Design and Fabrication of wideband low-noise amplification stage for COMINT (통신정보용 광대역 저잡음 증폭단 설계 및 구현)

  • In this paper, wideband two-stage amplification stage was designed, fabricated and evaluated. The proposed amplification stage with a novel gain control method have a high gain, low noise and high linearity performance. It is consisted of common emitter amplifier as the first stage, cascode gain control amplifier as second stage and power detector which sense the received signal strength. The proposed amplification stage shows a total gain of 29 dB~37 dB, noise fiugre of 1.5 dB at operating band and high linearity performance as the IMD (third intermodulation distortion) level is below the noise level of the measurement equipment at the control voltage 2.0 V generated from power detector under the strong electric field condition.

  • 본 논문에서는 muller법과 regular falsi법에 의한 CMOS 반전 증폭 회로를 해석하는 방법을 제안한다. Muller법과 regular falsi법을 이용하여 회로의 절점전압과 branch 전류를 예측하였고 회로의 출력 절점에서 KCL을 만족하도록 하였다. CMOS 반전 증폭 회로의 모의실험을 수행한 결과 MEDICI에 사용된 결합법에 비해 전압특성과 전류특성은 각각 5%와 5.4%의 최대상대오차를 보였다.

  • 광섬유 증폭기술은 광통신에 있어서 직접 광/광증폭 방식으로 기존의 복잡한 광통신 중계기를 간단히 대체할 수 있는 혁신적인 기술이다. 광섬유 증폭기술과 그 시스팀이 응용기술의 지난 수 년간의 급속한 발전은 지난 1970년대 세계적으로 뜨거웠던 광섬유 기술개발 경쟁을 연상케한다. 이 기술이 지니고 있는 단순성과 함께 놀라운 특성들은 완전 고아통신을 향한 중요한 돌파구를 마련하였으며, 미래의 통신시스팀에 많은 가능성을 제시하고 있다. 본 고에서는 광섬유 증폭기술을 중심으로 광증폭 기술에 관하여 해설하고, 장거리 전송 시스팀, 광가입자 시스팀 등 각종 통신 시스팀에의 응용연구 현황과 이로 인하여 활성화되고 있는 솔리톤 전송 등 첨단기술의 연구동향을 소개한다.

Three-staged amplifier properties of single-short pulsed distributed feedback dye laser using a XeCl laser (XeCl 레이저를 이용한 단일 단펄스 분포궤한 색소레이저의 3단 증폭기 특성)

  • The amplifier properties of single distributed feedback dye laser with 106 ps pulse width and 616 nm wavelength were invested using only one XeCl-excimer laser as pump source. For optimized amplification of DFDL, the three-stage amplifiers were arranged with increasing cross-section and accordingly increasing pump energies. The first AmpI, II stages were dye cell of 5 mm, 10 mm and contained a $6{\times}10^{-4}$ [mol/l](solvent : Methanol) of Rhodamine 610. Double-pass amplification in the AmPII was measured to suppress the ASE by using a diffraction grating. The beam intensity of AmpI, II was saturated with a gain of respectively 10 and 48. The last AmpIII was Bethune cell of 30 mm and contained a $3{\times}10^ {-4}$ [mol/l] (solvent : Ethanol) of Rhodamine 610. In the single-pass and double-pass amplification, the output energy was obtained 168.2 $\mu$J and 471$\mu$J respectively.

  • We have developed the ATE(Automatic Test Equipment) system for the performance test of pre-amplifier of thermal imaging devices. The device regenerates the electronic signals of photon detection module which is normally in weak energy, for the image signals processing. Previous ATE system was primarily and actively developed in the field of semiconductor devices quality parts inspection. Recently, it has been studied in the field of performance testing of equipment. In the field of thermal performance test equipment, however, it lacks the study of ATE compared to other areas, which causes the maintenance related to the core of military thermal imaging system maintenance to be limited. In this paper, a new study of ATE in the field of thermal imaging system is done. It is designed to be used universally for the ATE system with different types of circuit card of thermal imaging system by adopting matrix relays. Using the developed ATE measuring the pre-amplifier amplitude, an average amplified amplitude of 2.71Vpp was measured which confirms that it is within the range of theoretical analysis and also verifies the good performance of the developed ATE.

A Numerical Analysis for Optimum Design of Multi-Stage Amplifier System of High Power Dye Laser (고출력 색소 레이저의 다단 증폭 시스템의 최적설계에 관한 수치해석)

  • We have investigated the output characteristics and optimal conditions of a multi-stage amplifier system of Rhodamine 6G dye laser. The parameters in this simulation work were the beam diameter of the dye laser oscillator, the size of dye cell, the dye concentration, the number of stages in the amplifier system, and the pumping energy ratio of each amplifier at given pump energy. As a result, the output energy 10 mJ and the conversion efficiency of 40% in the two stage amplifier system were obtained with the pumping energy of 25mJ and the oscillator energy of 0.01 mJ.

  • In this paper, we used class D amplification circuit to improve the decline of error rate caused by low impedance in the Power Line Communication. We manufactured voltage drive circuit and current drive circuit that are driven circuit of power line modem on the present and made a comparison experiment with drivel circuit that uses class D amplifier proposed in this paper. As a result of Experiment, We showed that it has great superiority over other existing drive circuits at rapid impedance change in power line channel.

  • MEMS 각속도계에서 일정한 크기와 주파수를 가지는 진동을 주기 위한 공진기 회로는 각속도계의 성능에 가장 큰 영향을 미친다. 특히 공진기 회로에서 기계구조물의 미세한 진동에 의해 발생되는 수 pico-coulomb의 전하를 증폭하는 전하증폭기와 feedback된 신호를 안정된 크기로 만들어 주는 AGC(Automatic Gain Control) 회로의 정밀도가 MEMS 각속도계의 정밀도를 결정짓는다. 본 논문에서는 전하증폭기의 실제적인 회로의 등가 회로 출력 공식을 실험을 통하여 확인하였고, 입력 신호의 주파수가 MEMS 각속도계의 설계 공진 주파수인 30kHz일 때 0.15 pC 단위까지 측정 가능함을 확인하였다. AGC회로의 경우 simulation을 통하여 동작을 확인하였고, 실제 AGC 회로를 제작하여 실험한 결과, 오실로스코프로 확인하기 어려울 정도로 안정된 출력을 얻었다.

  • As most of the powerline modems use spread spectrum modulation method which has strong immunity against the narrowband fading, or psk modulation method, the amplitude of the signal contains no useful informations. In this paper, we used class D amplifier to implement the drive circuit of the analog front end, and showed that it has great superiority over other existing drive circuits in rapidly impedance changing powerline channel.

  • In this paper, we study a method that amplifies the output gain of a high voltage pulse using 300 kHz or higher frequency. We conducted a study on a method for amplifying the output gain using the resonance between the capacitance components of the load and the parasitic components of the circuit, instead of the conservative method for amplifying the pulse-amplitude by raising the voltage of the power stage. In particular, the method simplifies the circuit configuration throughout the appliance of flyback-type topology instead of the bridge-type. There are advantages that prevent damage from overload and the heat in the output circuit through the hard switching by amplifying the gain of the output voltage applying to the load as given by the capacitance component of the output electrode to the output pulse waveform. This study proposed a method to enhance the spatial and electrical efficiency of the contact-type heating device through the dielectric heating method applied to the field of medical and industrial heating.
