Comparison of Bio-Optical Properties of the Yellow Sea and the East Sea using SeaWiFS Data (SeaWiFS 자료를 이용한 황해와 동해의 생물광학 특성 비교)

  • Three lines from $36_{\circ}$ N, $124_{\circ}$ E, and $132_{\circ}$ E of the East Sea and the Yellow Sea were chosen to extract spectra of normalized water leaving radiances. Comparative analysis of the OCTS algorithm and SeaWiFS(OC-2) algorithms was presented here. OCTS algorithm have more overestimate than SeaWiFS(OC-2 algorithm) for detecting chlorophyll concentration. Atmospheric correction algorithm that is excluded the effect of SS in the case 2 water need for long term ocean environmental monitoring of the East Sea and the Yellow Sea. And, considered the effect of CDOM and SS, bio-optical algorithm have to be developed in this research.

  • 강우침식인자는 강우사상(rainfall event)으로 인한 토양침식량을 산정하는 지표(index)로서 일정기간 토양침식의 정도를 산정할 수 있는 범용토양유식공식(Universal Soil Loss Equation)을 구성하고 있는 인자 중 가장 값의 변동성이 크고 동일한 조건에서 토양유실량 산정에 큰 영향을 미치는 인자다. 강우침식인자의 산정은 유량탐사 센서나 강우게이지 자료(pluviograph)로부터 12.7mm이상, 최소 15분간 6.35mm이상의 호우사상을 추출하여 해당하는 호우사상에 대한 강우에너지식에 30분 최대강우강도를 곱한 값의 연평균값을 계산한 것이다(Wischmeier and Smith, 1978). 본 연구에서는 범용토양유실공식(USLE)의 강우침식인 자(R)를 산정하고 지리정보시스템(GIS)을 활용하여 공간적 분포를 나타낼 수 있는 만경강 유역 상류부에 위치한 봉동 수위관측소 유역의 토양침식도를 연도별로 도시하였으며, 2001~2010년까지의 10개년 강우량을 바탕으로 토양침삭량을 산정하였다. 그 결과는 강우량이 많을수록 침식인자가 크게 산정되는 일반적인 결과를 기대 할 수 있지만, 2001~2010년까지 10개년 강우침식인자를 분석한 결과 강우량이 많다하여 침식인자의 변화 값이 크게 반응하는 값보다 강우강도에 의해 침식인자가 크게 반응하는 결과를 보였다. 따라서 강우침식인자는 강우량보다는 강우강도에 좌우됨을 알 수 있었다.

  • 과거 무분별하게 획일화되어 개발되었던 하천 개발 사업으로 인해 수질오염과 생태계 훼손으로 하천의 건천화 현상이 발생함에 따라 최근 하천복원 사업이 적극적으로 계획·추진되고 있다. 수생태계의 건강성과 종적 연속성을 회복하기 위한 하천복원사업에 앞서 하천환경의 현상태에 대한 평가는 매우 중요한 부분이다. 유럽과 미국에서는 드론을 활용하여 하천관리 및 재해 피해조사가 활발하게 이루어지고 있었다. 국내의 센서기술과 무선통신 기술의 발전으로 인해 실시간 수집 가능한 정보의 범위가 늘어남에 따라 국내 하천환경 분야에서는 드론을 활용하여 획득된 원격탐사(RS) 자료와 지리정보 데이터베이스를 접목한 하천 공간조사 연구가 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 본 연구에서는 2019년 국토부에서 제시한 하천환경 평가체계에 따라 국내 도시하천중 하천복원사업을 시행하였던 청미천 지역에 대해 현장 조사와 UAV 영상, 항공영상을 활용하여 하천환경평가 결과를 비교하고자 한다. 하천환경평가체계 지침서는 캐나다(2013) 온타리오 하천평가기법을 참조하였으며, 급경사/중경사/완경사로 구분되며 사전조사와 현장조사 야장으로 구성되나 본 연구에서는 물리 평가지표만을 대상으로 하였다. UAV를 이용하여 촬영한 영상을 PIX4D 프로그램을 활용하여 정합한 후 획득된 색체정보를 활용하여 하천환경평가를 실시하였으며, 항공영상은 국토지리정보원의 국토정보플랫폼 국토정보맵에서 다운받은 자료를 활용하였다.

A Study on Building the HD Map Prototype Based on Web GIS for the Generation of the Precise Road Maps (정밀도로지도 제작을 위한 Web GIS 기반 HD Map 프로토타입 구축 연구)

  • For the safe operation of autonomous vehicles, the representative technology of the 4th industrial revolution era, a combination of various technologies such as sensor technology, software technology and car technology is required. An autonomous vehicle is a vehicle that recognizes current location and situation by using the various sensors, and makes its own decisions without depending on the driver. Perfect recognition technology is required for fully autonomous driving. Since the precise road maps provide various road information including lanes, stop lines, traffic lights and crosswalks, it is possible to minimize the cognitive errors that occur in autonomous vehicles by using the precise road maps with location information of the road facilities. In this study, the definition, necessity and technical trends of the precise road map have been analyzed, and the HD(High Definition) map prototype based on the web GIS has been built in the autonomous driving-specialized areas of Daegu Metropolitan City(Suseong Medical District, about 24km), the Happy City of Sejong Special Self-Governing City(about 33km), and the FMTC(Future Mobility Technical Center) PG(Proving Ground) of Seoul National University Siheung Campus using the MMS(Mobile Mapping System) surveying results given by the National Geographic Information Institute. In future research, the built-in precise road map service will be installed in the autonomous vehicles and control systems to verify the real-time locations and its location correction algorithm.

A Study on the Application of Green LiDAR Using Automatic River Water Quality Data (하천 수질자동측정 자료를 활용한 Green LiDAR 적용성 검토)

  • 하천기본계획 수립이나 생태하천 조성사업 등 다양한 하천사업에서 하천측량은 대상 하천의 지형 현황과 과거 사업이후의 변화량을 확인할 수 있는 중요한 요소이다. 국내 측량 기준인 공공측량작업규정(국토지리정보원)에서 하천 측량은 육지부에서는 횡단측량을 수부에서는 수심측량을 실시하고 수심측량은 음향측심기 사용을 원칙으로 한다. 국내 대부분의 수심측량은 단빔 음향측심기를 사용하고 있는 실정이며 일부 수심 확보 구간 또는 연구목적으로 멀티빔 음향측심기를 적용한 사례가 일부 보고된 바가 있다. 최근 수심측정이 가능한 항공수심측량(Airbone LiDAR Bathymetry) 장비 중 핵심계측기기인 Green LiDAR 센서 국산화 및 경량화에 관한 연구가 진행중이다. 이에 본 연구는 국내 하천 여건에서 개발 센서가 어느 정도의 활용성을 확보할 수 있는지를 검토하였다. 우선 환경부가 운영중인 수질자동측정망 71개 지점의 정기측정성과 중 탁도에 관한 일자료를 확보가 가능한 45개 지점을 대상으로 G-LiDAR 센서의 SD(Secchi Depth)를 기준으로 가용계측일을 산정해 보았다. 분석기간은 '12. 7.부터 '19.12.까지이며 분석기간중 SD 1.5m(1.94 NTU 추정) 기준을 만족하는 기간은 한강 2.07년, 낙동강 0.64년, 금강 2.21년, 영산강 2.71년으로 나타났다. 또한 지점별 가용기간 분석결과 분석기간인 7.33년 동안 탁도 기준이하인 운영 가능 기간은 연중 평균 80여일(2.74개월)로 나타나 제한적이나마 활용이 가능할 것으로 확인되었다. 향후 현장조사를 통해 공공측량 성과와 대상수계의 탁도 실측자료와의 연계분석을 통해 정확한 활용성 검토를 수행할 예정이다. 향후 적용 센서의 개발 성능목표를 달성한다면 하천내의 다양한 분야에서 활용이 가능할 것으로 기대된다.

  • Aerospace and geospatial technologies have become more accessible by researchers and agricultural practitioners, and these technologies can play a pivotal role in transforming current pest management practices in agriculture and forestry. During the past 20 years, technologies including satellites, manned and unmanned aircraft, spectral sensors, information systems, and autonomous field equipment, have been used to detect pests and apply control measures site-specifically. Despite the availability of aerospace and geospatial technologies, along with big-data-driven artificial intelligence, applications of such technologies to apple IPM have not been realized yet. Using a case study conducted at the Korea Apple Research Institute, this article discusses the advances and limitations of current aerospace and geospatial technologies that can be used for improving apple IPM.

Improving Precision of the Exterior Orientation and the Pixel Position of a Multispectral Camera onboard a Drone through the Simultaneous Utilization of a High Resolution Camera (고해상도 카메라와의 동시 운영을 통한 드론 다분광카메라의 외부표정 및 영상 위치 정밀도 개선 연구)

  • Recently, multispectral cameras are being actively utilized in various application fields such as agriculture, forest management, coastal environment monitoring, and so on, particularly onboard UAV's. Resultant multispectral images are typically georeferenced primarily based on the onboard GPS (Global Positioning System) and IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit)or accurate positional information of the pixels, or could be integrated with ground control points that are directly measured on the ground. However, due to the high cost of establishing GCP's prior to the georeferencing or for inaccessible areas, it is often required to derive the positions without such reference information. This study aims to provide a means to improve the georeferencing performance of a multispectral camera images without involving such ground reference points, but instead with the simultaneously onboard high resolution RGB camera. The exterior orientation parameters of the drone camera are first estimated through the bundle adjustment, and compared with the reference values derived with the GCP's. The results showed that the incorporation of the images from a high resolution RGB camera greatly improved both the exterior orientation estimation and the georeferencing of the multispectral camera. Additionally, an evaluation performed on the direction estimation from a ground point to the sensor showed that inclusion of RGB images can reduce the angle errors more by one order.

Compatibility of MODIS Vegetation Indices and Their Sensitivity to Sensor Geometry (MODIS 식생지수에 미치는 센서 geometry의 영향과 센서 간 자료 호환성 검토)

  • Data composite methods have been typically applied to satellite-based vegetation index(VI) data to continuously acquire vegetation greenness over the land surface. Data composites are useful for construction of long-term archives of vegetation indices by minimizing missing data or contamination from noise. In addition, if multi-sensor vegetation indices that are acquired during the same composite periods are used interchangeably, data stability and continuity may be significantly enhanced. This study evaluated the influences of sensor geometry on MODIS vegetation indices and investigated data compatibility of two difference vegetation indices, the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index(NDVI) and the Enhanced Vegetation Index(EVI), for potential improvement of long-term data construction. Relationships between NDVI and EVI turned out statistically significant with variations among vegetation covers. Due to their curvilinear relationships, NDVI became saturated and leveled off as EVI reached high ranges. Correlation coefficients between Terra- and Aqua-based vegetation indices ranged from 0.747 to 0.963 for EVI, and from 0.641 to 0.880 for NDVI, showing better compatibility for EVI compared to NDVI. In-depth analyses of VI outliers that deviated from regression equations constructed from the two different sensors remain as a future study to improve their compatibility.

Annual Variation on Observation and Activity Pattern of Korean Chipmunk (Tamias sibiricus) in the Seoraksan and Jirisan National Parks, South Korea (설악산과 지리산 국립공원에 서식하는 다람쥐의 연중 관찰 양상과 행동 패턴)

  • This study was conducted to identify annual variation of observation and activity pattern of Korean chipmunk (Tamias sibiricus) using camera traps in the Seoraksan and Jirisan National Parks, South Korea from May 2019 to May 2021. The annual variation was identified based on the observed frequency through weekly observations. Daily activity patterns of the species were also analyzed by season. The daily activity pattern of chipmunk appeared to be constantly diurnal across the years regardless of habitat or season. The Korean chipmunks living in the two different regions were observed in different time periods throughout the year. While the chipmunks inhabiting the Seoraksan were observed from 18th to 45th week, the chipmunks inhabiting the Jirisan National Park were observed from 7th to 48th week. This may be influenced by the hibernation period of chipmunks in the two different regions. In both regions, chipmunks were most frequently observed in autumn. It is considered that seasonal variation on population dynamic and activity patterns of chipmunks were reflected in the observation frequency. Although the observation frequency of camera trap is an indirect indicator and thus having a limitation that it cannot distinguish the population density and amount of activity for the target species, camera trapping is still an effective survey technique for monitoring mammals due to its high accessibility and easy use.

Skyline Query Processing Method based on Data Centric Storage (데이터 중심 저장구조에 기반한 스카이라인 질의 처리 기법)

  • Data centric storages for sensor networks have been proposed to efficiently process multi-dimensional range queries as well as exact matches. Usually, a sensor network does not process only one type of the query but supports various types of queries such as range queries, exact matches and skyline queries. Therefore, a sensor network based on a data centric storage for range queries and exact matches should process skyline queries efficiently. However, existing algorithms for skyline queries have not considered the features of data centric storages. Some of the data centric storages store similar data in sensor nodes that are placed on geographically similar locations. Consequently, all data are ordered in a sensor network. In this paper, we propose a new skyline query processing algorithm that exploits the above features of data centric storages.
