간과 워터프론트의 차이와 함께 유래와 변천을 살펴보고자 하였다. 아울러 수역적 관점에서 워터프론트 개발사례와 개발의 주요 목적을 구분하였다. 또한 유럽 각국과 미국 등에서의 시기별, 유형별 개발의 주안점과 키워드를 정리하는 한편 개발이 지역경제에 미치는 영향을 정성적으로 다루어보고자 하였다. 마지막으로 관광활성화를 목적으로 하는 경우의 전제조건과 도입사례를 제시하였고, 우리나라 항만친수공간 관련 정책의 전개와 문제점을 제시하였다.

This paper examines the regional economic development policies of the Welsh Development Agency for attracting companies from the perspective of industrial location theory. The Welsh Development Agency has succeeded in attracting domestic or international capital, as a core actor for the regional economic development, and responded to the changing business environment and to the specific and various needs of the investors. The analysis of the Welsh case provides an important theoretical and practical implications. First, the Welsh case shows the importance of the role of the public sectors for the regional economic development. As the behavioral approach and the industrial location theory argue, the attraction of domestic or international capital led to the regional economic development. Second, the effective activities for attracting capital played an important role in the development. The quality and quantity of the information, in the industrial location theory, and the capacity of the business groups, in the behavioral approach, are significant factors of the development. Third, incentives by the Agency are also important. This finding not only supports the classical location model based on the cost and profits, but also the behavioral approach. Finally, the Welsh case could not succeeded in gaining regional economic competitiveness, even though attracting companies, by disregarding the industrial specialization strategy at the local level. This implies that we need to build industrial clusters. In sum, the behavioral approach has significant implications to the understanding of the public policies for attracting companies.

Recently, housing prices have surged, and the government has implemented various regulations, such as finance and taxes. Because of the policy, the nationwide housing price have stabilized, but polarization has occurred. Some argue that regulation can adversely affect the actual demand. Therefore, not only the correlation between market variables but also ripple effect of policy has to be analyzed in policy planning and analysis from a microscopic point of view. In this study, a simulation model was developed by integrating system dynamics for analyzing market structure and agent-based model for modeling decision process of market participants. This research applied the financial regulation and the tax regulation to the model and evaluated the policy effectiveness. This study reveals which feedback dominates according to the policies, which have same purpose. It is because market participants make different decision for each policy. Furthermore, there were other ripple effects not only in the policy target submarket but also in other submarket.

The purpose of this study is to examine the characteristics of regional structure in metropolitan and surrounding areas in Busan metropolitan and Gyeongsang-Namdo. An analysis of urban growth factors with change process, that data suggests a urban management direction of Busan metropolitan and Gyeongsang-Namdo for the future. The findings of this study are summarized as follows: 1) factor analysis result 5 factors appeared, with this result use to cluster analysis of all 4 cluster. 2) The regional structure of Busan metropolitan and Gyeongsang-Namdo are accelerated know that is most industry connection areas concentration of southeast. 3) It is considered to regional development must be activated.

본 연구는 북한의 지역격차를 분석하고, 상대적으로 낙후된 지역에 대한 개발전략으로서, 북한의 경제발전을 위해 확대.설치가 불가피한 경제특구와 연계하여 지역균형개발전략을 모색해 보았다. 북한의 지역간 인구성장 분석에 의하면, 북한은 지역균형개발정책에도 불구하고, 종주도시 평양과 여타 지역간에 극심한 지역격차를 보이고 있다. 따라서 앞으로 경제특구는 낙후된 지역 즉, 평양을 제외한 여타 지역에 고르게 입지하는 전략이 요구된다는 점을 가조하였다. 그리고 경제특구는 북한의 보유자원 관점에서 노동집약적인 가공공업형 경제특구와 관광형 경제특구로 나누어 추진되는 것이 바람직하며, 입지 후보지로는 신의주.남포.해주.청진.김책.함흥.원산 등의 지구는 가공공업형 경제특구로, 금강산.백두산.묘향산 등의 지구는 관광형 경제특구로 적합하다고 제안하였다.
