The Impact of ESG Activities on the Corporate Performance : Focused on Logistics Companies (ESG 활동이 기업성과에 미치는 영향: 물류기업을 중심으로)

  • This study aims to analyze the impact of ESG activities on the corporate performance of logistics companies in Korea. To achieve this, the study examines the factors influencing the adoption and implementation of ESG activities, assesses the extent to which ESG activities enhance corporate trust and image, and empirically analyzes the effect of ESG implementation on the corporate performance of logistics companies. An online survey was conducted using Google Forms for Korean logistics companies, and a total of 463 data sets were utilized for PLS structural equation analysis using the SmartPLS 4.0 software tools. The findings of the study are as follows: Firstly, external pressure, specifically government pressure, significantly influences environmental responsibility activities, while investor pressure significantly affects social responsibility activities and governance responsibility activities. Additionally, internal management pressures significantly impact environmental responsibility activities, and employees have a significant influence on all ESG responsibility activities. Secondly, environmental responsibility activities positively affect corporate image, whereas social and governance responsibility activities influence trust and corporate image. Thirdly, trust and corporate image demonstrate significant effects on both financial and non-financial performance. Fourthly, trust significantly mediates the relationship between social responsibility, governance responsibility, and non-financial performance, while image mediates the connection between ESG responsibility and both financial and non-financial performance. The contribution of this study lies in providing practical insights for logistics companies to actively promote ESG activities, thereby establishing a reputation for being environmentally, socially, and governance responsible and gaining customer trust. By doing so, this study aims to raise awareness of the importance of ESG activities in the logistics industry and help companies recognize their significance for sustainable management

Senior Citizen Centers Utilization: Role of Socio-Demographic Factors, Life Satisfaction and Health Condition in Korea (경로당 이용과 인구사회학적 요인, 삶의 만족도, 건강상태에 관한 연구)

  • 목적: 한국은 지역사회 기반 통합 돌봄(커뮤니티케어)을 통해 노인들을 위한 보건 및 사회복지 서비스의 확대를 추진하고 있다. 본 연구는 노인의 경로당 이용에 대한 인구사회인적 요인, 삶의 만족도, 건강상태 등이 미치는 영향을 파악하고자 한다. 연구방법: 2017년 노인실태조사 자료를 이용하여, 횡단 분석 연구가 실시하였다. 이용패턴을 파악하기 위해 기술통계를 하였고, 경로당 이용과 관련된 요소들을 결정하기 위해서는 다변량 로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과: 지난 12개월간 노인 1만299명 중 22.7%가 경로당을 이용하였다. 경로당을 이용하는 이유 중 가장 많은 응답은 경로당 동료들과 여가를 보내기 위함이었으며, 대상자의 95% 이상이 제공되는 서비스에 만족하고 있었다. 사회인구학적 특성에 대해서는 여성(AOR=1.20; 95% 신뢰 구간(CI), 1.05-1.38), 80세 이상 노인(AOR= 3.94, 95% CI, 3.30-4.71), 문맹자(AOR=5.27; 95% CI 3.80-7.30), 교육 수준이 낮거나 읍면 지역 출신(AOR=6.42; 95 % CI, 5.72-7.20)이 경로당을 이용할 가능성이 가장 높았다. 생활 만족도 부분에서는 재정적 만족도(AOR=1.21; 95% CI, 1.06-1.37), 문화에 대한 만족도(AOR=1.49; 95% CI, 1.24-1.79) 및 친구들과 사회에 대한 만족도(AOR=4.24; 95% CI, 3.17-5.66)가 높은 사람이 경로당을 더 많이 이용하는 것으로 나타났다. 질병이 없다는 응답자에 비해 만성 질환을 2개 이상 보유한자(AOR= 2.01; 95 % CI, 1.60-2.53)의 경로당 이용률이 2 배 더 높았다. 결론: 정부의 지역사회 기반 통합돌봄 정책 수립을 위하여 경로당 이용에 영향을 미치는 인구사회학적요인, 삶의 만족도, 건강상태와 관련된 요인들을 고려하여, 이용률을 높이고, 건강관리를 위한 통합 돌봄 시설이 될 수 있도록 하여야 할 것이다.

  • 저고용을 통한 고효율로 기업생산성을 추구하는 결과, 야기되는 고용의 불균형을 타개하기 위해 2007년 정부는 사회적 기업 육성법을 통해 사회적 기업을 장려하고 있다. 뿐 만 아니라 전 세계적 으로도 사회적 기업에 관련된 연구를 미국의 로버츠 재단, 영국의 Social Firms, EMES European Research Network 등이 중심이 되어 사회적 기업의 생존 전략과 사회적 자본 활용을 통한 발전방법을 모색하고 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 세계적인 추세에 발맞추어 사회적 기업 발전에 필요한 기업생존, 고용증대, 매출증대, 권한위임을 종속변수로 Granovetter Mark, Burt Ronald, Coleman James, Peter Witt, Andreas Schroeter, Christin Merz, Helen Haugh 등의 연구를 참고하여 독립변수인 네트워크다양성과 강도가 어떻게 작용하는지를 먼저 실증 분석하고 나아가 네트워크의 효율적인 운영을 통하여 사회적 기업 발전을 극대화시키는데 연구목적이 있다. 그리고 본연구의 대상은 2009년 현재 국내의 295개 사회적 기업 가운데 전문가의 추천을 받은 25개 회사로 이루어졌으며 SPSS 12.0으로 요인분석, 타당성, 신뢰성, 상관관계 등의 분석을 거쳐 다중회귀분석을 통하여 가설을 검증하였다. 검증의 결과 기업생존, 고용증대, 매출증대, 권한위임 전 과정에 네트워크가 필요하며 특히, 기업생존을 위해서는 네트워크강도에 관련된 요인을 매출증대를 위해서는 네트워크다양성에 관련된 요인을 잘 관리하고 유지 발전시켜야 함을 알 수 있었다. 끝으로 본 연구의 결과가 사회적 기업 창업을 준비 중인 국내의 많은 회사나 비영리법인, 사회단체가 계속기업으로 발전해 가기위한 사회적 자본 활용 전략에 많은 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 생각한다.

The Mediating Effects on Relationship Quality Between Support Services of Franchisor and Re-Contract Intention in Food Service Franchise (외식 프랜차이즈 가맹본부 지원서비스와 재계약 의도 간의 관계품질의 매개효과에 관한 연구)

  • This paper aims to investigate the moderating effects of relationship quality between support services of food service franchisor and performance(re-contract intention) in food service franchise. For analyzing the relationship of them, the support services of food service franchisor categorized with initial service and continuous service. Also, the factors of relationship quality(satisfaction, trust, commitment) classified into detailed subfactor by confirmatory factor analysis. As a result, we found some statistically significant effects between the support services of food service franchisor and factors of relationship quality, and they sequentially affects to re-contract intention. Also, it's analyzed that factors of relationship quality have a role as a moderating variables by research model. That is, as a presented with previous research, there is verified that relationship quality is caused by support services of food service franchisor. Also, relationship quality factors significantly affect to performance(re-contract intention). Some guidelines for practicing potential food service franchise as a result of this would include; first of all, it is important to support the potential food service franchise consulting approach for some competitive advantage; secondly, effective governmental support programs for food service franchise should be developed for positive impacts of according to these results.

The Effect of Perceived Low-Carbon Green Growth Policy on Organizational Commitment in Small and Medium Construction Workers (중소건설업 종사자들의 저탄소 녹색성장 정책 인식이 조직몰입에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • Purposes of this paper are focused on researching that employees in small and medium-sized construction company embraced green growth policy by Korean government's strong will and they have try to improve it to take advantage of strengths. Specifically, the purpose of this study includes: Firstly, to examine the effects of employee's cognition of green growth policy and their organizational commitment. Secondly, to examine the mediating and moderating effect of the policy trust and company trust between employee's cognition of green growth policy and organizational commitment. In addition, th examine the facilitating effect of employee's self-efficacy between company trust and organizational commitment. In order to verify the relationship, moderating and mediating effects, data were collected from 168 individuals in 19 small and medium sized company to test theoretical model and its hypotheses. Findings are as followed: first, the relationship between the cognition of green growth policy and organizational commitment is positively related. Second, the employee's company trust played as a partial mediator and moderator on the relationship between cognition of green growth policy and organizational commitment. Finally, employee's self-efficacy also played as a partial mediator on the relationship between company trust and organizational commitment. This study contributes to deepen our understanding of employee's organizational commitment by suggesting an alternative theoretical model regarding how the cognition of green growth policy and organizational commitment work to relate employee's company trust, and how the company trust and organizational commitment work to facilitate employee's self-efficacy. These results reveal that the study contributed to combining variables of employee's cognition of green growth policy, company trust, self-efficacy and organizational commitment, and expanded it.

Understanding Factors Associated with Unmet Need for Outreach Community Health Service among Older Adults in Seoul (노인 방문건강관리 서비스 미충족 영향요인: 서울시 찾아가는 동주민센터 사업을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine various factors influencing the needs of Seoul's newly implemented outreach community services for older adults, and to suggest the direction of the outreach community health services in Seoul. A multi-level regression was conducted using data collected by face-to-face interviews from 1,000 individuals aged 65 and 70 in 17 districts, where participated in the Seoul's outreach community services. The results demonstrated that socioeconomic status (higher income and living alone), health status (having multiple chronic conditions and depression, lower health literacy), limited experience of the outreach community services, and low government trust at the individual level were associated with higher unmet need for the community outreach services. In addition, shorter participation period of the outreach services and financial independency at the district level were associated with higher unmet need for the services. The findings from this study implies the need for improving the quality of services by focusing on vulnerable groups such as individuals with lower income and worse health status. In addition, the outreach community health services may need to target individuals aged 66 to increasing efficiency of the services through utilizing results of life-cycle health checkup by the National Health Insurance Corporation.

  • Enterprise is focused on R&D innovative activities in order to achieve sustainable growth & secure competitive advantage. There are many factors that influence enterprise innovation performance, but enterprise innovation activities do not always have a positive effect. Therefore, this study analyzed the effects of on innovation performance, focusing on innovation acceleration factors and innovation hindrance factors. The research model analyzed 2,081 national manufacturing enterprises that responded to the 2016 Korean Innovation Survey (STEPI). SPSS 25.0 was used to perform reliability, feasibility, and logistic regression analysis. The results are as follows. First, innovation activities have positive effects on enterprise product and process innovation performance. On the other hand, government support had the opposite results. Second, the collaboration of technology showed a positive effect on product innovation performance, independent of innovation acceleration and hindrance factors. Third, innovation activities showed a positive effect on process innovation performance, regardless of the innovation acceleration and hindrance factors. Unlike prior studies limited to technological innovation, this study analyzed the attitudes of enterprises toward innovation acceleration and hindrance factors. This study is expected to contribute to establishing a strategy for reducing the failure and risk of innovation due to its findings on how innovation performance varies by groups.

Study on the Factors Affecting the Intention to Share Electronic Medical Records (전자의무기록 공유 의도에 영향을 미치는 요인 연구)

  • This study examined the factors affecting the intention of the public to share electronic medical records(EMR) based on the theory of reasoned action and the privacy calculus model. It also investigated whether the purpose of EMR sharing varies depending on personal characteristics, such as the degree of interest in health and personal medical history. According to an online survey of 145 people, altruistic enjoyment, awareness of personal information protection, recognition of legal and institutional roles, and interest in health had a positive impact on the level of EMR sharing, and trust in hospitals positively adjusted the relationship between recognition of legal and institutional roles and sharing intentions. Accordingly, we confirmed that the public recognized the role of the government and hospitals in the sharing process as necessary. The public interest benefits of sharing are critical to activating public participation in the sharing of EMR, and it is also essential to prepare guidelines that legally guarantee the security and proper use of EMR.

A Study on the Reduction of Falling Deaths Using 4M (4M을 활용한 떨어짐 사망사고 저감 방안 연구)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze data from the Ministry of Health, Safety and Health and the Ministry of Employment and Labor, and the total number of deaths (disease + accidents) reached 2,020 in 2019 and the estimated economic loss was 27.6 trillion won. This is believed to be the time to present improvements to ensure that economic loss estimates are steadily increasing as in Table 1, and that government-level losses can be drastically reduced. Method: In this study, factors were selected through prior research, and reliability analysis, technical statistics and correlation analysis, and multi-term analysis were conducted through the Jamovi program for the analysis of results. Result: Multiple session analysis was conducted to verify the research theory indicated in this study, and the analysis showed that mechanical and management factors did not affect the fall death accident of the opening, and human factors, material and environmental factors had a static effect. In addition, mechanical and administrative factors do not affect the fall of the outer wall, and human and material and environmental factors have a static effect. Conclusion:: As a result of analyzing 450 falling deaths over the past 13 years among the data posted to the Korea Health and Safety Corporation, the most common causes of falling deaths were the openings and outer walls.

  • Occurrences of large-scale food-related mishaps around the globe are degrading the safety and confidence on food items. This can be said to result from problems such as information asymmetry between the supplier and the consumer(information user). It makes it difficult to confirm product-related information including who produced an item how, what manufacturing process was involved, and how the product was distributed, and deal with a food-related trouble. The research verified and analyzed what has an effect on the intention to use Traceability System when the user uses information service.
