This study examined the composition and spatial characteristics of the Illinois Institute of Technology (1939-1959) campus by Mies van der Rohe. Studies of the Mies' architecture has been focused mostly on "universal space", structural rationality for a single building. Therefore, it is interesting to study an IIT campus through which Mies composed public space dealing with several buildings together. To determine the relationships with his previous works and the design intentions for IIT campus, this paper studied his preliminary sketches, perspective drawings etc.. By doing so, the paper presents the following conclusions. First, Mies composed the IIT campus with simple linear buildings as walls to create the "flowing space" through the campus. Secondly, the IIT campus could become the "neutral frame" integrating the campus with urban space. Third, Mies also created an open, continuous public space in the center of the campus that allows protective, quiet seclusion for the students.

Cifu(辭賦) is a style that has been pointed out to many people because of Shin Heum Family's literary skills. I focused on this point and outlined Shin Heum Family's Cifu, and searched the literary through the works in which Guiqulai(歸去來) consciousness appeared. Shin Heum and his family members wrote many Cifu works, which were mainly in the form of Gufu(古賦). And many of them revealed personal emotions, such as melancholy. Especially they formed Guiqulai consciousness by taking personal suffering as their nourishments, and it was expressed in Cifu. The feature of Shin Heum Family's Cifu works is that the shape of Guiqulai consciousness is remarkable. There was a political ordeals on the base of such a consciousness. It was literally shaped through various methods.

There is a growing interest in the entrepreneurial activity that has long been considered essential for sustainable economic development and value creating. Although it is strongly encouraged by focusing on the positive aspects of venturing, less has been paid attention to entrepreneurial failure, which is the biggest cause of hesitation in starting a business. The uncertain and risky nature of entrepreneurship implies a considerable possibility of failure. Even if it fails, the experience and knowledge of entrepreneurs acquired through entrepreneurship indeed offers valuable lessons for the re-venturing, which can serve as an important social asset that should not be lost. It has been argued that re-entering the same industry for the subsequent venture maximizes the learning effect through utilizing potential benefits from industry-specific knowledge. Although the re-startup after entrepreneurial failure is a very important topic in the studies on serial entrepreneurs, there is a paucity of systematic empirical investigation. This study responds to calls for more research on the re-startup after entrepreneurial failure, and specifically complements existing studies on serial entrepreneurs. Focusing on the entrepreneurs' attribution for the failure, we conducted an empirical analysis of how this affects the re-startup process. Moreover, we also examined the moderating effects of entrepreneurial self-efficacy and resilience. For the analyses, we surveyed the entrepreneurs who tried to re-start the subsequent business after the entrepreneurial failure through the "Revitalization Center for Strained Entrepreneur". The results found that failed entrepreneurs who blamed internal factors for their previous venture failures were likely to keep the same industry for their subsequent business. In addition, the positive effect of internal attribution on maintaining the same industry for the re-startup was found to be stronger when entrepreneurial self-efficacy and resilience were high.

The purpose of this study is to conduct an analysis for classification of unexecuted urban planning facilities using the Geographic Information System(GIS) to prepare measures for systematic and efficient management of unexecuted urban planning facilities and to find ways to establish national territory information for continuous management and operation by database of spatial data of classified unexecuted urban planning facilities. For this purpose, the present state of urban management plan, thematic map, cadastral map, satellite image of Korea Land Information System(KLIS) were collected from Miryang City, and qualitative analysis of the execution and non-execution of urban planning facilities was conducted by combining the layer of urban planning facilities, satellite images, and continuous cadastral layers of cadastral maps with classified and processed owner attribute information. According to the analysis, the unexecuted facilities were derived as unexecuted facilities, as most of the private land, without any current status roads or facilities created in satellite imagery. In addition, although the current status road was opened, the facilities that included some private land were derived as facilities that were recognized and executed by the local government as the de facto controlling entity through public transportation. The derived unexecuted urban planning facilities were divided into layers of shape data and the unexecuted property data were organized to quickly and accurately identify the status of non-executed and statistical information. In this study, we proposed an analysis plan that introduced GIS technology for scientific and rational analysis of unexecuted urban planning facilities and the establishment of reliable spatial data, and proposed a plan to establish a database for connection with existing systems and use of information.

Virtually unanimous praise poured over him notwithstanding, critical discussions of Yeon Sang-ho's animation works largely remain amorphous. Except for scattered reviews, no serious work of engagement with his works has yet to exist. In seeking to fill this yawning void, this paper insists his works be treated as oeuvre. By analyzing the two animated features along with his shorts, I will show how radical Yeon's works remain vis-a-vis contemporary Korean society. At their narrative core, his works, I argue, revolve around the problem of solidarity, or lack thereof among the abjected people. In contradistinction to the critical common sense whereby the supposed continuity between the two works is casually bypassed, I insist on the peculiar ways in which both resonate with difference. Further, and perhaps more importantly, I will demonstrate how these otherwise merely thematic concerns are rendered formally in his animated works in terms of what I call "abyssal surface". Despite his allegedly "realistic" style, Yeon's works rather embody the utter lack/excess of trust among the abjected people as animation, i.e., ominously superficial surface beyond whose facade lurks abyssal lack/excess of mutual trust. Precisely in this double sense of the term, i.e., that thematically they touch on the roots of society, and, formally, those of animation as such, Yeon's animation works are radical.

Animation are consist of consecutive various images, and there are figure and ground. The value of figure image as character in animation consider more significant than the background image, it can be detected many literature reviews on that subject. It, however, is also a critical element for completing animation, in reality, it is not found many academical achievements on this subject. The background images imply the information of environment and atmosphere, and elucidates where the story happen, therefore character move, talk and express themselves there. In terms of academic endeavour to extend the knowledge on animation, this paper is one of vital researches to be suggest on background image study. The main purpose of this study is to classify the background images in the ways of three categories such as painting concepts of concrete, semi-abstract, and abstract to camera concept of deep-focus, out-focus, and distortion. It is to instigate for the study of background images, in the practical view. And it will be utilizing the basic theories of cognitive psychology, painting and camera techniques, in the ways of It is analysed to frequency of use, reality, amount of information, perspective, and role of background image. This study is to provide a basic theory of visual classification on background image for practicing animations and researching on this subject.

It is important subject of research in engineering and natural science field that creating continuing high-definition image from very large volume data. The necessity of software that helps analyze useful information in data has improved by effectively showing visual image information of high resolution data with visualization technique. In this paper, we designed multi-platform visualization system based on client-server to analyze and express earth environment data effectively constructed with observation and prediction. The visualization server comprised of cluster transfers data to clients through parallel/distributed computing, and the client is developed to be operated in various platform and visualize data. In addition, we aim user-friendly program through multi-touch, sensor and have made realistic simulation image with image-based lighting technique.

1983년 말 중국 형주시 소재 강릉장가산 247호 묘에서 죽간의 형태로 출토된 ${\ulcorner}$산수소${\lrcorner}$ 는 그것이 엮어진 시점이 유휘의 ${\ulcorner}$구장산술${\lrcorner}$ 보아 최소한 450년 가량이나 거슬러 올라간다는 점에서 동야수학사의 기원을 크게 앞당기게 하는 막중한 의의를 지니는 문서가 아닐 수 없다. 그러나 석문 자체가 최근 들어와서야 겨우 공개되었을 뿐, 현재로서는 자료에 대한 평가와 내용 분석은 물론, 변역마저도 제대로 이루어지지 못한 상태에 있다. 이 글은 ${\ulcorner}$산수서${\lrcorner}$ 와 ${\ulcorner}$구장산술${\lrcorner}$ 의 내용을 배교하여 ${\ulcorner}$산수서${\lrcorner}$ 의 특징을 밝히는 동시에 동양수학의 초창기 발달의 궤적을 더듬어 보려는 시도이다. ${\ulcorner}$산수서${\lrcorner}$ 는 '상승(相乘)'에서 '이전(里田)'까지 이어지는 70개 제명(題名)하에 서술되어 있는데, 제명들은 주제를 나타내는 것과 산법을 나타내는 것을 혼재하는 것으로 나타난다. 내용 가운데에는 '여직(女織)', '우시(羽矢)', '소광(少廣)' 등이 문제처럼 ${\ulcorner}$구장산술${\lrcorner}$ 의 그것들과 기본적으로 같거나 유사한 것들이 다수 발견되어 고대수학 전통의 연속성을 엿볼 수 있게 하지만, 동시에 의료수가 문제인 '의(醫)'처럼 ${\ulcorner}$산수서${\lrcorner}$에서만 발견되는 것들도 더러 눈에 띈다. ${\ulcorner}$산수서${\lrcorner}$ 와 ${\ulcorner}$구장산술${\lrcorner}$ 사이에 이루어진 수학 발달은, 이를테면, 제급근 사이에 있어서 전자의 경우에는 $\sqrt{240}$을 $15\frac{15}{31}$로 계산한 데서도 드러나듯이 보간법에 의존한 반면, 후자의 경우에는 온답을 제시하는 데 하등의 어려움을 겪지 않았다는 차에서도 확인된다.

In this study, we presented a novel size optimization framework to control the linear buckling temperature and several buckling modes of plates, by optimizing thickness values of composite structures for practical engineering applications. Predicting the buckling temperature and mode shape of structures is a vital research topic in engineering to achieve structural stability. However, optimizing designs of engineering structures through engineering intuition is challenging. To address this limitation, we proposed a method that combines finite element simulation and size optimization. Based on the idea that the structural buckling temperature and mode shape of a plate are affected by the thickness of the structure, the thickness values of the nodes of the target structure were set as the design variables in this optimization method; and the buckling temperature values, and buckling mode shapes were set as the objective functions. This size optimization method enabled the determination of optimal thickness distributions, to induce the desired buckling temperature values and mode shapes. The validity of the proposed method was verified in terms of their buckling temperature values and buckling mode shapes, using several numerical examples of rectangular composite structures.

The film won the Golden Palm Award at the Cannes Film Festival, and received the Academy Award for a non-English-speaking film in February 2020, respectively. It has received a monumental evaluation in the world film history. Overall, this film is about class conflict, and critics evaluate the theme of the film as "badly twisted class gap" and "anger from class." The film expresses an intrinsic conflict embodied in culture as a "tragedy in which no bad person appears," rather than the dichotomous composition of the classical class struggle from Marxism. In other words, this can be seen as expressing the substrated class relationship of the modern society that Pierre Bourdieu had argued. This film has been focused as a controversial target under Korea society with excess of ideology. Politics used to adopt the keyword, 'parasite', for political disputes not only in culture contents world. Paradoxically socialism China did not allow to release film 'Parasite.' On the other hand, Lee O-Yong argues that the movie "Parasite" does not look at social phenomena through a dichotomous perspective, but is viewed through a "double perspective" and evaluates that it does not lose eyes looking at humans through tension. This view is based upon 'Vital Capitalism'. Lee. O-Yong looks at the movie "Parasite" from the perspective of "Vital Capitalism". The theory of Vital Capitalism does not seek to find the root of historical development in class struggle conflicts, but rather figuring out history and society pays attention onto the intrinsic characteristics of life, Topophilia, Neophilia, and Biophilia. Lee Eo-ryeong argues that the development of civilization theory evolved from the stage of Hobbes' Darwinism or predatism to the stage of host vs. parasite of Michel Serres, and onto the stage of Margulis's 'Win-Win (inter-dependence)'. In this paper, after overview of vital capital concept and preceeding research, re-interpretations were tried onto scenes based upon fields from habitus, culture capital. This exploration looks for a alternative for excess of ideology in Korea society.
