Development of Predicting Models of the Operating Speed and Operating environment Satisfaction Model in Expressways (고속도로의 주행속도예측 및 주행환경만족도 모형 개발에 관한 연구)

  • When most drivers take to the freeway, they don't necessarily pay attention to the geometric design. They expect proper design by depending on their own senses and recognition. When they evaluate the features of traveling on the freeway, they can think differently than engineers. The design needs to predict the exact speed of the driver to satisfy the driver's expectation, safety, pleasure and so on. This study categorized the factors influencing the speed of six freeways considering geometric and operational features to make a prediction model of speed. The model used multiple regression with these factors and produced statically appropriate results. This study utilized the principle component analysis and the quantification II analysis based on the image data of the satisfaction of the traveling environment collected through individual interviews. As a result, this study found the factors of satisfaction in a traveling environment. It made a satisfaction model of the traveling environment on freeways considering the change of driver's actual recognition and societal recognition using structural equations and the quantification II theory. Through the model made in this study, This model can present not only qualitative factors like satisfaction of traveling environment on freeways, but also the quantitative elements like speed. What is important is the evaluation of features of traveling on freeways reflected in the recognition and traffic environment felt by drivers.

Development and Validation of Tool for the Assessment of Employment Preparedness for People with Visual Impairments (시각장애인 고용준비도 검사지 개발 및 타당화 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop tool for the assessment of employment preparedness for people with visual impairments. First, we developed a draft assessment factors. Expert opinion survey, delphi survey, pilot test were conducted to modify contents of the factors. Actual assessments were carried out to test the reliability and validity of the developed tool targeting job seeker with visual disabilities. The total number of valid samples are 253. Principal component analysis, confirmatory factors analysis, and correlation analysis were used for the validity test. Chronbach' alpha analysis was used for the reliability test. As a result of the reliability analysis, the reliability coefficient showed good level of 0.88-0.92. As a result of the factor analysis, it was confirmed that the composition concept of 9 factors were well reflected. The correlation coefficient between employment preparedness tool and job screening tool was 0.501, Which was statistically significant. Therefore, it was evaluated as having a concurrent validity. Finally, it was confirmed that the assessment of employment preparedness for people with visual impairments was valid as assessment tool.

Comparison of Customer Satisfaction Indices Using Different Methods of Weight Calculation (가중치 산출방법에 따른 고객만족도지수의 비교)

  • This study compares Customer Satisfaction Index(CSI) and the weight for each dimension by applying various methods of weight calculation and attempts to suggest some implications. For the purpose, the study classified the methods of weight calculation into the subjective method and the statistical method. Constant sum scale was used for the subjective method, and the statistical method was again segmented into correlation analysis, principal component analysis, factor analysis, structural equation model. The findings showed that there is difference between the weights from the subjective method and the statistical method. The order of the weights by the analysis methods were classified with similar patterns. Besides, the weight for each dimension by different methods of weight calculation showed considerable deviation and revealed the difference of discrimination and stability among the dimensions. Lastly, the CSI calculated by various methods of weight calculation showed to be the highest in structural equation model, followed by in the order of regression analysis, correlation analysis, arithmetic mean, principal component analysis, constant sum scale and factor analysis. The CSI calculated by each method showed to have statistically significant difference.

A Study on the Method of Measuring and Valuation of Technology Level in Public Large-Scale R&D Program (국가 대형 R&D 기술수준 측정 및 평가 방법 연구)

  • In this study, new evaluation perspective and analysis methodology are suggested to assess the technological level of new product produced by national large R&D program and applied to case analysis of the superconducting cable technology. Logical Procedures for the assessment of the technological level include essential technology classification, analysis of evaluation factors, structure and content of assessment items, presentation method of the analysis result. Variable with technological properties are employed to analyze the relative competitiveness subjectively. The principal component analysis are applied to measure the relative competitiveness in terms of size and position. Finally the combined results of technology and right evaluation show that the technology level of DAPAS superconducting cables lies somewhere between 96.11% and 101.76% compared with a global leader in technology. The result provides sufficient evidences that it secures technological edges over other competitors. Therefore it can be called as a globally leading technology. New evaluation perspective and analysis methodology suggested can be applied usefully to assess the technology level of public large-scale R&D program.

  • This study analyzes the impacts of mixed-use development and transportation on housing values in Seoul, Korea. An index measuring the land use mix is proposed using three components of land uses, residence, office, and retail, which are the essential elements for everyday urban life. This index offers a relatively easy way in measuring the level of mixed-use and proves itself useful providing sensible and reliable results in this empirical study. Also surface and underground transportation accessibilities are measured. By covering both surface and underground, a comprehensive view of Seoul's transportation accessibility is provided. Finally, housing value models are constructed with developed variables, i.e. land use mix index and accessibility measures, as well as relevant socio-economic variables. The empirical outcomes verifies that mixed-use development and transportation accessibility positively affect housing values.

  • 강우는 우리의 일상생활뿐만 아니라 각종 산업 활동 및 레저스포츠 등 많은 분야에 영향을 주는 중요한 기상 현상이다. 최근 들어 우리나라는 기후변화로 인해 과거 장마기간에 발생하였던 강우집중 현상이 장마기간 전후되어 발생하는 게릴라성 집중호우나 급작스런 이상강우의 형태를 보이고 있으며 그로 인해 홍수 예 경보체계 구축에 대한 중요성이 높아지고 있다. 하지만 우리나라의 경우 홍수 예 경보 체계 및 수공구조물 건설 등이 국가하천 위주로 운영되어 소하천에 대한 연구와 대책이 부족한 실정이다. 최근 이상호우에 의한 홍수피해 사례를 보면 지방하천 혹은 소하천으로부터 발생한 재산 및 인명피해가 크다는 것을 알 수 있으며 이를 관리하기 위한 시스템 구축이 절실한 상황이다. 특히 도시하천의 홍수방재를 위해서는 안정적이고 체계적인 도시하천관리가 필요한데 이를 위해서는 도시하천의 특성을 정확히 파악하는 것이 매우 중요하다. 국내에서 하천의 특성에 관한 연구동향을 살펴보면 대부분의 연구가 하천수질 관점에서 하천특성을 규명하는 목적으로 수행 되었고 홍수 방재를 위한 수문학적인 관점에서의 하천 특성을 도출하는 연구는 미비한 실정이다. 수문학적 관점에서의 하천특성은 유역면적, 도달시간, 형상계수 등 유역특성인자를 말하며 국내 하천에 적용 할 수 있는 대표 유역특성인자를 도출을 위해서는 통계학적인 방법이 필수적이다. 그 중에서도 요인분석, 주성분분석, 군집분석 등 다변량 통계기법을 이용한 분석 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 GIS분석과 지자체에서 제공하는 소하천정비기본계획을 통해 도시하천의 유역특성인자를 선정하고, 수문분야에서의 적용성이 높은 다변량 통계분석기법을 이용하여 우리나라를 대표할 수 있는 도시하천의 특성 및 권역별 도시하천의 특성을 도출하였다. 또한 대조군에 적용하여 도출된 특성의 적정성을 평가하였고 이를 통해 도시하천 관리에 이용될 수 있는 도시하천의 특성을 제시하고자 한다.

  • On the occasion of high price oil generation, we have to promote activation policy for public transportation and hold back to use passenger car, it is very important to improve of sidewalk environment for pedestrian. Evaluation for sidewalk environment will be fixed with sensibility to feel pedestrian. So, study for sensibility about comfort etc. to feel pedestrian will be carried out. In this paper, researchers interests in engineering methods to make material considering sensibility and image of human. Therefore, we carried out recognition experiment for sidewalk environment with Kansei engineering, and made a quantitativedata of sensibility adjective that it was surveyed by semantic deferential method. After grasp factors by principal analysis, we found factor effect to design criterion and sidewalk environment preference. So, we could identify a design factor for comfort environment.

  • In this paper, the factors of 1680 marine casualties occurred during 1986-1988 are analysed by the Principal Component Analysis. The main results are as follows: 1. Most of marine casualties result from the human factors such as careless operation and insufficient engine maintenance. Engine trouble is main part of accidents and great number of accidents is rated for fishing vessels. 2. Accidents are serious in case of cargo ships, passenger ships and tankers from the point of view of the damage of human life and properties. On the other hand, those are not so serious matter in case of fissing vessels and governmental vessels. 3. Grounding, collision and capsizal mainly result from careless operation, however material defect result in flooding

  • 문서를 이루는 단어들의 빈도수가 지수법칙(power law)를 따른다는 지프의 법칩(Zipf's law)이 있다. 이러한 단어분포를 고려하여 문서의 토픽을 찾아내는 기계학습법이 디리쉴레 프로세스(Dirichlet process) 이다. 이를 발전시켜서 데이터의 잠재 요인(latent factor)들을 베이즈 확률모델에 기반한 샘플링 바탕으로 찾는 방법이 인디언 뷔페 과정(Indian buffet process) 이다. 우리는 25가지의 특징(feature)들에 대한 점수(rating)들이 볼드(blood oxygen dependent level) 신호와 함께 주어지는 PBAIC 2007 데이터에 주성분 분석법(principal component analysis)를 적용했다. PBAIC 2007 데이터는 비디오 게임을 수행하며 기능적뇌영상(functional magnetic resonance imaging, fMRI) 촬영을 하여 얻어진 공개데이터이다. 우리의 연구에서는 주성분 분석법을 이용하여 10개의 독립 성분(independent component)들을 찾았다. 그리고 1.75초 마다 촬영된 BOLD 신호와 10개의 고유벡터(eigenvector)들간의 내적을 취하여 가중치(weight)를 구하였다. 성분들의 가중치를 낮은 순서로 정렬함으로써 각 시간마다 주도적으로 영향을 미치는 성분들을 알아낼 수 있었다.

  • In order to clarify the interspecific variation of Astiphrom jezoense, a morphometric analysis was performed for seven populations using PCA (principle component analysis) and discriminant analysis. As a result of PCA, 25 quantitative characters are grouped into four factors. The characteristics on legs are especially important components both in male and in female. Morphometric analysis indicate that considerable morphological gap is correlated with geographical habitat. Important discriminant characters are MOD (maximum ocellar distance), Fn (first tergite length) in female and MSL (malar space length) in male.
