The propose of this study was to investigate the factors affecting job satisfaction in Speech-Language Pathologists and to identify the relationships among job satisfaction self-efficiency and job stress. The participant of this study were 145 Speech-Language Pathologists. The results of present study are as follows. The mean score for job satisfaction was 3.62. job satisfaction was found to have a positive correlation with self-efficiency, and a negative correlation with job stress. The influencing factors impacting on job satisfaction were self-efficiency and job stress. This factors explained that job satisfaction was 46.8% of the variance. Conclusion: This study is expected be useful to find ways to improve subjects' job satisfaction by increasing their self-efficiency, decreasing their job stress and developing intervention programs as basic data.
The research purpose outlined emphasizes the growing need for systematic and professional disaster education for nurses and nursing students, driven by the increasing occurrence of natural and large-scale social disasters. The study, a systematic literature review, analyzed the effects of educational interventions in disaster education targeting this demographic. The research method involved a literature search in major Korean databases using keywords related to disaster, education programs, and simulations. The findings highlighted that most programs utilized a combination of theoretical lectures, simulations, and debriefing methods, with intervention times ranging from less than 2 hours to between 40 and 56 hours. The primary outcomes measured were disaster nursing preparedness and performance abilities, with the programs showing positive effects on variables such as disaster nursing readiness, performance ability, attitude, knowledge, awareness, learning self-efficacy, practice satisfaction, and confidence in disaster nursing. The study suggests the importance of designing programs that offer participants realistic learning experiences through diverse intervention times and methods and emphasizes the need to verify the effectiveness of these programs.
Purpose: This study was done to identify the effects of the Positive Peer Relationship Training Program on self-esteem, bullying, and depression. Methods: The research design was a quasi-experimental research with a nonequivalent control group non-synchronized pre-posttest. The recruited participants were forty-four 6th graders at an elementary school in G city. The research was carried out from September 10 to November 19, 2012. To test the effects of the Positive Peer Relationship Training Program, the participants were divided into two groups, an experimental group (23) and a control group (21). The Positive Peer Relationship Training Program was provided to the experiment group for 45 minutes/session twice a week, for 4 weeks. Data were analyzed using Fisher's exact probability test, $x^2$-test and t-test with the SPSS/WIN 18.0 program. Results: After attending the Positive Peer Relationship Training Program, no significant differences were found in self-esteem scores but significant differences were found in bullying and depression scores between the experimental group and the control group (t=1.27, p=.212, t=-2.10, p=.042; t=-2.37, p=.023). Conclusion: The results indicate that the Positive Peer Relationship Training Program is an effective nursing intervention for decreasing bullying and depression among Children in Early Adolescence.
The purpose of the present study was to develop a community-based intensive health care program for the community dwelling elderly to strength their functional status and to verify the effect on their geriatric syndrome. A one-group pretest-posttest design was used for the study. A total of 69 frail elderly, who lived in the area within 20 minutes by car, were committed themselves to the day care center(Sangikjae), and had the ability of verbal communication were selected from G city in Kyunggi province. The participants completed a set of questionnaires to measure the sub-score of frailty, fall, urinary incontinence, malnutrition, and mild cognitive disorder domain, using the Otasha-Kensin through the physical examinations and interviews. After 4 weeks of intervention, the outcome was measured to evaluate the effects of the program, and the data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistics, paired t-test and McNemar test. The results showed that the sub-score of frailty, fall, urinary incontinence, and malnutrition domain were statistically significantly decreased after intervention except those of urinary incontinence and mild cognitive disorder domain, implying that the risk of frailty, fall, and malnutrition was decreased. These findings indicated that community-based the intensive health care program is effective for relieving geriatric syndrome of the community dwelling elderly.
The purpose of this research paper is to develop Mobile application-based Nursing Process Programs on 'Nursing Diagnosis', 'Nursing Interventions' and 'Nursing Outcomes Classification' targeting nurses and nurse students. To achieve it, this paper uses 'standard classification-focused research data' on the basis of Nursing Diagnosis Classification established by NANDA (North American Nursing Diagnosis Association), NIC (Nursing Interventions Classification) and NOC (Nursing Outcomes Classification) mainly developed by Iowa State University. The existing research methods are difficult to be applied to patients, since such methods put a restriction on choosing, developing, and generalizing 'Nursing Process Programs' in clinical spheres. But, this research thesis focuses on developing guidelines applicable to any clinical experiences, with the use of the framework in mutual links with all the nursing diagnosisoutcomes- interventions. In this regard, the Korean version programs were developed and registered in App store in March. Thus, it is expected that these programs would be wildly-available as tools for nursing education.
This study conducted a network meta-analysis to compare the effectiveness and ranking of pressure ulcer preventive programs in intensive care units. A frequency network meta-analysis was performed to identify evidence from relevant randomized control trials. A total of 10 randomized control trials involving 5 intervention subgroups were included in this study. Based on the ranking probabilities(P-Score), preventive materials was ranked as the most effective among all programs (P-Score 85.3.%: OR=0.12, 95% CI: 0.03, 0.49). Next was silicone foam dressing(P-Score 84.5%: OR=0.14, 95% CI: 0.05, 0.38), care bundle(P-Score 60.0%: OR=0.29, 95% CI: 0.07, 1.25), reposition (P-Score 32.3%: OR=0.66, 95% CI: 0.21, 2.09) and synthetic fabrics (P-Score 23.8%: OR=0.85, 95% CI: 0.20, 3.65). It is necessary to develop practical and efficient interventions that can prevent pressure ulcers in intensive care unit patients, improve patient safety, and reduce nurses' workload.
The main purpose of this study was to determine the efficacy of a group psychomotor training for the visual and auditory attention in children with ADHD. We examined some of the important factors of visual and auditory attention deficits, the Omission Error and False Alarm Error using Kiphard's 6-step program for children with ADHD. The result suggests that a significant decrease in factors involved in visual attention deficits was influenced by the degree of group interaction and the time of examination. However, factors involved in auditory attention deficits were not significantly affected. Our research on the effects of psychomotor program based on the convergent intervention approach suggests that future studies investigate different paradigms of intervention methods for children with ADHD.

Objective : The purpose of this study is to confirm the basis for the effectiveness of sleep intervention for dementia progression. Method : PsycINFO, CINAHL, MEDLINE, PubMed, Science Direct, PEDro, Cochrane library was used to search for published papers from 2000 to 2017 using dementia, sleep, and randomized controlled trials (RCTs). Based on the results, author analyzed the papers that met the selection criteria. Result : Finally, five papers were selected. Among them, there were four papers showing that the effectiveness of the sleep intervention was not proven to be one. Conclusion : The results of this study can provide a basis for the sleep intervention effect of dementia patients. A program to actively intervene to prevent patients' behavior control and disease progression through solving sleep problems of dementia patients is needed.
The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of We Start home visiting intervention program on the positive changes of infants and their low-income families. The subjects were 171 18~36-month olds and their mothers living in We Start and non We Start areas. The instruments used were Developmental Profile, Cleminshaw-Guidubaldi Parent Satisfaction Scale(CGPSS) and Home Observation for Measurement of the Environment(HOME). The results were as follows: First, the result of Developmental Profile showed positive changes in all domains(physical development, self-help skills, social development, cognitive development, and communication ability). Second, the result of CGPSS showed positive effects on parent-child relationships. Third, the result of HOME showed positive effects on mothers' emotional and language responses. In conclusion, We Start home visiting program for infants from low-income families is an effective early intervention program to end intergenerational transition of poverty in Korea.
The purpose of this study was to classify the results of previous studies on the cognitive function improvement program of the elderly into the cognitive impairment group and the normal group to compare the effect sizes of the groups using meta - analysis. Among the previous studies on cognitive function improvement programs reported in Korea for the last five years, 86 were selected and the effect sizes were summarized using meta-analysis. As a result of the study, the overall average effect size showed a large effect size in both groups. The effect sizes of the intervention types were high for the cognitive impairment group, and the exercise and cognitive-based interventions were similar for the normal group. The gender effect size was higher for the women with cognitive impairment group, and higher for the combined case with normal group. The effect sizes according to group size were higher for 20 persons in cognitive impairment group and higher for 21~40 persons in normal group. The total number of sessions in both groups was higher than 32 times, The number of sessions per week was 3 times for the cognitive impairment group, 4 to 6 times for the normal group. The duration of activity was 55~60 minutes in cognitive impairment group and 70~180 minutes in normal group as the number of sessions and activity time increased the effect size was higher in normal group. This study will be meaningful in that it provided basic data necessary for future program development by comparing and analyzing the effect sizes of the cognitive function improvement program type and the activity factors between the cognitive impairment group and the normal group.
