This paper investigates an oil refiner's asymmetric behavior in the adjustments of gasoline and diesel prices to changes in his own price and his rivals' prices as well as input costs. An asymmetric error correction model which allows a firm's pricing behavior to the deviation of other firms' prices from their long-run equilibrium level is employed for estimation using weekly data for the period April 2009 to January 2015. Evidence is found that there is a significant degree of asymmetry in the adjustment of wholesale prices to changes in crude oil price. A similar result in regard to the exchange rate is also found by the data. The estimation results for firm's response to changes in other firms' prices indicates that implicit collusion could be more easily exploited in the wholesale petroleum market as results of firms' interaction with each other and anticipation of rivals' pricing behavior. A few refiners show competitive price adjustment in response to the upward deviation of the others' prices from their equilibrium level.

This study was carried out recognition and status changes of optician for glasses fitting. It based on a survey results of twice in relation to the glasses fitting. The results are as follows. The ratio of glasses fitting about optician operation appeared to increase gradually. The positive awareness change appeared from the customer and optician about the cost charging about the glasses fitting. In the case of a plastic glasses, the burden for the inconvenience feeling and fitting frequency showed an increase with relation to the temple fitting. To reduce the burden of glasses fitting, The continuous education for the correct glasses usage need.

A study on the global trend of accreditation for mediators implies many important aspects of controlling of the quality of mediation. Firstly, whether or not having an accreditation system, most European countries and the U.S. have a common understanding on the fact that mediators need to be trained to mediate disputes, apart from their own expertise on the subject matters. Secondly, private-led accreditation has been utilized in countries having a Anglo-American law system such as the United Kingdom and the U.S. a while nation-managed one has been operated in the countries having a continental law system such as Austria, Belgium, Italy and Germany. Thirdly, private mediation service providers (usually institutions or companies) play an active role in the training and accreditation of mediators and further make them act as mediators in the disputes referred to them. Fourthly, the countries having a nation-managed accreditation system usually stipulate a certain mediation training and accreditation requirement by law. Fifthly, there is no uniform trend on the minimum hours of training required for accrediting the mediators. Sixthly, mediation training generally focuses on the practical mediation capacity-building, including mediation theory and role-playing, mediation simulations, peer review and supervision. And finally, the mediation theory mainly includes the role of mediator, mediation procedures, mediation communication, negotiation and communication skills, mediation ethics and mediator's code of conduct, etc.

Chain-linking is a method for aggregating volume measures which would improve the quality of estimates of economic growth over the present fixed base in Korea. There is a risk that choice of chain-linking techniques such annual overlap, one-quarter overlap or over-the-year overlap may create an artificial seasonality to the volume series. The empirical results on Korean GDP suggest that the use of the annual overlap is recommended. And conducting seasonal adjustment after chain-linking to produce the chain-linked seasonally adjusted GDP is more appropriated in Korea.

Electrical resistance tomography (ERT) is an imaging technique where the internal resistivity distribution inside an object is reconstructed. The ERT image reconstruction is a highly nonlinear ill-posed problem, so regularization methods are used to achieve desired image. The reconstruction outcome is dependent on the type of regularization method employed such as l2-norm, l1-norm, and total variation regularization method. That is, use of an appropriate regularization method considering the flow characteristics is necessary to attain good reconstruction performance. Therefore, in this paper, regularization methods are tested through numerical simulations with different flow conditions and the performance is compared.

The purpose of this study is to examine the restructuring strategies that are selected according to the corporate life cycle and to provide evidence that restructuring strategies that are chosen when firms face financial difficulties can have a positive impact on corporate restructuring. This study is logistic regression analysis of 3,593 samples of companies listed on Korea Exchange from 2001 to 2016. The results of this study show that a company that is growing through the expansion of its size and investment can overcome the financial difficulties of the company. And this study finds evidence that the declining firms use the capital increase or debt issuance to revive the corporate regeneration. The results of this study suggest that it is important to consider the life cycle at the time of corporate restructuring and select the appropriate strategy accordingly.

The purpose of this study includes (1) to analyze the mediation process in which conflict mediation involves alternative stories through the mediation process after the characteristics of personal conflicts are analyzed (2) and to classify characteristics of the narrative of conflict mediation. This study attempts to examine mediation roles in the process mainly focusing on communication skills to which professional conflict mediators can apply. Based on this study, the usefulness of descriptive conflict mediation of social constructivism's perspective, one of the post-modern theories, was observed. The narrative mediation as a system that connects problems to conflicts with conversation and creates and develops the meanings of conflicts and problems in collaboration attempts to pursue new changes on the assumption of the subjectivity of human beings and the characteristic of the conflicts. Such a point supports the argument that conflicts should be approached from the communication perspective. Especially, it is expected that the fact that a variety of communication skills have great influence on conflict mediation becomes a key source to establishing communication study as one of mediation fields in conflicts.

The purposes of study is to propose a new method contract price adjustment in construction projects. The research method of this study includes a case analysis and questionnaire survey. The results of this study are as follows: 1) For improvement method of contract amount adjustment, enactment for legislation pertaining to computation methods such as military's organization through total unit cost, and price flexibility computation at the point of design modification were presented. 2) Arithmetic formulas for cases in which volume is deleted or modified below the price flexibility exemption amount or in which there is no change to quantity, at the occurrence of design modification resulting from price flexibility, were proposed.

In case of long time progressive construction work, we need contract sum adjustment due to escalation for a period of works and the process of applying, consistent and obvious criterion is required. In this study, it were attempted to figure out problem and study this rational improvement by giving examples based on core activities of escalation adjustment. Based on literature study and legal system analysis, we classified processes of contract sum adjustment for escalation and defined 20 core activities for each process. From this measured variable, we carried out case study by giving 37 examples of escalation. As a result of case study, problems of each process was found and we suggested rational improvement. As this study, providers will be able to waste budget and the other will be given smooth escalation adjustment.

Prime movers in engine rooms inherently are much affected by the adjustment of their governors for the steady state and transient properties, consequently requiring that marine engineers shall be well familiar with the way to manage governor dials for normal operation. The hydro-mechanical governors basically have different control characteristics and adjustment parameters of stability from digital governors. The former include compensation mechanism using dash pot while the control algorithm of the latter is usually based on the PID action. This study is for configuring a simulation module to let trainees practice how to adjust dials for stability on hydraulic governors in the view that the practice by real governors and engines is time consuming and high cost for operation. The governor module includes the adjusting points such as speed set, speed droop, needle valve and compensation pointer with engine module of $2^{nd}$ order coupled. The results of simulation showed satisfactory responses as a training tool for the adjustment of control parameters.
