The Influence of Information Security Techno-stress and Organizational Justice on Compliance Intention: Focusing on the Theory of Planned Behavior (정보보안 기술 스트레스와 조직 공정성이 준수 의도에 미치는 영향: 계획된 행동이론을 중심으로)

  • Organizations amplify their information security (IS) technical investments as the demand for IS escalates. This research suggests conditions for enhancing insider compliance with IS, focusing on the potential for behavior modification through techno-stress and organizational justice, based on the theory of planned behavior. To test the proposed hypothesis, this study utilized a survey methodology on 383 employees from companies with implemented IS. The test results showed that IS techno-stress (overload and uncertainty) caused by reduced attitudes of employees, and organizational justice increased subjective norms, influencing IS compliance intentions along with self-efficacy. Additionally, organizational justice has been found to alleviate the adverse effects of IS overload and uncertainty on attitudes. The findings are expected to help clarify measures for achieving IS performance within the organization by proposing organizational justice conditions to improve the negative IS environment of the organization.

  • This paper discusses the characteristics of the fire service organization structure in the Republic of Korea. The subjects of the study were selected by the fire service organization consisting of public firefighters in the Republic of Korea. The characteristics of the fire service organization structure (complexity, centrality, and officiality) were confirmed by various articles and previous references. The fire service organization showed a mechanical structure and bureaucratic organization. The levels of complexity, centrality, and officiality in the characteristics of fire service organization structure were higher than those of a general administration organization or company organization. In conclusion, this paper contributes to the development of fire service organization theory by confirming the characteristics of fire service organization structure.

An Empirical Study on the Structural Relationships among Colleague trustworthiness, Organizational trust and Organizational citizenship behaviors (동료신뢰성, 조직신뢰, 조직시민행동 간의 구조적 관계)

  • The purpose of this study is to empirically examine the structural relationships among colleague trustworthiness, organizational trust and organizational citizenship behaviors(OCB). To conduct such examination, the author (i) designated colleague trustworthiness, organizational trust and OCB as variables and (ii) designed a research model by conducting preceding studies on the variables. To examine the research model the author collected the survey data from the 2 universities employees, 134 copies of questionnaire. Collected data were analyzed using SPSS and AMOS programs. The analysis results are as follows. Especially, (1) there was no statistically significant relationship between colleague trustworthiness and OCB. (2) it was found that higher degree of integrity the constructs of colleague trustworthiness would lead to higher degree of organizational trust. (3) organizational trust has been found to exert mediating effect on the relationship between colleague trustworthiness and OCB. The implication and limitation which this study are as follows. First, this study has discovered that organizational trust is the important mediating variable that affect the process of relationship between colleague trustworthiness and OCB. This study have limitation in that was conducted based on cross-sectional design of research. Because, the formation of trust is a dynamic process.

  • This study is a research on the influential factor of R&D (Research and Development) personnel's job stress on their organizational effectiveness, and defined its purposes as the following in order to find out in detail what effect the R&D personnel's job stress has and what difference it makes with respect to the relation with their organizational effectiveness. As a result of testing the relation between organizational members' job stress and their organizational effectiveness through this empirical research, the following results were derived. First, job stress according to demographic characteristics has an important effect on organizational effectiveness. Second, it was revealed that job stress has a significant effect on organizational effectiveness according to organizational members' personal characteristics. Third, it was found that organizational members' job stress has a negative effect on organizational effectiveness. Finally, it was found that each variable such as role-conflict, role-ambiguity and career development has a negative effect on organizational effectiveness independently.

  • 벤처기업 CEO의 본질적 역량과 역할은 조직의 자원을 얼마나 효율적으로 운영하는가에 따라 관리자로서 조직성과에 큰 영향을 미친다. 이러한 중요성에도 불구하고 CEO 역량 수준이 조직이 내재하는 자원에 미치는 영향에 대한 이론적 고찰과 CEO의 역량 수준과 조직성과 간의 관계가 조직 구성원의 역량에 따라서 어떻게 달라지는가에 관한 실증연구는 매우 부족한 실정이다. 기존 선행연구의 한계점을 보완하기 위해 본 연구에서는 자원기반이론(resource-based view of the firm)을 바탕으로 프로스포츠 산업에서의 조직 구성원의 역량에 따른 관리자의 감독역할에 대해 실증적으로 분석하였다. 구체적으로, 본 연구에서는 기존의 스포츠 기업가정신(sport entrepreneurship) 연구 분야의 이론을 경영전략의 자원기반관점과 융합하여 벤처기업 CEO와 프로스포츠 감독의 역할이 조직구조와 성과 메커니즘의 측면에서 매우 흡사하며 조직의 자원을 효율적으로 운영하고 성과를 도출하는 측면에서 모두 기업가(entrepreneur)적 특성을 반드시 내재해야 한다고 본다. 이러한 맥락에서 프로스포츠팀에서의 관리자로서의 감독 역량과 조직성과 간의 관계에서 조직의 자원 효율성의 매개효과와 조직 구성원 역량에 대한 조절효과를 설명하고자 한다. 미국프로농구(NBA) 30개 구단과 한국프로농구(KBL) 10개 구단의 9개 시즌(2013~2014시즌 - 2021~2022시즌)의 감독과 팀 데이터를 실증분석에 있어 프로세스 매크로 58 모형을 적용하여 본 연구의 가설을 검증하였다. 실증분석 결과, 미국프로농구과 한국프로농구 데이터 모두에서 (1) 프로농구팀의 자원 효율성은 감독의 역량과 승률 간의 정(+)의 관계를 매개하고, (2) 조직 구성원의 역량은 농구팀의 자원 효율성을 통한 감독 역량이 승률에 미치는 간접효과를 조절(p<.05) 하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 비교적 객관적으로 조직의 성과측정이 가능한 프로스포츠 데이터를 활용하여 프로스포츠 산업에서 벤처기업의 CEO와 유사한 기업가적 역할을 수반해야 하는 감독 및 조직 구성원의 역량이 조직의 성과에 미치는 영향을 실증분석하는 한편 스포츠 애널리틱스(sport analytics) 분야와 경영학 연구를 융합하였다는 의의가 있다.

The Effect of Organizational Memory Affordance and Person-Job, Person-Organization Fit on Organizational Performances : Mediating Absorption Capacity (조직 메모리 제공과 개인-직무, 개인-조직 적합성이 조직성과에 미치는 영향 : 흡수역량을 매개로)

  • In the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the level of data-efficient utilization greatly affects the performance of the enterprise. This study was to verify the effect on organizational performance and the absorption capacity as a mediate, depending on person-job fit and person-organization fit in organizational memory affordance. According to a survey of 317 employees of large, medium and small businesses, organizations that have sufficient organizational memory have had a positive impact on both person-job fit(PJF) and person-organization fit(POF), and also on absorption capacity. In addition, the organizational memory affordance had a positive effect on absorption capacity by mediating the POF. PJF and POF had a positive effect on management performance, but only POF when mediating absorption capacity showed a positive influence relationship. This study is meaningful by comprehensively empirical analysis of the organizational IT construction environment and the members' perception of organization and job as a leading factor in absorption capacity, and simultaneously demonstrating the impact on organizational performance.

A Study of Resistance to Change by Organizational Politics and Fairness in The Split-offs Firms (분할 기업에서 조직정치지각과 공정성에 따른 변화저항 연구)

  • The organizational politics strengthened resistance to change. This study explores how the organizational political perception and fairness in split firms affect resistance to change. The analysis showed that the boss's and colleague's politics is minimized by its distributional fairness and procedural fairness. The organizational politics strengthened resistance to change. Additionally, mediating effects of fairness were analyzed. As a result, it was revealed that the perception of organized politics by bosses and that colleagues' perception of organizational politics affected resistance to change based on distributional fairness. However, it was shown that procedural fairness had no mediating roles between organizational politics and change resistance. There is a need to pay keen attention to distributional fairness to minimize the resistance to changes of organizational members at the split. If distributional fairness is not secure, Members will be a political behavior.

  • This research explores the impacts on the recognition of organizational justice for public employees organizational citizenship behavior during the public-sector reformation. Research results are summarized as follows. The first, the job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavior of public employees relate with procedural justice, interactional justice. but distributive justice not impact. The second interactional justice relations impact organizational citizenship behavior. The third, job satisfaction does the intermediate role between the organizational justice and organizational citizenship behavior of public employees. These result contribute to the explanation of how public employees organizational citizenship behavior work in the public sector reform process.
