Establishment of Cosmetic Raw Material Weighing and Bulk Manufacturing Management System Using Bar Code, QR Code and Database (바코드, 큐알코드와 데이터베이스를 활용한 화장품 원료 칭량 및 벌크제조 관리시스템 구축)

  • In this study, effective cosmetic raw material weighing and bulk manufacturing management system were constructed by using bar code or quick response code (QR code) and database. Raw material labels and weighing labels for bulk manufacturing were published in web environment using the information entered in the database using ScriptX, a print component of Medi&Co. By checking the weighing and manufacturing process by using scanner, tablet and PC, it was possible to remarkably improve the product error caused by erroneous amount or misapplication which is the most cause of error in the production of cosmetic bulk. In conclusion, applying a database that utilizes bar code and QR code to cosmetics manufacturing can reduce the various problems in the process, thereby improving quality control and productivity of cosmetics.

Automatic Metallic Surface Defect Detection using ShuffleDefectNet

  • Steel production requires high-quality surfaces with minimal defects. Therefore, the detection algorithms for the surface defects of steel strip should have good generalization performance. To meet the growing demand for high-quality products, the use of intelligent visual inspection systems is becoming essential in production lines. In this paper, we proposed a ShuffleDefectNet defect detection system based on deep learning. The proposed defect detection system exceeds state-of-the-art performance for defect detection on the Northeastern University (NEU) dataset obtaining a mean average accuracy of 99.75%. We train the best performing detection with different amounts of training data and observe the performance of detection. We notice that accuracy and speed improve significantly when use the overall architecture of ShuffleDefectNet.

  • In order to implement a smart factory for manufacturing innovation, more digital twins will be developed and applied gradually. In particular, simulation and optimization of digital twins makes it possible to support critical decision-making like a predictive maintenance of the equipment for manufacturing. In terms of a user perspective, this study suggests the conceptual framework of Digital Twin Management System (DTMS) for supporting the analytical and managerial activities for Digital Twins. We integrate the methods and structure of the area like Manufacturing Engineering, Decision Support Systems, and Optimization for developing the DTMS. The framework suggested in this study shows a typical DSS which consists of dialog management system, model management system and data management system. It also includes Analytical Digital Twins and simulations & optimization module. The framework is being applied in one of the most competitive and complex industrial sector. Also this study is meaningful to suggest a new direction of research.

  • The purpose of this study was the Application of the HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) system to Korean Rice Cakes. Main ingredients of rice cakes, work facilities and workers were provided from KB company located in Seogye-dong Yongsan-gu, Seoul between September 12, 2012 and February 13, 2013. The manufacturing process chart was prepared by referring to the manufacturing process of rice cake manufacturers in general. As a result of this study, the microbiological hazard analysis on raw materials and finished products of rice cakes showed safe result. However, microorganism test on the manufacturing environment and workers suggested that microbiological hazard should be reduced through systematic cleaning and disinfection, accompanied by improved personal hygienes based on hygienic education on workers and management of microorganisms in the air.

A Study on the Etching of SUS MASK using Automatic Liquid Management System (자동액관리 시스템을 이용한 SUS MASK 에칭에 관한 연구)

  • This paper produced SUS MASK, which is used for OLEDs, using an automatic liquid management system. The SUS MASK was tested by setting the hole diameter to 0.4 mm. The additive F300 was found to be excellent as the hole diameter was close to 0.4 mm and the error range was measured to be 0.08 on average. And as a result of measuring the weight reduction amount of CuCl2 and FeCl3 according to the change in oxidation-reduction potential (ORP), FeCl3 is relatively sensitive to ORP changes. Experiments were conducted on whether ORP (610 mV) and specific gravity (1.463) were automatically controlled while continuously etching the SUS Mask. Experimental results show that the automatic liquid management system is well controlled because the setting value is not significantly changed. After setting the hole diameter to 0.4 mm as the target, the experiment results were measured from 0.36 to 0.44. Therefore, it is expected that etching processing in the manufacturing process of SUS MASK can be improved with higher precision by applying the manufactured automatic liquid management system.

  • 본 논문은 생산설비 PLC(Programmable logic Controller) 데이터의 실시간 공유 플랫폼을 설계한다. 이 플랫폼은 자동화 설비를 보유하고 운영 중인 수출집약 중소기업에서 FTA(Free Trade Agreement) 체결 수입 상대국의 원산지 증명을 위한 생산 시험성적서 제출에 활용할 수 있고, 생산설비의 OPC 서버가 갖는 실시간 데이터를 수집하는 라이브러리를 활용하여 MES(Manufacturing Execution System)에서 생성되는 다양한 실시간 데이터를 활용하여 그래프, 생산관리 모니터링 및 설비 관리를 가능케한다. 따라서 중소기업이 생산관리, 공정관리, PLC 데이터공유 등에 필요한 수준별 분야별로 실시간 제조운영관리 시스템의 확대 보급이 가능하고, 생산설비의 실시간 제어가 가능하도록 설계한다.

  • Increasing energy efficiency in factories is an activity aimed at optimizing resource allocation in manufacturing processes to establish production plans. However, this strategy may not apply effectively when night shifts are unavoidable. Additionally, continuous fluctuations in production requirements pose challenges for its implementation in the factory. Recently, with the rapid proliferation of electric vehicles (EVs), technology utilizing electric vehicle batteries as energy storage systems has gained attention. Technology using these batteries can be an alternative for factory energy management. In this paper, a factory energy management method using EV batteries is proposed. The proposed method is analyzed using PSCAD/EMTDC software, considering the state of charge of EV batteries and Time-of-Use (TOU) rates. The proposed method was compared with production scheduling established considering predicted power usage and TOU rates. As a result, production scheduling saved 4,152 KRW per day, while the proposed method saved 7,286 KRW in electricity costs. Through this paper, the possibility of utilizing EV batteries for factory energy management has been demonstrated.

  • To decrease of deviations from target specifications and excessive variability around targe, we exclusively designed statistical process control system involving general manager and expert tool for cigarette manufacturing process. This system is a unique programming environment for the development of total process control software including various control charts according to data type and process capability analysis. Also this system includes the statistical analysis module to analyze defective causes immediately when inferior products are made and the module to offer regular reports. This system is customized considering the manufacture environment based on the opinions of workers.

  • 품질 관리의 목표는 최종제품의 품질 보증에 있다. 이러한 목표를 달성하기 위해서는 품질 특성이 명확해야 하며, 동시에 품질 특성치에 영향을 주는 공정의 여러 변동 요인을 분명히 해야 한다. 실험계획법(Design of Experiments)은 특성에 영향을 미치는 여러 인자를 선정하며, 또한 이들의 관계를 알아보기 위한 실험을 실시하여 제품의 최적 제조조건을 경제적으로 찾아내는 기법이다. 본 연구에서는 실험계획법을 사용하여 유량을 최적화하는 요인을 선정, 얻어진 데이터를 통계적 방법으로 분석하여 최적의 조건을 나타내었다.
