A Study on the Mobile-based Learning Environment Using English Vocabulary Learning Game (영어 어휘 학습 게임을 이용한 모바일 기반 학습 환경에 관한 연구)

  • For its maximum impact on the scene of school as the educational equipment, it is necessary to understand equipmental characteristics of PDA and study the basis for utilizing it educationally. In this point of view, to inquire how PDA is helpful for education more than PC, the typical educational equipment in the past, PDA-based English vocabulary learning game is developed in this study, and after that it is applied on the scene of education. The result of study showed PDA can access the content more easily than PC, and learners expressed more curiosity and expectation of PDA than PC in a recent poll. In addition, under the condition of learner's voluntary use, the present study has found that learning with PDA is helpful to enhance the academic achievement more than one with PC.

  • In this paper, We evaluated students' computational thinking in elementary school for SW education. Also, we analyzed on the difference of students' computational thinking according to the level of school's educational information. As a result, We confirmed that students' computational thinking were deferent according to the experience of schoolmaster's SW education and the ICT infra of school. In particular, students' computational thinking were meaningfully deferent according to the SW education experience of schoolmaster, the number of mobile devices for education and the speed of school network. Accordingly, we proposed the policy to heighten the effect of SW education. The policy were the extension of SW education for teacher, school network infra and mobile device for education.

  • The rapid development of information & communication technology has changed the paradigm of education. Recently the area of education is introducing u-Learning, in which learning is possible at any time and in any place through personal information devices such as PDA, tablet PC and mobile phone terminals. Taking advantage of the mobility and individuality of personal information devices, u-Learning can provide learning customized to the characteristics of individual learners without the limitations of time and space and can be effective in situational learning and experiential learning. In order to identify the uses of PDA in teaching.learning and to develop a basic teachinglearning model using PDA, the present study applied PDA directly to classes and examined the effects. According to the result, most students were satisfied with classes utilizing PDA but problems were also found in connection, insufficient contents for PDA, the quality of screen, etc.

  • Considering the recent trend highlighting the importance of STEAM education, the purpose of this study is to develop scientific research activities and STEAM technology material using the smart device sensor. Drawing a picture on a map with GPS drawing application which contains elements such as IT, geographic information, sports and arts, we intent not just to install a smartphone application but also to get synergic effects and help with real cartography and geographic classes which are not experienced in the middle school curriculum, by using the functions of a smart device. Through the development of STEAM teaching material, we intended to provide a clear direction towards advancement by developing creative teaching data and teaching models which encourage students to improve their interest and creativity in science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics.

  • This paper examines the necessity and direction of digital literacy education as university education in the AI era. Digital literacy can be considered universal education about everyday culture in a digital environment, and its scope is expanding to cultivate the competencies necessary for citizens of a digital society, rather than simply the ability to use digital devices. In this paper, the university liberal arts curriculum has strengthened the information literacy area to reflect the changes of the times, but it is presented as a problem that it is still focused on the technical aspects of learning how to use digital devices and specific programs. It was suggested that the direction of digital literacy education in universities should not be limited to the technical and instrumental aspects of using digital devices, but that it would be desirable to focus on digital ethics considering the social impacts that may arise from the use of digital devices.

  • 본 논문은 모바일 기기인 스마트폰이 교육환경을 바꾸고 있는 현실에 착안하여 대학 수업에 필요한 몇 가지 방안을 제시하였다. 모바일 기기인 스마트폰은 휴대성과 신속성이 강하기 때문에 컴퓨터와 노트북이 갖는 불편한 점을 보완할 수 있다. 그렇기에 스마트폰은 교육적 활용도가 높다. 먼저 교수는 수업 전에 학생들이 카카오톡을 가입해서 활동할 수 있게 한다. 예컨대 단체 카톡방, 조별 카톡방을 운영해서 공지사항을 올리고 학생들과 소통해야 한다. 때로는 개별 카톡방을 운용하면서 학생들에게 필요한 정보와 상담을 제공할 수 있어야 한다. 또한 학생들은 주어진 과제를 수행하기 위해서 조별 카톡방을 적극 활용해야 한다. 이는 학생들이 조별 카톡방을 통해 과제를 수행하는 과정에서 발생하는 시간과 공간의 제약을 극복하게 해주기 때문이다.

  • 스마트 기기 사용자가 급증하면서 애플리케이션의 수도 급격히 많아지고 있다. 다양한 종류의 교육용 애플리케이션이 많이 개발되어 졌지만 외국인을 위한 한국어 교육 애플리케이션의 수는 매우 적다. 이에 본 논문은 외국인 사용자가 한국어를 학습할 수 있는 애플리케이션을 설계 구현하였다. 한국어 어휘능력이 부족한 외국인을 주 대상으로 단어와 예문 및 시각적인 요소인 이미지와 청각적인 요소인 듣기를 결합하여 학습 효과를 극대화시킴으로써 효과적인 어휘능력의 향상을 목표로 구현하였다.
