  • This study examined the moderated mediation effect, consisting of the moderation effect of alexithymia and the mediation effect of hostility in the relationship between emotional labor and depression of casino dealers. A total of 160 casino dealers (56 males, 94 females) working in a foreigner exclusive casino in Seoul responded to a survey on emotional labor, alexithymia, hostility and depression. SPSS 22.0 Macro was used to verify the moderated mediation effect. First, the level of depression amplified as the emotional labor of casino dealers increased. Hostility had a significant partial-mediation effect on the relationship between emotional labor and depression. Second, the moderation effect of alexithymia was significant, indicating that the interaction effect of emotional labor and alexithymia as well as hostility and alexithymia predicted depression. Third, the moderated mediation effect of alexithymia was significant. Alexithymia moderated the influence of emotional labor on depression, which was mediated through hostility. Implications on how to assist casino dealers on emotional labor were discussed.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of decentering and self-silencing in a relationship between socially prescribed perfectionism and social anxiety. We predicted self-silencing would function as a mediator in this relationship, and that decentering would moderate this mediation effect. To investigate this aim, three hundred seven university students were surveyed. All variables showed statistically significant correlations, and there was no statistically significant difference in the moderating effect of decentering in the relationship between socially prescribed perfectionism and social anxiety. Conversely, this study showed that there was a significant difference in the moderating effect of decentering in the relationship between self-silencing and social anxiety. In addition, socially prescribed perfectionism affected social anxiety through self-silencing, and decentering moderated the mediating effect of self-silencing. Implications and potential follow-up studies are discussed.

To test the hypothesis, we used GETR(Global Entrepreneurship Trend Report) data that was collected by Korea Entrepreneurship Foundation and was consisted of 40,388 data collected from 2,000 people in 20 countries. First, entrepreneurship experience and entrepreneurship education have significant influence on entrepreneurship intention. Second, gender moderating effects on these relationships were found to have a significant effect on the relationship between entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurship intention. Specifically, the positive effect of entrepreneurship education on entrepreneurial intention was found to be stronger for women than for men. Finally, the analysis of the three-way interaction effect of the social protection confirmed that the positive relationship between entrepreneurial experience and entrepreneurial intention was stronger for women than for men, and this effect was found to be higher in the high social protection group. In other words, women with entrepreneurial experience are more likely to increase their entrepreneurial intentions when they are more aware of social protection than men.

  • This study analyzes targeting 584 senior citizens aged 65 and over in Gyeongsangnam-do to verify a mediated control effect of optimism and family support in stress and successful aging of the aged. Using SPSS Macro Way suggested by Preacher and Hayes. A study model is verified through a route model, and the verification of the study model is conducted in three stages. The first stage analyzes whether a control variable has a control effect in a relationship between predictor variable and standard variable, and the second stage confirms a relationship between predictor variable and mediated variable. In addition, the third stage confirms a mediated control effect. An analytical result is summarized as follows. First, as a result to verify a mediated effect between stress and successful aging, and optimism, it is confirmed that it supports a partially-mediated model. Second, as a result to verify a control effect of optimism and family support of successful aging, it is confirmed that everything has a control effect. Third, as a result to verify a mediated control effect of stress, optimism, successful aging, and family support, there is a mediated control effect. Based on these study results, practical undertone and future task are suggested, and a way to improve family support is presented for successful aging in advanced age.

  • The wearables market has fast grown, demanding a more consumer-centric academic attention. The current research explores the moderations of consumer individual characteristics (i.e., age, need for cognition, involvement) in the dynamics of perceived psychological benefits of wearables adoption (i.e., perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use) towards perceived product quality. the results indicate a strong positive influence of both the perceived usefulness and ease of use on perceived quality. however, the predicted moderations of age, need for congitiion, and involvement were partially supported.

  • This study examined the relationships among stress, childhood traumatic experience, ego-resilience, and life satisfaction of university students to explore the moderating effects of ego-resilience on those variables. The survey participants were 459 university students in Gyeonggi province. The collected data were analyzed using frequency, Pearson correlation coefficient, stepwise multiple regression, and moderated multiple regression by SPSS. The results were as follows. Stress, childhood traumatic experience and ego resilience had correlations with the life satisfaction. Ego resilience and stress were significant effective variables on the life satisfaction. Moderated multiple regression analysis also showed that a positive future orientation, which is a sub factor of ego-resilience, influenced the stress level. Based on these findings, it is important to lower the stress levels to increase the students' life satisfaction level. To do so, a strategy to enhance the positive future orientation is recommended.
