  • Although construction of any new nuclear power projects had not been launched since mid-1970s until recently in the USA, many new nuclear power plants have been constructed in many countries with the support of their governments mainly as part of their national energy security and electric source diversification policies. For many reasons, the nuclear power industry seemed to reclaim their renaissance from the beginning of this century and the investment in the nuclear power projects draw positive concern from the private financial sector. But the global financial crisis in 2008 and subsequent economic slow-down together with tighter bank credit regulations caused commercial banks, the main source of financing, to lose appetite for investing in new nuclear power projects. But the nuclear power economics shows that the nuclear power is viable in terms of the environmental benefit and long-term average cost compared to other power generation sources. Also doubt about nuclear power safety was much mitigated due to technology development and reinforced safety-related tests and monitoring. Therefore, the prospect for nuclear power market expansion remains positive although there are comparatively big differences among different scenarios. After Korea Electric Power Corp. won the UAE nuclear power project in December of 2009, the competition in nuclear power markets is undergoing huge changes. Competitors backed by the support of their own governments are now entering the market with many aggressive and innovative financing packages to win bids of new nuclear power projects. This report analyzed the nuclear power market prospects, competitive edges of nuclear power, risk management measures, and financing challenges and recommends alternative solutions to promote competitive edges in winning bids of new nuclear power projects.

  • This study investigated the relationship between ICT environment and business performance. In the case of Korea's major industries, large corporations have already established and operate a considerable level of smart factories, leading the global market. However, SMEs, which account for 95% of the total companies, are not able to build smart factories themselves. Smart factory construction The total number of government-supported enterprises is 4.891 companies (3,984 companies, 907 companies in construction) 2.9% of factories and 97.1% (166,344 companies) There is a big problem to be improved. The result of this study is that the first research objective of this study, which suggests the theoretical system that the will of the manager is most important for the successful establishment of the smart factory, which is part of the corporate innovation to meet the rapidly changing environment. Second, it can be seen that financing for building a smart factory is a key factor in building a smart factory, as well as funding itself. Third, it was found that besides its own technology, technology support for government and external technology consulting support are very important for smart construction. Fourth, organizational participation of internal organizers showed that cooperative and positive positive participation is also a factor of success. As a follow-up study, we analyzed the cause of the company's operation, analyzed the cause of the problem with the 4M1E technique, developed the countermeasures, and compared it before and after the improvement, standardized the improvement and needed further study. It is meaningful that the study provided basic data for building a smart factory through the analysis of the relationship between the ICT environment and business performance of the company.

  • The trends of Chinese and Yanbian University's reform were studied in this work. Although the history of Chinese modem university education is short, and all Chinese Universities experienced same social problems, however, development of each university was different. Especially after 90's, with applying socialism market economy theory, Chinese university education have changed a lot. Main conclusions were summarized as follows. First, to exert university's self-determination, University management system was changed. More and more rights and freedoms of operating university were given to universities which were originally controlled by central and local government. With that, universities were cheered to develop extensively based on its ability. Second, efforts to fit market economy were observed. It reflects in all aspects, such as systems of university financing, operating, admission and graduation of students. Third, professor competition system was adopted to promote professors enthusiasm. Forth, to survival in hot competition among universities, differentiation policy was applied. In brief, it could be said that rapid developments of Chinese university education have achieved recently. However, problems such as universities are still under supervision of central and local government: expand of university scale rather than education quality was focused on: limit of investment to university: lack of legal protection for finical supporting: lack of university democratization were still remain. It was expected that these problems will be solved in future university reforms.

  • The Social Economy including social enterprise is solving various social problems of our society by innovative business Nevertheless, social economic companies have limited investment ingrowth due to insufficient capital. There are various attempts to solve the limit of capital investment by social finance. Social iImpact bonds that introduced performance-based compensation into financial system is recognized as a new means of procuring that capital lacks. 89 social impact bonds were issued in 19 countries around the world. )f the 22 social impact bonds reporting performance, 21 bonds report positive performance. The twelve bonds paid incentives to investors. It can be said that the government provides incentives to review the issuance of social impact bonds at the government level, which is difficult to expand the social welfare budget. This study confirmed the performance of the social impact bonds and confirmed the possibility of introducing it in korea. There is a limit to continuously increasing the government's social expenditure to meet demand. Therefore, in order to support the growth of social economy based on private investment, the issuing of social impact bonds should create a virtuous circle of social financial market.

  • The decline in the construction industry has led to a decrease the profitability of small and medium-sized landscape contractors. To relieve this situation, small and medium-sized landscape contractors have continued to proactively find ways to enter global construction markets. However, many small and medium-sized landscape contractors face risks due to their lack of capacity and insufficient preparations to extend the business abroad. Thus, this study aims to analyze the current condition of the Vietnamese construction market and the related risk factors. It then suggests strategies to improve the small and medium-sized landscape contractors' competitiveness in that market. We investigated the business climate and analyzed risk factors. Finally, we developed expansion strategies and conducted in-depth interviews with six overseas construction professionals. The study results first showed that efforts to improve infrastructure and the increased demand for housing in Vietnam will lead to more opportunities for small and medium-sized landscape contractors entering the Vietnamese construction market. However, changes in the Vietnamese business climate may act as a variable. Second, we found that small and medium-sized landscape contractors' risk factors are mainly related to laws and regulations, government finance, market fluctuations, public administration system, minimum wage increases, financing and bonds, contracting, trees and materials, and design errors. Finally, small and medium-sized landscape contractors are required to consider the following when seeking to enter the Vietnamese construction market: short-term strategy and mid-to-long-term strategy. This study will be used as the basis for small and medium-sized landscape contractors to plan to enter the Vietnamese construction market and to contribute to the expansion of the global construction market in the landscape industry.

  • One of the advantages of BOT PF(Project Finance) is the government can be protected from risks involved in projects as the private finances, builds, and operates relevant projects. Moreover, the private may avoid outstanding responsibility in case of default thanks to BOT PF's unique financial structure and characteristics. However, despite increasing attention on risk mitigation effect of financial structure and characteristic of BOT PF to default risk with emerging controversies of capital crunch, introduction of IFRS, and contingent liabilities, valuation of default risk mitigation effect caused by financial structure and characteristics of BOT PF still seems sophisticated due to uncertain cash flows, complexly layered contracts, and their interaction. So, this paper is to show the theoretical frame to assess the default risk mitigation effect of financial structure and characteristic of BOT PF with option pricing and related financial economic theories and to provide some meaningful implications. Finally, this research shows that the financial structure and characteristics of BOT PF help mitigate the default risk and default risk mitigation effect increases as change of relevant variables on financial feasibility gets the BOT project less financially feasible.

  • Cloud computing helps big data processing to make various information using IT resources. The government has to start the RPS(Renewable Portfolio Standard) and induce the production of electricity using renewable energy equipment. And the government manages system to gather big data that is distributed geographically. The companies can purchase the REC(Renewable Energy Certificate) to other electricity generation companies to fill shortage among their duty from the system. Because of the RPS use voluntary competitive market in REC trade and the prices have the large variation, RPS is necessary to predict the equitable REC price using RPS big data. This paper proposed REC price prediction method base on fuzzy logic using the price trend and trading condition infra in REC market, that is modeled in cloud computing environment. Cloud computing helps to analyze correlation and variables that act on REC price within RPS big data and the analysis can be predict REC price by simulation. Fuzzy logic presents balanced REC average trading prices using the trading quantity and price. The model presents REC average trading price using the trading quantity and price and the method helps induce well-converged price in the long run in cloud computing environment.

  • The present study attempts to build a decision making model for social enterprise investment. The proposed model includes four factors; social compatibility, growth, profitability, stability, and organizational suitability. Thirteen social enterprise investors were requested to rate the importance of each of the four factors when they make investment decisions. Financial stability (25.8%) and social compatibility(25.7%) turned out to be most important followed by profitability(17.5%) and growth(17.1%). Organizational suitability(13.9%) was least important. This study uncovered the first empirical factors for social enterprise investment decision making in the early stage of exploratory research. In practice, also provided several implications to social entrepreneurs, investors and policy makers.
