  • This paper presents a numerical analysis procedure and a characteristics for dynamic of cylindrical panels. The panels with simply-simply or simply-clamped edge supports are subjectes to circumferential compressive or flexural stresses. The differential equations governing vibration and dynamic for these panels are derived by using the fundamental differential equation of the Love-Timoshenko and are solved numerically by the Galerkin method. The panel with simply-clamped edge supports is used a trigonometric function or an eigen function of a beam as a trial function and the effects of trial functions on numerical solutions are displayed. Numerical results are presented to demonstrate the effects of the flexural parameters in natural frequencies and coefficients of critical buckling, and some typical mode shapes of vibration and buckling are also presented.

  • The distributing current is calculated on the infinit plane mattaric grattings for the TM waves. The matrix is larger, when the moment method is applied this structure. So, the moment method of this case is required large memory and long CPU times. Those boundary condition and the scattering formura are transformed into spectal domain. Taking account of the peridic structure, this formular is changed in a series form by using the Flouquet mode. By making a suitable basis function, this equation is expreseed matrix form. So the distributing current on the mattaric strip is able to caculate by using this equation. We calculate magnitude of the distributing current for varing these spaces, widthes and an angle of incident waves.

  • Shape optimization of internally finned circular tube has been peformed for periodically fully developed turbulent flow and heat transfer. The physical domain considered in this study is very complicated due to periodic boundary conditions both streamwise and circumferential directions. Therefore, Pareto frontier sets of a heat exchanger can be acquired by coupling the CFD and the multi-objective genetic algorithm, which is a global optimization technique. The optimal values of fin widths $(d_1,\;d_2)$ and fin height (H) are numerically obtained by minimizing the pressure loss and maximizing the heat transfer rate within ranges of $d_1=0.2\sim1.5\;mm,\;d_2=0.2\sun1.5\;mm,\;and\;H=0.2\sim1.5\;mm$. The optimal values of the design variables are acquired after the fifth generation and also compared to those of a local optimization algorithm for the same geometry and conditions.

  • In this paper, when a H-polarized plane wave is incident on the grating consisting of uniform resistive strips, electromagnetic scattering is analyzed using the moment of methods (MoM). The current density of each resistive strip on a grounded dielectric plane is fixed by zero at both edges. To satisfy the condition at both ends of each resistive strip, the induced surface current density is expanded in a series of cosine and sine functions. The scattered electromagnetic fields are expanded in a series of floquet mode functions. The boundary conditions are applied to obtain the unknown current coefficients. According to the variation of the involving parameters such as strip width and spacing and angle of the incident field, numerical simulations are performed by applying the Fourier-Galerkin moment method. The numerical results of the normalized reflected power for resistive strips case for zero and several resistivities are obtained.

  • In this paper, when a E-polarized plane wave is incident on the grating consisting of tapered resistive strips, electromagnetic scattering is analyzed using the method of moments(MoM). The induced current density of each resistive strip in a grounded double dielectric layer is expected to blow up at both edges. To satisfy this, the induced surface current density is expanded in a series of Chebyshev polynomials of the second kind. The numerical results of the normalized reflected power for resistive strips case for several resistivities are obtained.

  • In this paper, E-polarized electromagnetic scattering problems by a conductive strip grating between a double dielectric layer are analyzed by applying the FGMM(Fourier-Galerkin moment method) known as a numerical method of electromagnetic fileld. The boundary conditions are applied to obtain the unknown field coefficients, and the conductive boundary condition is applied to analysis of the conductive strip. The numerical results for the normalized reflected and transmitted power are analyzed by according as the width and spacing of conductive strip, the relative permittivity and thickness of the double dielectric layers, and incident angles. Generally, as the value of the dielectric constant of the double dielectric layer increases, the reflected power increases and the transmitted power decreases, respectively. As the dielectric constant of the double dielectric layer increases, the current density induced in the strip center increases. The numerical results for the presented structure of this paper are shown in good agreement compared to those of the existing papers.

The boundary conditions are applied to obtain the unknown field coefficients, and the resistive boundary condition is applied to analysis of the resistive strip. The numerical results for the normalized reflected and transmitted power are analyzed by according as the relative permittivity and thickness of the double dielectric layers, and the resistivity of resistive strip. Overall, when the resistivity of the resistive strip decreased or the relative permittivity of the dielectric layer increased, the reflected power increased, and as the reflected power increased, the transmitted power decreased relatively. Especially, as the relative permittivity of double dielectric layer increases, the minimum value of the variation curve of the reflected power shifted in the direction that the grating period decreased. The numerical results for the presented structure of this paper are shown in good agreement compared to those of the existing papers.
