Despite the recent depression of the construction industry, overseas plant market especially Middle East plant market is booming owing to the high oil price. Since many Middle Eastern countries are placing orders of big scale projects based on the high oil price, Korean EPC contractor are trying to get over the depression through theses plants. Presently, since the plant market is in prosperous condition in general, it is not hard to get overseas orders; however the original licenses that requirehigher technology and high added values are exclusive for advanced engineering companies which great difficulty is predicted for developing countries like us to join the crowd. Therefore, the objective of this study is to propose establishment of material management system on the filed to gain optimized effect of material management in connection with procurement system that all the procurement related personals execute tasks in advanced level by systemizing the task operation within the knowledge and task ability in time for plant construction procurement as a method to strengthening the competitiveness of Korean companies.

The bankruptcy possibility of construction firms have been higher by the environment of current construction industry. Thus, converting management environment for growth into that for value or profit is required. Nowadays, funds of construction firms is almost provided by financial institutions. As the firms' size grow, they have a form of fund provision through the securities market; however, fair distribution for returns is not practiced by opening company. Especially, construction firms lost trust of Investor by lack of awareness to firm clearness, and then a vicious cycle of no effectiveness in fund provision through securities market is continued again. On this study correlation between stock quotations and primary financial factors of firms in order to grasp actual management condition in construction firms was analyzed. By this, the correlation between stock quotations and the result of firm management was provided. Also, necessity of firm's capital provision was explained, thus ways to ensure firm clearness was searched.

As the scale of construction work is enlarged, complicated and diversified, much construction information from the large number of construction sites is generated and reported to the head office. To control much information generated in construction sites simultaneously, the necessity of supporting system which could extract necessary information is increased. However, comparing with those of large companies, medium-sized companies's organization of head office and management system are weak. So it's difficult to manage multi-projects. Among these site managements, resource management is an important management area. But, resource planning is based on experience and judgement and has not associated with schedule information. So when schedule is changed, the plan must be amended manually. This study investigates material-planning model for multi-project management which is connected with daily report system and scheduling software.

In a corporate financing, the decision of optimal capital structure is becoming more critical issues and still remaining a problem to be solved though many of researcher have studied. Particularly, shipping companies need a huge amount of capital finance for new vessel's capacity and then they are considering what is the best capital structure. In this point of view, this study tries to investigate the determinants of debit maturity structure focused on the Korean shipping industry. As results of panel regression analysis, firm size, liquidity, chance of growth, good cash flow are major determinants of debit expiration structure in the Korean shipping companies.

As there are a lot of differences in the public building construction cost depending on the construction scale of actual construction cost system, a lot of problems occur in the estimation of the cost. So, the development of a predictive model depending on the construction scale shall be used in a way that it is applied to the case selectively and differently. This study drew a cost estimating model through a regression analysis. For this, 42 construction sites which were ordered during 2011 to 2012 by Public Procurement Service data were selected as a historical data. Based on the application of the model to new construction and the verification of its effect, the reasonable model for estimating the construction cost has been suggested.

The Small and Medium Business Administration specified 123 construction materials mandatory to purchase directly and forced the public owners to provide the contractors with materials as required by related law. This study extensively reviewed various characteristics and management factors of the owner-providing materials consumed in the public apartment housing under Direct Buying System(DBS) from the public owner's perspective. Subsequently, the major managed materials were identified, and the proper response plan was developed along the material procurement process. The Procurement Management Load Indices (PMLI) of 43 materials were evaluated according to rating criteria with procurement path, project-specified level, user requirement level, supplier's responsibility, on-site work requirement, additional parts, and inspection standards. The tile and aluminum windows were classified in the group needing high-level procurement efforts to reduce the errors and ensure the efficiency. The accurate quantity estimation method, definite purchase details, management activity definition before and after production, additional quantity for rework, interference coordination were defined as the essential activities for effectively responding to DBS.

한국은 1989년 2월 통신분야 우선협상대상국(PFC: Priority Foreign Country)으로 지정된 이래 미국과 쌍무협상을 계속한 결과 1993년부터 통신망 관련 제품시장을 개방하게 되었다. 또한 한국이 올해 안으로 GATT의 정부조달협정에 가입할 것으로 예상됨에 따라 통신기기 시장개방이 우리나라 통신산업에 어떠한 영향을 줄 것인가하는 문제는 관심의 대상이 되기에 충분하다. 본 연구에서는 시장개방으로 인한 외국기업의 국내통신기기 시장의 잠식규모와 이에 따른 국민경제파급효과를 분석해 보았다.

21세기의 세계경제를 주도할 것으로 전망되는 나노기술의 개발을 위해 요즘 세계 각국은 후끈 달아오르고 있다. 미 국립과학재단은 2015년의 나노제품 시장규모를 1조달러로 보고 있어 이런 방대한 시장을 쟁취하기 위해 세계 비즈니스계와 정부들은 앞다퉈 막대한 연구개발비를 퍼붓고 있다. 미국은 2003년 나노테크 연구개발비를 2002년보다 17%가 많은 7억1천만달러를 투입할 예정인가 하면 미국, 서유럽, 일본에 이어 많은 나노테크 연구개발비를 투입하고 있는 우리나라는 2002년부터 연간 1억달러를 지출할 계획이다.

우리 나라의 경우에 산업화가 가속화되면서 유해 독성 기체상 물질의 누출사고 위험성이 점점 높아져 가고 있는 실정이다. 우리 나라는 특히 산업인력의 조달과 지방경제 발달을 목적으로 중소도시 근방에 대규모 공단이 건설되어 있는 경우가 많다. 이러한 공단에는 위험물을 취급하는 공장과 위험물이 수송 및 이동되는 사례가 매우 많을 것으로 추정되며 이러한 경로를 통하여 유독가스 누출사고가 발생 할 경우 바로 인근 주민 및 작업 인원들의 생명을 위협할 수 있다.(중략)
