Polymerization of dual cured composites by different thickness (두께에 따른 이중 중합형 복합레진의 중합)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of thickness, filling methods and curing methods on the polymerization of dual cured core materials by means of microhardness test. Two dual cured core materials, MultiCore Flow (Ivoclar Vivadent AG, Schaan, Liechtenstein) and Bis-Core (Bisco Inc., Schaumburg, IL, USA) were used in this study. 2 mm (bulky filled), 4 mm (bulky filled), 6 mm (bulky and incrementally filled) and 8 mm (bulky and incrementally filled)-thickness specimens were prepared with light cure or self cure mode. After storage at $37{\circ}C$ for 24 hours, the Knoop hardness values (KHN) of top and bottom surfaces were measured and the microhardness ratio of top and bottom surfaces was calculated. The data were analyzed using one-way ANOVA and Scheffe multiple comparison test, with ${\alpha}$= 0.05. The effect of thickness on the polymerization of dual cured composites showed material specific results. In 2, 4 and 6 mm groups, the KHN of two materials were not affected by thickness. However, in 8 mm group of MultiCore Flow, the KHN of the bottom surface was lower than those of other groups (p < 0.05). The effect of filling methods on the polymerization of dual cured composites was different by their thickness or materials. In 6 mm thickness, there was no significant difference between bulk and incremental filling groups. In 8 mm thickness, Bis-Core showed no significant difference between groups. However, in MultiCore Flow, the microhardness ratio of bulk filling group was lower than that of incremental filling group (p < 0.05). The effect of curing methods on the polymerization of dual cured composites showed material specific results. In Bis-Core, the KHN of dual cured group were higher than those of self cured group at both surfaces (p < 0.05). However, in MultiCore Flow, the results were not similar at both surfaces. At the top surface, dual cured group showed higher KHN than that of self cured group (p < 0.05). However, in the bottom surface, dual cured group showed lower value than that of self cured group (p < 0.05).

A Study on the Physicochemical and Sensory Characteristics of Cod Stock by Hot Water Extraction Time (열수추출 시간에 따른 대구육수 이화학적 및 관능특성에 관한 연구)

  • This study aims to make stock using cod bones with the hot water extraction method. Moisture content, chromaticity, pH, salinity, sugar content, mineral contents, quantitative analysis, and overall acceptance were studied to determine the standard formula. The results are as follows. The moisture content decreased (p < 0.001) and color value increased as heating time increased. The pH was highest in CS5 which was heated for 30 minutes and lowest in CS1. The salinity and sugar content significantly increased with more heating time (p < 0.001). In terms of mineral contents, sodium was highest in 138.87~154.17 mg, magnesium and iron showed proportion difference with increased heating time. The mineral analysis test result revealed that sodium, magnesium and iron showed proportional difference with increased heating time, while potassium and calcium did not change. The result of quantitative analysis test showed transparency, fishy smell, delicate flavor, savory flavor, salt taste and umami taste became stronger as high-pressure heating time increased. From these result, CS4 was evaluated to be the best in appearance, flavor, taste, aftertest and overall acceptance. Also, 60 minute high-pressure heating time is the most desirable to produce stock using cod bones as a main ingredient.

  • In the 7th century, Prince Shoudoku built the Horyu temple at Nara, when Buddhist culture in Japan had highly prospered after Buddhism were transmitted to Japan from Korea. At the same time, the three ancient country of Silla, Koguryo, and Baekjae had generally effected on Japanese culture and life as well as Buddhist events, religious services and sacrificial offerings in form. And even now there are kept above one thousand of tablewares which was used at the age and was made of wood and alloy manufactures from Han peninsular in Seisoin at Nara. Through these historical backgrounds, it could be presumed that the religious services and the sacrificial offerings for Prince Shodoku for above 1300 years help us to study and estimate the ancient dietary culture of Korean and Japanese. There are several points of similarities which are remained and maintained in Han Peninsular. 1. They used high filling method of the secrificial offerings and high receptacles in the religious service. 2. The cakes were mainly made of nonglutinous rice tharr glutinous rice 3. They decorated the pheonix instead of flowers and the other kinds of birds in Korea. 4. Kakiage of fried confectionary was founded in many kinds of them at present.

냉면소스 제조공정의 표준화를 통한 품질향상 연구

  • 최근 소득수준의 향상과 여성의 사회진출로 인해 우리의 식생활도 많은 부분이 사회화되고 있다. 즉 완전조리식품과 반조리식품이 급격히 증가하고 있다. 기존의 인스탄트식품이 저가격, 반건강 특성으로 생각되어진 반면 최근 고가의 건강 지향적인 반조리식품으로 변화하고 있다. 이러한 경향은 식품가공기술 및 식품포장기술의 향상과 사회적요구에 부합된 결과로 사료된다. 이에 대표적인 경우가 다양한 소스류의 상품화 경향이다. 본 연구개발 사업에서 이루어지는 냉면소스도 가정에서 하기에는 번거롭고, 건강지향적 식생활로 메밀의 수효가 증가하여 냉면의 소비가 증가하리라 생각된다. 현재 시판되고 있는 기존의 몇몇의 제품들이 있기는 하나 제조공정, 보존상태 등에서 많은 문제점이 있다. 따라서 문헌 통하여 기존제품의 배합비를 조사하고, 냉면소스 배합비의 최적화를 위해 10여차례에 걸쳐 20종류의 소스에 대하여 배합비의 변화와 관능검사에 의해 배주스, 양파, 겨자, 마늘, 설탕, 물엿, 소금, 미원, 참기름, 고춧가루, 진간장, 생강즙, 식초, 파인애플로 구성된 소스를 개발하였다. 개발된 소스의 pH, 당도, 염도, 색차를 측정하여 관능검사의 결과와 비교 검토하였고, 식품재료의 차이에 의한 맛의 변화를 보정하기 위한 근거로 사용하였다. 저장성 검사를 위해 일반세균과 대장균을 검사하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 소비자들의 기호에 맞는 냉면소스를 개발하기 위해 다양한 식품의 배합을 시도하여 상품성이 있을 것으로 판단되는 recipe를 완성하였고, 일반인(주부)들을 상대로 한 호감도 조사에서도 좋은 성적을 나타내었다. 시료를 1주간격으로 한달간 실험한 결과 쇠고기가 들어 있는 제품을 제외하구 대장균은 검출되지 않았으며 일반세균은 위생법의 허용치내에 있었다. 쇠고기가 있는 제품은 가격상승과 저장성에 문제가 있어 이를 제하고 최종적인 레시피를 결정하였다.있었다. 그러나 식이 섭취상태와의 관련성은 나타나지 않았다. 이상에서 생활습관이 신체계측치 및 혈중 지질 농도와 일부 상관을 보이는 것을 알 수 있었으며, 건강위험 요인도 관찰할 수 있었다. 고지혈증은 심혈관계질환의 주요한 위험 인자로 알려져 있으며, 그 유발 요인에는 여러 환경적인 요인과 식이 요인이 있다. 또한 생활습관은 영양소의 섭취량에도 영향을준다. 이처럼 식이 요인과 생활습관은 단독 혹은 상호 영향을 주게 되므로 고지혈증 및 심혈관계질환을 개선하려면 식사요법과 생활습관 교정을 병행하여야 한다. 고지혈증의 원인 중의 하나로 지적되고 있는 음주와 흡연은 상호 유도작용이 있으므로 금연이나 절주를 하고자 할 경우 두가지를 동시에 자제해야 효과적일 것으로 생각된다. 폐경후 여성들에게 발생 빈도가 높은 심혈관질환의 위험요인인 고지혈증을 예방하고자 하는 노력은 폐경후 여성들의 삶의 질적 향상을 위해서도 매우 중요하다. 또한 균형식 섭취와 운동을 통해 혈중 지질 수준을 건강하게 유지하고, 비만으로의 이행을 방지함으로써 심혈관계질환을 예방하도록 하여야겠다.료보다 절반이하 수준이었다. Isolation and Identification of Pentachlorophenol-degrading Bacteria (Pentachlorophenol을 분해하는 세균의 분리와 동정)

  • To develope the enhanced bacterial strains capable of biodegradation for various chlorinated aromatic compounds, 100 bacterial strains were isolated from soil samples of suburbs of Taejon, Cheongju, and Jeonju by the enrichment culture. These strains can degrade pentachlorophenol (PCP) which is a kind of wood preservatives. Nineteen strains of the isolates were selected by fast colony-forming rate on solid minimal media containing PCP as an only source of carbon and energy. These strains were identified to genus level. Fifteen strains were identified as Pseudomonas, 1 strain as Acinetobacter and 3 strains were not. Genus Alcaligenes strains were not found among them. Pseudomonas sp. MU135. MU139, MU163 and MU 184 were able to degrade for 4 kinds of chlorinated compounds, PCP, 2,4-D, MCPA and 3CB. Pseudomonas sp. If was observed that MU139 exhibits the highest degradability in liquid minimal media at 72 hours after inoculation. Pseudomoans sp. MU147, MU177, MU184 and MU192 also degraded the compounds at higher rates. As the results, Pseudomonas sp. MU139 and unidentified strain MU184 had biodegrability for broad range of chlorinated compounds and higher rates of degradation for PCP.

Study of the Chemical Composition of Korean Traditional Ceramics (II): Chos$\breve{o}$n Whiteware (한국 전통 도자기의 화학 조성에 대한 연구 (II): 조선백자)

  • The material characteristics of Chos$\breve{o}$n whiteware were investigated by analyzing and comparing the body and glaze compositions of whiteware shards excavated at the Kwangju royal kilns, Ch'unghyodong, and four other local-level kilns. In Korea, the rise of whiteware technology began in the early years of the Chos$\breve{o}$n dynasty, when the indigenous tradition of Kory$\breve{o}$ celadon was strongly influenced by the whiteware aesthetics of the Chinese Ming dynasty. The Kwangju royal kilns eventually made hard-textured whiteware of a quality equivalent to that of the Chinese by using type of porcelain stone that contained slightly less $Fe_2O_3$ and $TiO_2$ and slightly more $K_2O$ than that used for celadon. In contrast, the potters of Ch'unghyodong achieved the same level of quality by finding and using a totally different material: kaolinitic clay. The porcelain stone used at the Kwangju kiln was commonly found in Korea and south China, whereas kaolinitic clay (which has a high aluminum content) was typically found in north China, and was only rarely used in Korea. The flux component of the glaze compositions was mostly limestone, first in burnt form and later in crushed form, and the clay component was often glaze stone, which was a finer-grained porcelain stone with a higher proportion of feldspar. In the future, this comparative analytical study of Korean whiteware components should be extended to the $18^{th}$- and $19^{th}$-century kilns that are currently being excavated at a rapid pace.

Performance Analysis of CFRP Rear Spoiler according to Types of Inner Foam Core under High-speed Driving Condition (고속 주행 상황에서 CFRP 리어 스포일러의 내부 폼 코어 종류에 따른 성능 분석)

  • The inner foam structure plays an important role in the performance of the carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) rear spoiler used in automobiles. However, there is still a lack of studies for the CFRP-based rear spoiler according to the type of inner foam, especially under the high-speed driving condition. With this motivation, we numerically analyze the performance of the CFRP rear spoiler using various cases of the inner foam under the highspeed driving condition. Here, polymethacrylimide (PMI), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and styrene acrylonitrile (SAN) resins are employed as the inner foams in this work. The performances are evaluated using the deformation aspects and vibration characteristics when the driving condition is a high-speed condition (200 km/h). Furthermore, to specifically verify the importance of the inner foam in the high-speed condition, we additionally investigate the performance of the CFRP rear spoiler without the inner foam structure (i.e., hollow type). As a result, it is confirmed that among the types of inner foams utilized in this work, the PMI and PVC inner foams have the best deformation aspect and vibration characteristic, respectively. Note that the hollow-type inner foam has inferior performances compared to other inner foams invoked in this study. Consequently, through this study, it can be confirmed that the inner foam structure can significantly improve the performance of the CFRP spoiler under high-speed driving condition (200 km/h), and also that the strengths of the CFRP spoiler can manifest differently depending on the types of inner foam core.

Studies on LiF-${Li_2}O-{B_2}{O_3}-{P_2}{O_5}$ based Glassy Solid Electrolytes (LiF-${Li_2}O-{B_2}{O_3}-{P_2}{O_5}$계 유리고체전해질에 관한 연구)

  • Electrical characteristics of LiF-$Li_{2}O-B_{2}O_{3}-P_{2}O_5$ glasses with fixed $Li_2O$ content have been investigated by using AC impedance spectroscopy. Part of the total lithium ions present in these glasses contributes to conduction, and the changes in electrical conductivity with composition was inconsistent with the weak electrolyte model. The power law could not be used to determine the hopping ion concentration in these glasses. Both mobile carrier density and mobility have been modified as Li were added in the form of LiF. The formation of $(B-O-P)^-,di^-$, and metaborate group gave additional available sites for Li+ diffusion causing the enhancement of conductivity. The observed maximum conductivity was $2.43 \times 10^{-4}$S/cm at $150^{\circ}C$ at the composition containing 8mol% LiF. The decomposion potential amounted to 5.94V. The Li/glass electrolyte/$TiS_2$ solid-state cell showed open circuit voltage of 3.14V and energy density of 22 Wh/Kg at $150^{\circ}C$.

  • The growth of semi-insulating(SI) high resistant undoped GaAs epilayer has been studied to solve the problems ocurring when GaAs IC is fabricated by the widely used ion implantation directly into the SI GaAs substrate. The EPD ditribution of the SI substrates has been examined, and the suitability of the buffer layers grown by MOCVD and MBE, respectively, has been tested for IC fabrication through leakage current measurement. IJngated FET has been fabricated on the SI epilayer and leakage current through the buffer layer has been measured. In the case of MOCVD grown 1$\mu\textrm{m}$-thick buffer layer, the leakage current is as small as about 270nA/mm, and this value does not affect the pinch-off of FET. In this case, the epilayer quality is affected by the substrate defects because the leakage current distribution is coincided with the EPD distribution of the SI substrate. The 2$\mu\textrm{m}$-thick buffer layer grown by MBE, however, has the better quality, and shows the lower leakage current(40nA/mrn) and higher uniformity.

The Characteristics of Microstructure and the Mechanical Properties of Multi-Phase Sheet Steel. (다상조직강의 기계적 성질과 조직특성)

  • In this study, the relationship between mechanical properties and the effects of second phase in tri-phase steel which was composed of ferrite-martensite-bainite was investigated. In order to obtain different microstructure of ferrite+martensite(DP), ferrite+bainite(F+B), and ferrite+martensite+bainite(TP, different heat treatment has been accomplished. The effects of volume fraction and microstructure of each specimen were studied on tensile property, Charpy impact energy and stretch-flangeability. As the bainite content in triphase steels increased, the tensile strength, and yield strength decreased as well as the reduction of area and strength-uniform elongation increased. However, ferrite-bainite steel had high yield ratio and yield point elongation. The Charpy impact energy of TP and F+B steel was higher than that of DP steel. In addition, the characteristics of hole expanding limit($\lambda$) of TP steel and F+B steel were higher than that of DP steel. These mechanical properties of tri-phase steel have been improved, because bainite could be deformed easily within ferrite matrix. The effect of bainite on ductility in tri-phase steel has been found to be favorable. In this experiment, tri-phase steel contained within 27% bainite volume fraction had good nechanical properties and superior stretch-flangeability.
