The purpose of this study is to identify factors influencing suicidal ideation for the elderly living alone. Utilizing the identified factors as the base data, the study aims to develop community programs for suicide prevention. This research is a secondary analysis of the 2017 national survey, 'Survey on the Elderly,' conducting logistics regression analysis on the data collected on 10,299 elderly aged 65 or older living in 17 general residential facilities as of 2017. The analysis reveals that 10.5% of the elderly living alone have contemplated suicide. Also, the people who had ever reported a crime to the police increase their trust in the police. However, sex, education experience, car ownership, household victimization preventive measures, crime trends decrease their trust in the police. As foreign immigrants are rapidly increasing, how they without previous knowledge and experience adjust themselves to local circumstances where they come to live becomes a major social issue. In order to analyze their adjustment process, this paper suggests a model which consists of relationships with local environment and people on the one hand, and of geographical knowledge and imagination on the other. The analysis of questionnaire survey based on the conceptual model suggests some findings. As there are considerable differences in the extent of their local adjustment and felt difficulties among immigration types, nationalities, and dwelling regions, foreign immigrants‘ policies should be devised proper for their type and characters.

It is necessary to take measures to increase handwashing practice rate of Korea, while Nepal's is increasing by supplementing equipment and education even their handwashing recognition was low. This results are from a few middle school students in both countries by convenience sampling, therefore it is needed repeated studies with wider range of subjects.

The purpose of this study is to analyze NSSI (Non-suicidal Self-Injury) and upcoming papers to review research achievements and endpoints and current problems. Analysis data necessary for the study were collected through the classification procedure as domestic suspension during the mandatory period related to self-harm from 2010 to the present. As a result of analysis according to classification categories (general characteristics, study subjects, research variables, program utilization), first, domestic studies related to non-suicidal self-harm increased steadily through 2019 and 2022 after increasing in 2017 (three articles) showing shape. Second, changes in the characteristics of the research subjects began to appear. If previous studies had mainly focused on adolescents who experienced self-harm, it was expanded to early adulthood (college students), and the subjects of the study diversified to include those who had experienced self-harm cessation, counselors, and parents. Third, various research methods began to appear. Compared to 2017, when quantitative research was active, research was conducted that applied various qualitative research methods (narrative, phenomenology, grounded theory, meta-analysis, case study). Finally, discussion of the research results and suggestions for future research were added.
In many cities in the East and West during the modern period, historical resources were perceived as obstacles to urban development and were treated as deficiencies calling for development. Korea underwent a process of drastic urbanization and industrialization almost unprecedented in modern history. In this process of turmoil, cities expanded rapidly and went through a series of changes. City development followed a repeated cycle in which resources were concentrated in the city area, which, in turn, led to further development. However, such method of development is reaching its limits. In order to make a city desirable for living, it is crucial to make an effort to build a sustainable city environment where life and history coexist harmoniously. It is now time to consider how to carry forth sustainable development in the city where the past, present, and future coexist. If so, how will the future of our cities look and the form of housing change? To answer this question, we examined Urban Hanok Residential Areas and Hanyangdoseong neighborhood village, which went through rapid changes in the modern period. The Hanok, which was a commonplace sight in the past, has been perceived as an underdeveloped form of housing, easily targeted for redevelopment only a few years ago; so was the case with Hanyangdoseong neighborhood village. Yet now these are being revalued as sustainable housing areas able to coexist with the history of the city. That is, through restoration, their potential of contributing to the history and identity of the city is gaining recognition. In this regard, it holds great implications for us to look at the changes that traditional Korean housing areas and castle villages have undergone.
