Assessment Tools of Cognitive-communicative Ability for Traumatic Brain Injury and Right Hemisphere Damage: A Review (외상성 뇌손상 및 우반구 손상 환자의 인지-의사소통 능력 평가도구에 관한 문헌 고찰)

  • Cognitive-communicative disorders after traumatic brain injury(TBI) and right hemisphere damage(RHD) are different from other neurological disorders in nature. Therefore, it is not desirable to use aphasia tests in evaluating individuals with TBI or RHD. The aim of this study is to review assessment protocols on TBI and RHD, and literature related with them. As a result, it is recommended that individuals with TBI be examined in scope of the cognition including attention, memory, organization, reasoning, as well as the functional communication. Similarly, it is useful to consider high-order language related to various cognitive domains in assessing cognitive-communicative ability after RHD. In conclusion, we need to focus on the overall cognitive-communicative domains in an evaluative process of TBI and RHD. Furthermore, it is necessary to develop multiple items for individuals with cognitivecommunicative disorders for the purpose of differentiating these heterogeneous groups from other neurological disorders such as aphasia, and of making good use of them as a therapeutic manual.

Cognitive-Pragmatic Language Assessment for Normal Aging : Study of Assessment Tools and Content Validity (노년층의 인지-화용언어 능력 평가 : 평가도구 및 내용타당도 연구)

  • Cognitive-pragmatic language ability decreases during the normal aging process. Evaluating the ability might be useful in testing predicting cognitive level and diseases such as dementia. The aim of this study is to analyze various assessment protocols for normal aging, and evaluate the content validity of the currently developing cognitive-pragmatic language test domains and items. Content Validity Index(CVI) was calculated based on ratings judged by 17 experts including speech-language pathologists and clinical psychologists. As a result, it was found that CVIs of all 7 domains including attention, memory, organization, reasoning, problem solving, executive function, pragmatic language were above .75. It was concluded that the test items contained the appropriate content validity to assess cognitive-pragmatic language for normal aging.

Difference between Gifted and Regular High School Students in Mathematical Thinking Ability (고등학교 수학영재와 일반학생의 수학적 사고력의 비교)

  • In this study, the instrument of mathematical thinking ability tests were considered, and the differences between gifted and regular high school students in the ability were investigated by the test. The instrument consists of 9 items, and verified its quality due to reliability. Participants were 353 regular and 252 gifted high school students from tenth grade. As a result, not only organizing ability of information but also ability of space perception and visualization and intuitive insight ability could be the characteristics of the mathematical giftedness.

  • In this paper, we investigated teachers' awareness for the gifted education using technology. We chose teachers who were taking a course(60 hours) in the gifted education at Educational Training Institute in Chonnam National University, and analyzed their awareness for gifted education using technology. We found teachers' awareness as followings. First, teachers think that their ability using technology is contained ability developing and performing program for the gifted education. Second, using technology in the gifted education have an effect on ability of inventively solving problem and extension of thinking power of the gifted. Third, the gifted education using technology is helpful to developing abilities of the gifted, which are intuitional discernment, organizing information, space perception and visualization. Also, that is helpful to developing fluency, flexibility and uniqueness of the gifted in terms of sub-factors of creativity (fluency, flexibility, uniqueness, sophistication).

A Study on the Level of Self-regulated Learning Ability for Engineering College Students (공과대학 학생들의 자기조절 학습능력 수준에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the level of self-regulated learning ability for engineering students. Self-regulated learning theory has been studied as the theoretical background and assessment framework explaining life-long ability. A survey was conducted to engineering students from an engineering-centered university, located in Seoul. The research findings were as follows. First, each mean of cognitive regulation, motivation regulation, and behavior regulation was 3.041, 3.051, and 2.996 respectively, indicating that the scores were not high. Second, there was no significant difference in the mean score of self-regulated learning ability between female and male students. Third, students in ABEEK accredited program scored meaningfully higher than students in non-accredited program on only 3 sub-components of organization strategy, metacognition, and task value. Fourth, senior students scored meaningfully higher than 1st year students on only 3 sub-components of metacognition, intrinsic motivation, learning environment management. The results revealed that instructional interventions should be provided for engineering students to develop self-regulated learning ability.

An Exploratory Study on Video Information Literacy (영상정보 활용능력에 관한 탐색적 연구)

  • In this study, we conducted a literature review and exploratory research to identify the characteristics of recently popular video information and to propose the basic capabilities required for video information literacy. Through a literature review, the distinct characteristics of video information were examined from various perspectives, differentiating it from other types of information. Subsequently, we had one-on-one, in-depth, semi-structured interviews with 16 participants in their teens to 50s to collect their video usage experiences. The interview contents were categorized to create a codebook, and content analysis was performed. Based on this analysis, we derived the characteristics of video information. Finally, the characteristics of video information were identified through the literature review and interview analysis outcomes, and these characteristics were classified into properties of video and characteristics related to video information usage. Based on the identified characteristics of video information, this study proposed the basic capabilities required for video information literacy.

  • The purpose of this study was to clarify the attributes of the concept of clinical performance skills in simulation-based practical training and to organize them in order to establish theoretical foundations for clinical competence. The research method employed was the concept analysis process of Walker and Avant (2011). Papers related to clinical competence published between January 2000 and April 2023 were selected by searching various databases such as PubMed, CINAHL, Ovid-Medline, DBpia, KISS, and others. The attributes of clinical competence were found to be (1) the clinical competence of knowledge, judgment, and skills, (2) Adaptability to Changing Healthcare Environment (3) the ability to perform nursing roles appropriately in response to the demands of nursing subjects. This study is significant as a concept analysis study that recognizes the importance of nursing from a nursing perspective in a situation where research on clinical competence is active in simulation-based training. Based on the results of this study, it is necessary to develop training programs and tools including the attributes of clinical competence in simulation nursing education and to measure the effectiveness of the programs using them. nursing perspective in a situation where research on clinical competence is active. 통일주체국민회의 대의원 선거의 의의

  • 우리는 지난 11월 21일 국민투표를 통해 역사적인 유신헌법을 절대다수의 찬성으로 가결시켜 유신헌정의 터전을 마련하였다. 그리고 곧 이어서 이 헌법에 의해 새로이 마련될 통일주체국민회의를 구성할 2,359명의 대의원을 선출하기 위핸 선거법과 동시행령이 공포되고, 그 선거를 실시하게 되었다. 통일주체국민회의는 다른 어떤 나라의 헌정에도, 또한 과거 우리 나라에서도 일찍이 없었던 특수한 국가기구로서 남북으로 분단된 우리 민족의 특수한 상황에 입각하여 조국의 평화적 통일을 추구할 수 있도록 국력을 조직화하고 민족주체세력을 형상하는 중요한 기구이다. 그러므로 깨끗하고 올바른 선거로서 가장 양심적이며 능력있고 통일의 시대를 이끌 사명감에 투철하며, 평화통일을 위해 겅실히 노력할 수 있는 인물을 통일주체국민회의대의원으로 뽑아야 할 것이다. 그리하여 안정과 번영, 그리고 조국통일로 민족중흥을 다짐할 유신헌정의 우람한 출범을 위해 견고한 초석을 하져야 하겠다. 그러면 이와 같이 막중한 통일주체국민회의 대의원선거의 의의를 알아 보도록 하자.

지방 중소형 백화점의 경쟁력 강화요인 분석

  • 지방의 중소형 백화점은 외국자본의 할인점과 대기업에서 운영하는 대형백화점의 진출로 사면초가의 위기를 맞고 있다. 따라서 이러한 어려운 여건하에서 어떻게 하면 살아남을 수 있는 방안이 있는지를 찾는데 가장 큰 목적이 있다. 따라서 이를 위하여 지방의 중소형 백화점의 문제점의 도출을 하고, 경쟁력 강화요인을 분석한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 먼저, 문제점을 도출하면, 유통업체 내부적인 관점으로는 불필요한 경비지출 증가의 문제, 마진률 저하 및 상품구성의 문제, 인력의 종속성과 양성제도 미흡, 가격정책 결정의 한계, 마케팅 능력 미약과 이미지 저하, 업태의 불명확화 등이 있고, 기업외적인 관점으로는 자금조달의 한계, 정부의 정책지원의 미약, 거래관행의 구조적인 문제, 전문유통인력 양성정책의 미흡 등을 들 수 있다. 두 번째로 경쟁력 강화요인을 보면, 유통업체 내부적인 관점으로는 업태의 포지셔닝 재정립, 대입형태의 전환, 자사(PB)상품 개발 촉진, 우수한 전문인력의 확보, 서비스 경쟁력 제고 등이 있고, 기업 외적인 관점으로는 구조개선이 필요, 조직화 협업화 협동화, 지방 산업 육성, 자금과 교육지원 등을 들 수 있다.

  • The knowledge management starts from the enhancement of learning capability in the members of the organization. The strategic change into the learning organization should be aligned with the change of organizational strategy, structure and processes. The study employed action learning methodology to transform the traditional organization into the learning one. The learning organization project has been successful thanks to the members' zeal and consensus to change the processes. However, not every learning team has been so successful. Some cases complained time consuming where others expect to be helpful for their incentives. The researchers concluded that the most important point for success of the learning organization project should be the support of top management.
