마찰 용접기의 개발과 적용

  • 마찰용접은 접합하려는 재료를 접촉시켜 일정 압력과 동시에 회전 운동을 가하여 접촉면간에 마찰열을 발생시켜 재료가 충분한 온도에 도달될 때 회전운동을 급정지하고 최종압력을 가하여 접합시키는 방법이다. 국내에서는 지금까지 확인된 자료에 의하면 총 보유대수 20대중 자동차 부품 생산에 12대, 연구용 3대, 기타 5대로서 대부분 자동차부품 생사에 투입되고 있으며, 앞으로 부품류 생산에도 적용가능성이 높음을 확인하였다. 그러나 국내 자동차산업은 발전 유망업종이 되고 있을뿐더러 엔화 상승으로 인한 부품의국산화 대책이 활발히 논의되고 있어서, 국내 산업 발전을 위해서는 마찰용접기의 국산화 및 마찰용접의 기업화 적용에 대한 연구가 시급한 실정 이다.

  • 광자 크리스탈의 밴드 구조가 다른 물질이 접하는 경계면으로 구성되는 이종 접합 구조(Heteorostructure)는 단일 구조에서 관찰할 수 없는 특성을 보유하고 있으므로 관심을 끌고 있다. 이를 이용한 다 파장 add-drop 필터, 2D-3D 하이브리드 구조에 의한 무 회절 손실 도파로, beam splitter와 combiner 등의 연구 결과가 최근에 제시되었다. 본 논문에서는 positive 굴절율과 negative 굴절율을 갖는 광자 크리스탈이 이종 접합 구조를 형성할 때의 굴절 작용의 변화를 실린더의 반지름 변화에 따라 고찰하였다.   • When a crack meets bimaterial interface stress singularity depends on the elastic constants of the adjacent materials. In the present study we are going to describe the finite element formulation for problems with a crack to be embedded in the stiffer material$({\mu}_2/{\mu}_1)$. The cubic isoparametric singular element, represented by adequately shifting the mid-side nodes adjacent to the crack tip is constructed to enclose the crack tip. An alternative method to obtain the optimal position of the mid-side nodes of cubic isoparametric elements is presented. In addition, a proper definition for the stress intensity factors of a crack normal to bimaterial interface is provided. It is based upon near a tip displacement solutions. Models for numerical analysis are two dimensional elastic bodies with a through crack under plain strain. The results obtained are compared with the previous solutions.

  • This study presented an modeling method for the connections in mixed structure with reinforced concrete columns and steel beam using finite element method. The contacting surfaces between concrete and steel are modeled using master-slave contact algorithm and the incompatible mode elements were used in the steel tube subjected to bending. The characteristics of mixed structure was that diaphragm was used for transferring force from beam to column. The three dimensional nonlinear analysis was performed and the analytical results compared with experimental results in order to prove modeling method.

Boundary Element Analysis of a Crack Normal at the Bondline of Two Dissimilar Materials (서로 다른 두 재료의 접합면에 수직인 균열의 경계요소 해석)

  • In the particular situations where the crack is terminated at an interface of two materials, the order of stress singularity depends on the elastic constants which specify the properties of two materials. A multidomain boundary element technique is used to solve a crack normal to bimaterial interface. A correct order of shape function is used for displacement by using the isoparametric elements by shifting adequately the side nodes adjacent to this crack tip. A shape function containing the same order of singularity as that in the interface crack is also used for the interpolation of traction. Numerical testing of a binaterial with a crack normal to the interface is carried out with three-node elements. The results obtained are compared with the previous solutions.

  • In this paper, novel device structure in order to realize ultra fast and ultra small silicon devices are investigated using ultra-high vacuum chemical vapor deposition(UHVCVD) and Excimer Laser Annealing (ELA) for ultra pn junction formation. Based on these fundamental technologies for the deep sub-micron device, high speed and low power devices can be fabricated. These junction formation technologies based on damage-free process for replacing of low energy ion implantation involve solid phase diffusion and vapor phase diffusion. As a result, ultra shallow junction depths by ELA are analyzed to 10~20 nm for arsenic dosage (2$\times$10$^{14}$ $\textrm{cm}^2$), excimer laser source(λ=248nm) is KrF, and sheet resistances are measured to 1k$\Omega$/$\square$ at junction depth of 15nm.

측정방법에 따른 Recessed 1T-DRAM의 메모리 특성

  • 최근 반도체 칩의 트랜지스터 집적화 기술이 발달됨에 따라 dynamic random access memory(DRAM)의 memory cell 영역을 작게 만들어야 하는 문제가 제기되고 있다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해서 대체 기술이 끊임없이 연구되고 있는 가운데 하나의 트랜지스터와 하나의 캐패시터로 구성된 기존의 DRAM에서 캐패시터가 없이 하나의 트랜지스터만으로 이루어진 1T-DRAM 소자의 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 이는 기존 DRAM의 구조에 비해 캐패시터가 필요하지 않아 복잡한 공정이 줄어들어 소자 제작이 용이하며, 더 높은 집적도를 구현할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 일반적인 planar 타입의 1T-DRAM의 경우 소스 및 드레인과 기판과의 접합면에서 누설 전류가 큰 특징을 가지며 소자의 집적화에 따른 단 채널 효과가 발생하게 되는데, 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해서 유효 채널 길이를 늘려 단 채널 효과에 의한 영향을 감소시키고, 소스 및 드레인과 기판과의 접합면을 줄여 누설 전류를 줄일 수 있는 recessed 채널 타입의 1T-DRAM을 제작하였다. 1T-DRAM의 메모리 구동방법에는 여러 가지가 있는데 본 연구에서는 impact ionization (II)을 이용한 방법과 gate induced drain leakage (GIDL)을 이용한 방법을 사용하여 1T-DRAM의 채널구조에 따라 어떠한 구동방법이 더 적합한지 평가하였고, 그 결과 recessed 채널 1T-DRAM의 동작은 II 에 의한 측정 방법이 더 적합한 것으로 보여졌다.

Shear Strength of Interface between Natural Aggregate Concrete and Recycled Aggregate Concrete (천연골재 콘크리트와 순환골재 콘크리트 접합면의 전단강도)

  • Concrete recycling is becoming mandatory rather selective due to depletion of constructional materials and increase of concrete waste. Studies on recycling concrete are conducted in various point of view for long time. However, standard or guideline of many countries for the application of recycled aggregate concrete(RAC) has restrictions such as low replacement rate of coarse aggregate and no fine aggregate allowed due to inferior material properties of recycled aggregate. This study intends to figure out the feasibility of casting natural aggregate concrete(NAC) and RAC separately in a structural member. In making RAC, replacement rate of coarse aggregate was 50, 100% in RAC and treatment of interface of two concretes is introduced. RAC treatment of recycled aggregate or inclusion of additives was not done as it can increase embodied energy of concrete work. Double-shear test with uniformly distributed loading was adopted to evaluate shear strength at the interface of two concretes. After curing it was hard to distinguish interface of two concretes. Experimental result revealed that specimen with higher replacement rate showed higher shear-to-compressive strength ratio, which is possibly attributed to coarse aggregate size and roughness of sheared section. Further study on the effect of various parameters is required and subsequent research activity is on-going.

Investigation of Twin Vortices in Turbulent Compound Open-Channel Flows using DNS Data (DNS 자료를 이용한 복단면 개수로에서 쌍와(雙渦)에 관한 연구)

  • The present paper presents a direct numerical simulation of turbulent flows in a compound open-channel. Mean flows and turbulence structures are provided, and they are compared with the numerical data and measured data available in the literature. The simulated results show that twin vortices are generated near the juncture of the main channel and the floodplain and their maximum magnitude is about 5% of bulk streamwise velocity. At the juncture, the simulated wall shear stress becomes the maximum unlike the experimental data. A quadrant analysis shows that both sweeps and ejections become the main contributor to production of Reynolds shear stresses. A conditional quadrant analysis reveals that the directional tendency of dominant coherent structures determines the production of Reynolds shear stress and the pattern of twin vortices.

Finite Element Analysis for the Failure Mode of Welded Flange-Bolted Web Connection (Welded Flange-Bolted Web 강접합부의 파괴모드 추정을 위한 유한요소해석)

  • In spite of 6.8 magnitude and the neighborhood of the epicenter, the steel moment frame survived after Northridge earthquake without collapse or casualties. However, following investigation revealed that there were severe damages at the column-weld interface of welded flange-bolted web (WFBW) steel moment connection, which was believed to be economic and safe from earthquakes based on experience and past tests. In this paper, this unexpected brittle fracture of the steel moment connection is explored using linear elastic fracture mechanics and post-Northridge tests. A method to predict the brittle fracture strength of the steel moment connection is proposed. Using this method, the failure mode of the WFBW connection and reduced beam section (RBS) connection are presented.
