The structural relationship between brand consistency and intention to purchase luxury fashion products: with a focus on the mediating effect of self-construal (명품 패션 제품의 브랜드 일치성과 구매의도의 구조적 관계: Self-Construal의 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • Luxury goods products have a steady stream of consumers, and the latest trend is the sell and purchase markets. The consumers age groups also vary widely. This research examined the mediating effect of self-construal of the relationship between brand consistency and intention to purchase luxury fashion products. The analysis classified the brand consistency of luxury fashion products as social, actual, and the deal. First, the order of consistency that had an effect on self-construal appeared in the order of social cohesion, actual coincidence, and ideal coincidence. Second, an analysis of mediating effect of self-construal showed that only self-construal appeared to have a partial mediating effect on the relationship between the intention to purchase and the actual and ideal consistency. Such result can be interpreted as that when purchasing luxury fashion products, consumers have a tendency to desire that the brand would express their personal image and that it would match the perception they had of the brand, rather than a tendency to perceive the brand as a tool to help them perform their desired social role. These results suggest that consumers who consume the brand desire to have their personalities and subjective environmental conditions well expressed.

  • Forcasting the future is a very important task in design situation analysis. To do this, the reduction of life style, the tendency of product differentiation and individuality should be considered along with such changes as cultural, economical and social trends. At the moment, industrial structure is being reorganized from centering around the manufacturing industry to the distribution industry and consumers. Consumers show the attitude of expressing their individualities on the basis of various tastes rather than standardization. The flow of information also has been changing rapidly from the former types of information provided by producers to the age when consumers pursue the objective and model of information. Therefore, we are able to say that picking up the trends around the streets becomes more important than ever. Accordingly, the objective of this study is to establish a system which is able to effectively carry out the trend analysis by a town watching method, the construction of a database with collected data, and its practical application on the web.

  • 과거와 달리 현재는 소비에 대한 인식이 바뀌어 상품을 공급받는 소비가 아닌 이미지와 가치를 중시하는 차별화된 소비를 원한다. 따라서 고객의 주목을 끌어 판매를 유도하는 매장 쇼윈도우 디스플레이의 중요성이 높아졌다. 쇼윈도우 디스플레이에 있어서 오브제(object)는 제품의 가치를 향상시킬 수 있는 수단이자 방법으로 시각적 매체이다. 이러한 오브제 연출 기법을 살펴보기 위해 구상적 매체와 추상적 매체로 구분하여 패션 플래그쉽스토어 사례를 분석하였다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 오브제 연출 기법의 적극적인 도입으로 과거의 획일화된 디스플레이 연출에서 탈피하여 제품의 가치 증진과 소비자와 유대관계를 맺고 시선을 유도할 수 있는 차별화된 패션 플래그쉽스토어 쇼윈도우 디스플레이로 거듭나는 것에 의의를 둔다. 또한 디스플레이 쇼윈도우의 효과적인 시각전달과 새로운 디자인의 개성화를 추구하고자 한다.

A Study on the Influence of Consumer's Personality Traits on the purchase Intention (소비자의 성격이 제품 구매의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • This paper aims to investigate the difference in perception about businesses' diverse marketing-mix activities depending on personality traits and its influence upon consumers' buying intention. For this research, a total of 400 men and women in Seoul and nearby capital areas, the most potent buyers of cell phones mostly in their 20s, were randomly chosen for questionnaires. Among them, 298 were finally selected in consideration of the validity of their responses. This paper is founded on two hypotheses; there may be some difference in perception about marketing-mix activities depending on personality traits and perceived marketing-mix activities may affect consumers' buying intention. For statistical analyses, this paper employs the SPSSWIN 14.0. The results are as follows;

웨딩인쇄물 - 디자인.인쇄기술.소재 변화바람 거세다

  • 대표적인 소량다품종인쇄물인 웨딩인쇄물 시장에 변화의 바람이 불고 있다. 대부분의 고객이 $3{\sim}500$장 내외로 인쇄하는 경우가 많은 청첩장인쇄는 예전부터 기성카드에 마스터인쇄를 해서 제작하는 경우가 일반적이었다. 물량이 상대적으로 소량이어서 오프셋인쇄로 작업할 수 없었기 때문에 마스터인쇄사의 대표적인 일감의 하나로 불렸다. 그러나 최근 들어서 개성을 중시하는 결혼식과 청첩장을 차별화하고 싶다는 경향이 소비자를 중심으로 활발하게 일어나는가 하면 디지털인쇄기의 본격적인 보급으로 소량다품종 인쇄를 지원하기 시작했으며 다양한 후가공 작업을 쉽게 진행할 수 있게 되어 맞춤형 및 고급형 청첩장 인쇄시장이 지속적인 성장을 거듭하고 있다. 물론 아직까지 기성카드사의 제품을 사용하는 청첩장 인쇄가 제일 많다. 그렇지만 예전과 달리 청첩장의 종류가 수백, 수천가지에 달하기 때문에 개성을 최대한으로 살리는 선택을 하는 것이 가능하기 때문에 어떤 면에서는 맞춤형 청첩장인쇄와 다름없다는 주장과 평가도 나오고 있다. 현재 청첩장을 비롯한 결혼과 관련된 인쇄물은 대체적으로 카드업체를 중심으로 하는 기성품시장, 개별 단가는 매우 높지만 아직까지 시장의 수요는 일부 계층에 국한되어 있는 고급형 맞춤 청첩장을 비롯, 디지털인쇄기를 이용해 포토청첩장 등 특별한 디자인의 청첩장을 수주하는 인쇄업체 등으로 크게 분류되어 있다. 한편 지난 2007년을 기준으로 $3{\sim}500$억원 대에 달하는 웨딩인쇄물 시장은 결코 큰 시장이라고 할 수는 없으나 꾸준한 성장세를 보인다. 청첩장이 어떤 의미에서 볼 때 작은 소품의 기능을 갖는다는 것을 보면 상당히 큰 시장이라고도 볼 수 있을 것이다. 최근 진행되고 있는 웨딩 인쇄물 시장의 변화와 현황을 살펴본다.

A Study on Advertising Expressive Factors of Fashion Products on Brand Equity -Focused on Mediate Role of Brand Personality- (패션제품 광고표현요소와 브랜드 자산에 관한 연구 -브랜드 개성의 매개효과를 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of advertising expressive factors on brand equity and to investigate the role of brand personality as a factor mediate variable. The subject used for this study were 352 female university students. The data was analyzed by descriptive analysis, correlation analysis and confirmatory factor analysis using SPSS program and Amos program. As the result, model fit index showed $X^2$=57.824, df=19, GFI=0.969, CFI=0.959, NFI=0.942, and RMSEA=0.076, providing good model fit. Out of the advertising expressive factors, sophistication and model preference factors gave impact on brand personality. Also, among advertising expressive factors, novelty, sophistication, model preference, information factors affected brand equity. Finally, brand personality influenced on brand equity. Brand equity was affected directly by advertising expressive factors. It was also affected by brand personality which is a mediate factor between advertising expressive factors and brand equity. The results of this study would provide advertising strategy for fashion brand.

The Effect of Brand Personality and Brand Equity on Women's Casual Brand Extension (여성 캐주얼 상표 확장에 대한 상표 개성과 상표 자산의 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to determine effects of apparel product's brand personality, and brand equity on its brand extension. For the data collection, women in their 20s were surveyed, and a total of 576 questionnaire were finally used. Brand Reneevon and brand Enc were selected through a preliminary survey and then compared in terms of brand extension. Results of the study can be summarized as follows. 1 The brand personality of casual apparel for women consisted of low factors such as uniqueness, competence, fashionability and sincerity, while the brand equity of apparel included three factors brand loyalty, perceived quality and leadership, and brand association and awareness. 2. There was a significant positive correlation between brand personality and brand equity. 3. Brand Reneevon was found higher in brand equity than the brand Enc. 4. Brand extension was influenced by perceived quality and leadership. In case of the brand Enc, brand extension into fashion accessories was significantly affected by brand personality. 5. Brand Reneevon was found better than Brand Enc in brand extension, especially into fashion accessories.

제품디자인에 대한 사용자의 심리적 반응프로세스모델구축에 관한 연구

  • The purpose of this study is to build user's psychological response process model on design evaluation. Users firstly evaluate design factors such as form, structure, texture and colors which are basic elements of product design. These factors, however are affected by product's situational factors, user's individual factors and environmental factors. That is, even same design can be evaluated differently by users according to product's situational factors such as price level, brand prestige level and marketing programs, and user's individual factors such as tastes, involvement level, personality, lifestyles and demographics, and environmental factors such as culture, sub-culture, social class, reference group and family and so on. Understanding how users evaluate product design is necessary to increase the possibility to create user-preferring design and also is the starting point of user-based design and design marketing. In the future researches, it is necessary to examine more factors which are not included in the study and to find out the relationship between factors affecting user's evaluation on design and user's psychological response.

  • In the new millenium of information and digital age, the vogue cycle has been gelling shorter and shorter and the individualistic and high quality preference of contemporary consumers drive the small quantity production by order. The traditional screen printing system can not hold the competitive edge anymore. In order to actively meet the demand of the fast evolving market, compete with other nations, and produce high value-added products, we need the new production system to meet the individual needs promptly. Mass production using the traditional screen printing system has the economic advantage of the production speed and cost. The digital textile printing system digitalizes the total process from the design to the printing and omits the separation and engraving. It is more suitable to produce the multiple item-small quantity and add more values to its products. It has also the advantage of less pollution problem.

  • This study investigates the effect of Alpha-numeric brand name on the product suitability, brand personality, and attitude. To do that we have chosen the functional sportswear, knowing the fact that the Alpha-numeric brand names are not hard to find in this industry. The changes have been made to Alpha-numeric names, such as the usage/non-usage of number, the size of number being used, the writing method, and the different typeface to suit for the study purpose. The results indicate that the Alpha-numeric brand names do have the effect on increasing the fitness for the product's brand. The bigger number and the cursive script will improve the product's suitability. The customers form positive attitude and favorability on the Alpha-numeric brand name compared to the regular brand name in this industry. The contribution of the study is to dig out the distinction of the communicational effects on the customers when the Alpha-numeric brand names take on the different forms. Therefore the current study enlights the practical value of Alpha-numeric brand name as part of the branding strategy.
