A Robust Recovery Method of Reference Clock against Random Delay Jitter for Satellite Multimedia System (위성 멀티미디어 시스템을 위한 랜덤 지연지터에 강인한 기준 클럭 복원)

  • This paper presents an accurate recovery method of the reference clock which is needed for network synchronization in two-way satellite multimedia systems compliant with DVB-RCS specification and which use closed loop method for burst synchronization. In these systems, the remote station transmits TDMA burst via return link. For burst synchronization, it obtains reference clock from program clock reference (PCR) defined by MPEG-2 system specification. The PCR is generated periodically at the hub system by sampling system clock which runs at 27MHz $\pm$ 30ppm. Since the reference clock is recovered by means of digital PLL(DPLL) using imprecise PCR values due to variable random jitter, the recovered clock frequency of remote station doesn't exactly match reference clock of hub station. We propose a robust recovery method of reference clock against random delay jitter The simulation results show that the recovery error is remarkably decreased from 5 clocks to 1 clock of 27MHz relative to the general DPLL recovery method.

Clinical Evaluation between the Optical Center of Spectacles and Pupillary Center (안경광학중심과 동공중심의 일치에 관한 임상적 고찰)

  • This study was performed to survey the correspondence between the optical centers and pupillary centers in 224 eyes. The results were as follows: 1. The eye types were 136 eyes(60.7%) for myopic, 85 eyes(37.9%) for astigmatism, 3 eyes(1.4%) for hyperopic. 2. The horzontal prismatic effects of the 35 eyes (in ${\pm}0.25$ < $$D{\leq_-}{\pm}1.00$$) underpassed the aberration of tolerence of opthalmic dispensing in 34 eyes(97.1%). 3. The horzontal prismatic effects of the 167 eyes (in ${\pm}1.00$ < $$D{\leq_-}{\pm}6.00$$) underpassed the aberration of tolerence of opthalmic dispensing in 136 eyes(81.4%). 4. The horzontal prismatic effects of the 22 eyes (in ${\pm}6.00$ < $$D{\leq_-}{\pm}12.00$$) underpassed the aberration of tolerence of opthalmic dispensing in 12 eyes(54.5%).

  • The combined bundle block adjustment with projection center coordinates determined by kinematic DGPS-positioning has reached a high level of accuracy. Standard deviations of the ground coordinates of $\pm{10cm}$ or even better can be reached. On this accuracy level also smaller error components are becoming more important. One major point of this is the interpolation of the projection centers as a function of time between the GPS-antenna locations. A just linear interpolation is not respecting the not linear movement of the aircraft. Based on a least squares polynomial fitting the aircraft maneuver can be estimated more accurate and blunders of the GPS-positions caused by loss of satellite and cycle slips are determinable. The interpolation with a time interval of 3sec in the study area RHEINKAMP is quite different to the interpolation with a time interval of 6-7sec in the study area MAAS. The GPS-positions of the study area are identified as blunders based on a local polynomial regression. This cannot be neglected for precise block adjustment.

  • MRI 스캔시 화상평면내에서 촬상대상물체의 회전은 MRI 신호에 위상오차와 불균일 표본화를 일으킨다. MRI 신호의 위상오차와 불균일 표본화에 대한 문제의 모델은 화상평면내 임의 중심과 원점에 관한 회전운동에 의해 열화된 MRI 신호들사이에 위상차가 존재함을 나타낸다. 이에 아티팩트가 포함된 MR 화상의 화질을 개선하기위해서 다음과 같은 방법을 제안한다. 우선, 2차원 회전운동의 회전각은 이미 알려져 있고, 회전중심의 위치가 미지인 경우에 대해 위상보정에 기초한 아티팩트를 보정하는 알고리즘과, 다음으로, 회전중심과 각도가 모두 미지인 2차원 회전운동에 대해 아티팩트를 보정하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 이때, 미지 운동 파라메타를 예측하기위해 촬상대상물체의 경계바깥쪽에서 이상적인 MR 화상의 에너지는 최소가 되고, 촬상대상물체의 회전이 존재할 때 측정된 에너지는 증가한다는 성질을 이용한다. 이러한 성질을 이용해서 각 위상부호화 단계에서 미지의 회전각 크기를 추정하기위한 평가함수가 도입된다. 최종적으로 시뮬레이션 화상 및 실제화상에 적용해서 제안한 본 방법의 유효성을 확인한다.

  • A star sensor daytime observation model is developed in order to test the performance of the star sensor useful for daylight application. The centroid errors of the star sensor in the day time application are computed by using the model. The standard atmospheric model (LOWTRAN7) is utilized to calculate the physical quantities of the daylight atmospheric environments where the star sensor is immersed. This observation model takes the separation angles between the sun and star, the centroid algorithm and the various system specifications of the star sensor into the account. The developed star sensor model will provide more realistic measurement errors in estimating the performance of the attitude determination from the vector observations.

Study on Mounting Status of Trial Case Lenses (검안렌즈의 장착상태에 대한 연구)

  • Purpose: In this study, the mounting status of trial case lens was investigated. Methods: We measured distances between geometric center of lens mount and optical center of lens and angle deviations between axis mark on lens and real axis using arbitrary trial case lens sets distributed in Korea, and then, compared those results with international standards. Results: In some of lenses, the prismatic power on geometric center of lens mount and the angle deviations between axis mark and real axis of cylindrical lens were out of tolerance according international standards. Conclusions: The more precise control of the manufacturing process and more thorough quality control for trial case lenses will be required to offer an accurate vision test.

  • 점광원 가정법은 광학계의 초점거리를 LED die 표면의 중심점으로 설정하고 LED 패키지의 발산형태는 이상적인 점광원으로 가정하여 설계하는 방법이며, 가초점 설계법은 focal smear라고 불리우는 초점영역의 가초점을 기준점으로 잡아 설계를 시행하는 방법이다. 실제 LED에서 빛이 발산하는 부분은 점광원이 아닌 부피를 가지고 있는 형태이기 때문에 점이외의 면에서 발생하는 오차와 가초점 영역 설정을 통한 설계는 결과에 오차를 발생시키게 된다. 따라서 구조 분석 실험 장비를 이용한 LED내부 구조를 분석한 후 이를 시뮬레이션 설계에 적용한 결과 기존 설계법에 비해 약 5%의 오차범위를 줄일 수 있었다.

  • Stress variation due to size variation and the eccentricity of ring type tensile specimen was analyzed by FLAC program. To get the stable tensile strength the ratio of inner to outer ring diameter should be within a certain range. Diameter ratio of 0.3 was suggested to be adequate. It seemed to be difficult to determine the tensile strength because of stress distortion if eccentricity exceeded home limit. To limit the error in 10%, lateral and axial eccentricity was analyzed to be in the limits of 3% and 10%, respectively.

  • The suitability of high-order accurate, centered and upwind-biased compact difference schemes for large eddy simulation is evaluated by a dynamic analysis. Large eddy simulation of isotropic turbulence is performed with various dissipative and non-dissipative schemes to investigate the effect of numerical dissipation on the resolved solutions. It is shown by the present dynamic analysis that upwind schemes reduce the aliasing error and increase the finite differencing error. The existence of optimal upwind scheme that minimizes total numerical error is verified. It is also shown that the finite differencing error from numerical dissipation is the leading source of numerical errors by upwind schemes. Simulations of a turbulent channel flow are conducted to show the existence of the optimal upwind scheme.
