A survey was conducted from December, 2013, to February, 2014. To assess their vocational competency and professionalism by general characteristics, one-way ANOVA and t-test were utilized, and the level of significance was set at p<0.05. To determine what elements of vocational competency affected their professionalism, multiple regression analysis was made, and standardized regression coefficients were calculated to represent the influence of the elements. As a result, it's found that the professionalism of the dental hygienists were under the influence of their self-development skills, organizational understanding and mathematical ability. To foster self-development skills, discussion method should be utilized, and team teaching should be used to improve organizational understanding. • Subjects consisting of 335 middle school students were analyzed using arousal seeking tendency scales to determine the effect on student's scores on scales for physical education intrinsic motivation and physical education attitude. The data were subjected to frequency analysis, correlation analysis, reliability analysis, exploratory factor analysis, and multiple regression analysis as statistical methods. The results were as follows. In the subscales of arousal seeking tendency, novelty seeking positively influenced interest, efforts, and competence. In the subscales of arousal seeking tendency, novelty seeking positively influenced physical education attitude, but thrill seeking negatively influenced health and fitness only. In the subscales of physical education intrinsic motivation, interest and efforts positively influenced physical education attitude, while both competence and tension partly influenced it. These findings indicate that improving both attitude and intrinsic motivation of middle school students toward physical education would require a method of teaching and learning that encourages students′ novelty seeking in the subscales of arousal seeking tendency.

The researcher analyzed responses on the TPACK scale of 307 students in A University located in Chungcheongbuk-do. During the statistical analysis, IBM SPSS 21 program was used to implement Independent Samples T-test, One-way Analysis of Variance, and Multiple Regression Analysis (Enter method). The results are as follows. First, for the mean difference by gender, the mean of female students was higher than that of male students in Pedagogical Knowledge, Pedagogical Content Knowledge, Technological Pedagogical Knowledge, and Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge. Second, for the mean difference by grade level, the mean of the 1st, 3rd and 4th graders was higher than that of the 2nd graders in the Content Knowledge at a statistically significant level. Third, toward Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge, Pedagogical Knowledge of .11 beta value, Pedagogical Content Knowledge of .11 beta value, and Technological Pedagogical Knowledge of .715 beta value were found to be statistically significant predictors. • The purpose of this study was to investigate middle school student's self-directed learning(SDL) using a hierarchical linear modeling. By considering variances of SDL at individual and school level, the student's SDL was explained in terms of school quality as well as individual efforts. For the HLM analysis, participation in private tutoring, teacher's support for SDL, caring students' individual needs, and participation in extra curriculum activities were explored at individual level. At school level, school SES, quality of national curriculum implementation, and parental support for school were utilized. The results of analysis showed that more than 95% of variance of SDL was explained by variables at individual level. Among the variables at individual level, private tutoring was not a significant variable explaining the SDL. Based upon the results, multiple regression analyses by background variables were also conducted. By interpreting the results of analyses, the impact of school quality and individual efforts on the SDL was discussed.

  • The purpose of this study is to derive an optimal regression model for occurrences of major crimes on a security company's stock price through identifying precedence of the occurrences of major crimes on the security company's stock price, relationship between the occurrences of major crimes and the security company's stock price. Followings are the results of this study. First, the occurrences of murder crime, robbery crime, rape crime, theft crime move along the security company's monthly stock price simultaneously, and the occurrence of violence crime precedes 6 months to the security company's monthly stock price depending on the results of cross-correlation analysis of precedence of occurrences of major crimes, such as murder crime, robbery crime, rape crime, theft crime, violence crime on the security company's monthly stock price. Second, the explanation of the occurrences of robbery crime, rape crime, theft crime on the security company's monthly stock price is 61.7%($R^2$ = .617) excluding murder crime, violence crime depending on the results of multiple regression analysis(stepwise method) by putting the occurrences of major crimes, such as murder crime, robbery crime, rape crime, theft crime, violence crime into the security company's monthly stock price.
