An improvement of the learning speed through Improved Reinforcement Learning on Jul-Gonu Game (개선된 강화학습을 이용한 줄고누게임의 학습속도개선)

  • It takes quite amount of time to study a board game because there are many game characters and different stages are exist for board games. Also, the opponent is not just a single character that means it is not one on one game, but group vs. group. That is why strategy is needed, and therefore applying optimum learning is a must. This paper used reinforcement learning algorithm for board characters to learn, and so they can move intelligently. If there were equal result that both are considered to be best ones during the course of learning stage, Heuristic which utilizes learning of problem area of Jul-Gonu was used to improve the speed of learning. To compare a normal character to an improved one, a board game was created, and then they fought against each other. As a result, improved character's ability was far more improved on learning speed.

Development of Robot Contents for STEAM education (STEAM 교육을 위한 로봇 콘텐츠 개발)

  • Educational learning methods that take advantage of a robot provide opportunities for students to develop high dimensional thinking, a creative expression and discovery learning opportunity. It is also perceived as a suitable tool for STEAM systems which can be used in a variety of school curriculums. Therefore we designed and developed STEAM educational contents using robots in this study. This study analyze elementary text books and design the convergence contents from various subjects such as math, science, engineering and art through a robot. This study has developed educational materials by making a robot based on the designed contents. They have been applied to after school materials and then evaluated for comprehension, interest and participation. The results of this study have shown very encouraging evaluations from participating students. Accordingly, this study has shown that STEAM contents that take advantage of a robot have improved student participation, interests, and comprehension in the curriculums. Additionally, integrating STEAM educational content has proved more effective in contrast to being separated.

서비스 기업의 연구개발 활동에 관한 연구

  • 선진국의 경제구조가 서비스경제로 전환됨에 따라 고부가가치를 낼 수 있는 지식기반 (Knowledge-based) 또는 기술기반 (Technology-based) 서비스의 중요성이 부각되고 있으며 서비스 기업들간의 경쟁도 매우 치열해지고 있다. 서비스 기업들은 보다 차별화 된 고객가치를 창출하고 미래의 핵심역량을 확보하기 위해 다양한 활동을 전개하고 있으나 제조기업과는 달리 대부분의 서비스 기업들에게 연구개발 (Research and Development, R&D)이라는 개념은 매우 생소한 상태이다. 최근 유럽을 중심으로 서비스기업의 연구개발에 관한 논의가 활발히 진행되고 있지만 서비스기업의 특성을 포괄하는 연구개발에 대한 정의를 내리는 수준에 머물고 있다. 최근 우리나라 정부에서도 서비스 연구개발에 관한 정책입안을 위해 연구를 진행하고 있는바, 서비스기업에서의 연구개발에 대한 정의, 조직, 예산, 활동영역, 산출물 및 이에 따른 정책적 지원 등에 관한 학계에서의 연구는 거의 이루어지지 않고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 서비스기업의 연구개발활동을 도출하고 연구개발투자와 기업성과와의 관계를 분석함으로써 효과적인 연구개발 투자규모를 도출하는 것이 목표이다. 이 때 서비스기업의 연구개발활동이라 함은 연구개발 대상, 수행조직, 연구개발의 중요성이 포함된다. 또한 연구개발투자와 1-2년 후의 매출 및 순이익의 변화를 분석한다. 실증분석을 위해 기술기반 서비스를 대표하는 국내 IT서비스 기업을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며 다양한 통계분석을 활용하였다. 연구결과 대부분의 서비스 기업 응답자가 연구개발의 중요성을 크게 느끼고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 기업마다 부서별 또는 중앙 연구개발센터를 중심으로 다양한 연구개발활동을 수행하고 있으며 연구개발투자가 기업성과로 연계되기 위해서는 최고경영자의 관심이 가장 중요한 요인인 것으로 지적되었다. 가장 효과적인 연구개발 투자규모는 매출액 대비 15-19%인 것으로 분석되었는데 이는 벤처기업의 특성을 갖는 중소 IT서비스 기업들의 참여가 많았기 때문일 것으로 해석된다. 본 연구의 결과는 우리나라 서비스기업들이 미래준비를 위한 활동을 전개함에 있어 고려해야 할 주요 요인들을 제시해 줄 것이다.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide a useful reference for the elementary school mathematics curriculum of Japan. For this research, we compare the new version of the elementary school mathematics curriculum of Japan and Korea. Roughly speaking, Japan emphasized learning through mathematical ability. On the other hand, the case of Korea, a special emphasis was placed on the ability of problem-solving and mathematical communication. These abilities developed on the base of the mathematical knowledge and skill. The ratio of teaching time are high on mathematics, but Japan ensures much more hours than Korea. Finally we will focus on the result for the application process of the primary school mathematics curriculum.

A Study on Correlation Analysis of Programming Ability and Logical Thinking Ability for the Gifted Children in IT (정보영재아동의 프로그래밍 능력과 논리적 사고능력 상관관계 분석 연구)

  • In current knowledge-based society, national competitiveness and growth of society depend on advances in information and communication technologies considerably. In order to grow advances in information and communication technologies, it is essential to identify and foster gifted children in IT as early as possible. In gifted education in IT, enhancing programming ability and logical thinking ability is very important and is also a part of objectives of gifted education in IT. The purpose of this paper is to identify correlation of programming ability and logical thinking ability for the gifted children in IT. For this purpose, gifted children from a gifted institution at Seoul are selected and their test scores during the period of attendance at institution are analyzed. Also, for extensive analysis, the test scores had been collected for 6 years. Based on thorough statistical analysis, the conclusion is that programming ability and logical thinking ability highly correlate each other. This conclusion can be used to decide and affect a selection examination, curriculum, and selection of an exemplary programming language for gifted education in IT.

  • SW-based service model is considered strategic industry in the advancement of national economic development. Also SW-based service model has Public Interest and Profitability, it should be conducted assessment considering both sides of private and public reflection. To obtain the goal of this research, firstly, based on broadly reviewing previous literature and logical reasoning in business model evaluation and feasibility of public business. Secondly, derived SW-based service model's feature through a group of experts to analyze. And AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) is adopted in developing the influential factors (indexes) for the profitability of each SW-based service model and the weight score of each factor. In the result, We suggested 5 evaluation areas, and 15 evaluation items reflecting private business model, public business evaluation and SW-based service model feature. The findings of this study are thought to be useful as a practical guideline in performing evaluating the SW-based service model for private and public sector.

  • Diagnostic problem solving is a major application area of knowledge-based systems research. However, most of the current approaches, both heuristic and model-based, are designed to identify single faults, and do not generalize easily to multiple fault diagnosis without exhibiting exponential behavior in the amount of computation required. In this paper, we employ a decomposition approach based on system configuration to generate an efficient algorithm for multiple fault diagnosis. The basic idea of the algorithm is to reduce the inherent combinatorial explosion that occurs in generating multiple faults by partitioning the circuit into groups that correspond to output measurement points.   • The purpose of this study was to develop ICT(Information and Communication Technology) teaching-learning materials for motorcycle safety education. Physical subjects which are relevant with motorcycle dynamics were introduced to increase the safety awareness through integrated learning such as the combination of technology and science. The results of this study were as follows : (1) Utilizing the physics basic theories which are relevant to motorcycle dynamics, the lesson plan of motorcycle ICT teaching-learning materials, which were included to plan and instruction action plan, was developed. (2) Flash animation or movie was developed to apply physics knowledge to technology in driving motorcycle. This is able to improve the attitude of driving motorcycle of students. (3) Through the contents of appendix of motorcycle safety driving section in this web-site developed here, junior and senior high school students would be able to strengthen their cognitive domain of motorcycle by themselves. (4) Using the web-site of this study, both teachers and students would be able to freely interact through an online bulletin board.

The Effect of User-Centered Categorization System of Homepages on Directory Search (사용자 중심의 홈페이지 분류체계가 분류 검색에 미치는 효과)

  • Categorization systems of homepages in search engines are likely to be constructed considering system's efficiency only but not user-centered. This study I investigated user's mental model of superordinate and subordinate categories using category terms of major Korean search engines. From this result, we constructed two kinds of categorization system; redundant system and singular system. In the redundant system, for example, a subordinate category can belong to a number of superordinate categories, but in the singular system to only one superordinate category Three prototype categorization systems, with 'Simmani', were designed and search performances of each system were observed repetitively Overall results, with frequency of correct a answers, number of steps and time taken in solution taken into account, showed the redundant system was superior to the other two systems. This indicates that categorization search could be improved with appropriate categorizaton system. However. l in recognition test score in singular system was the best, which indicates that search performance and recognition memory of categorization reveal different aspects of categorization system learning. Issues of category organization. ways of interface, prior knowledge, exploratory learning, and application areas are discussed further.

  • Under the knowledge-based economy in 21C, the convergence and complexity in science and technology are being more active. Interoperability between heterogeneous domains is a very important point considered in the field of scholarly information service as well information standardization. Thus we suggest the systematic solution method to flexibly extend classification scheme in order for content management and service organizations. Especially, This paper shows that automatic method for interoperability between heterogeneous scholarly classification code structures will be effective in enhancing the information service system.
