A Study on Estimating Level-of-Service for Pedestrian Facilities (보행자 시설 서비스 수준 산정에 관한 연구)

  • 본 연구는 보행자 시설 중 계단과 대기공간에 대해 공학적으로 합리적인 분석방법을 제공하고 이를 통해 안전하고 편리한 보행시설의 제공을 도모하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 본 연구를 위해 계단과 대기공간에 대한 외국의 조사방법과 분석방법을 참조, 비교하여 서비스 수준 결정기준을 정하고 용량 값을 산출하여 우리나라 현실에 맞는 적정한 설계기준을 산출하기 위해 노력하였다. 계단의 경우 효과척도로 보행 교통량을 그리고 대기공간에 있어서는 1인당 점유면적을 사용하였다. 현장 조사 결과 계단에서의 보행량은 보행자가 군을 형성했을 경우와 그렇지 않은 경우 최대 보행량에 차이가 나는 것을 고려하여 보행자 군의 형성 여부에 따라 서비스 수준의 기준을 다르게 제시하였으며, 대기공간의 경우에는 1인당 점유면적을 한국인의 평균체형을 기준으로 하여 서비스 수준의 기준을 제시하였다. 계단과 대기공간에 있어서 이러한 조사와 분석을 통해 산출된 결과는 외국의 경우와 다른 값을 나타내는데, 계단에 있어서는 실질적으로 이용할 수 있는 유효계단 폭에 따라 최대 보행 교통량의 타이가 크게 나타났으며, 대기공간의 경우에는 한사람이 점유 할 수 있는 용량상태에서의 공간이 0.2$m^2$/인으로 외국의 경우보다 적게 나타난다.

  • 한반도 고유 식물자원인 특산식물 물들메나무의 지리학적 분포 범위에 대한 고찰을 시도 하였으며, 이를 바탕으로 IUCN 적색목록 평가 자료 확보를 위해 IUCN Red List Criteria B의 분포범위(Extent of occurrence)와 점유면적(Area of occupancy)을 측정하였다. 물들메나무 분포도 작성을 위해 분포가 언급된 관련 문헌자료, 국립수목원 표본관(KH) 소장 표본정보, 국가생물종지식정보시스템(Nature) 종발생정보 DB, 그리고 현장조사 자료를 활용하였다. 이를 통해 한반도 특산식물 물들메나무는 지리산을 중심으로 전라남 북도, 경상남 북도 및 충청북도에 분포하고 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 북방한계지역은 경상북도 보현산으로 추정된다. 수집된 분포정보를 바탕으로 IUCN Red List Criteria B의 분포범위(Extent of occurrence)과 점유면적(Area of occupancy)을 계산한 결과 각각 $25,183km^2$, $96km^2$로 나타났다. 하지만 정확한 보전지위 평가를 위해서는 점유면적, 분포범위, 서식지 면적, 개체군 크기에 대한 지속적인 하락과 극단적인 변동을 측정할 수 있는 모니터링과 객관적인 자료가 요구된다.

Design of a 64×64-Bit Modified Booth Multiplier Using Current-Mode CMOS Quarternary Logic Circuits (전류모드 CMOS 4치 논리회로를 이용한 64×64-비트 변형된 Booth 곱셈기 설계)

  • This paper proposes a $64{\times}64$ Modified Booth multiplier using CMOS multi-valued logic circuits. The multiplier based on the radix-4 algorithm is designed with current mode CMOS quaternary logic circuits. Designed multiplier is reduced the transistor count by 64.4% compared with the voltage mode binary multiplier. The multiplier is designed with Samsung $0.35{\mu}m$ standard CMOS process at a 3.3V supply voltage and unit current $5{\mu}m$. The validity and effectiveness are verified through the HSPICE simulation. The voltage mode binary multiplier is achieved the occupied area of $7.5{\times}9.4mm^2$, the maximum propagation delay time of 9.8ns and the average power consumption of 45.2mW. This multiplier is achieved the maximum propagation delay time of 11.9ns and the average power consumption of 49.7mW. The designed multiplier is reduced the occupied area by 42.5% compared with the voltage mode binary multiplier.

Assessing Red List categories to a Korean endangered species based on IUCN criteria - Hanabusaya asiatica (Nakai) Nakai- (멸종위기식물의 IUCN 적색목록 보전지위 평가 -금강초롱꽃에 대하여-)

  • The conservation status of an endemic perennial herb, Hanabusaya asiatica (Nakai) Nakai (Campanulaceae) was determined by applying the IUCN risk assessment criteria from our field study and available specimen data. Also, the GIS technology was used to develop a species distribution map to calculate the extent of occurrence (EOO) and area of occupancy (AOO) for the taxon. After two years of continuous field studies, 269 mature individuals were found in four localities in 2011, while 216 mature individuals were confirmed in three localities in 2012. Based on the following data, such as EOO (2,742 $km^2$), AOO (76 $km^2$) and estimated population size of mature individuals, the taxon, which is known as 20 localities in Korean peninsula, is evaluated as the category of Endangered (EN). A major difficulty in application of IUCN criteria to Korean rare plants were the lack of essential biological information and understanding the correct knowledge of the IUCN criteria in previous Korean studies. Sound conclusions regarding the conservation status of individual species require more intensive population studies, observations, and applying IUCN assessment procedures correctly.

A Study on the Maxwell Displacement Current in Monolayer of L-α-Dilauryl phosphatidylcholine on the Water Surface (수면상에서 L-α-Dilauryl phosphatidylcholine 단분자층의 맥스웰 변위전류에 관한 연구)

  • We applied a displacement current measurement technique for the study of L-${\alpha}$-dilauryl phosphatidylcholine (DLPC) monolayer. Displacement current was generated at the DLPC monolayer on the water surface, while induced by compression and expansion of the monolayer. Generation of Maxwell displacement current (MDC) was observed when surface areas per DLPC molecule were approximately $200{\AA}^2$ and $40{\AA}^2$. We investigated MDC for monolayer compression cycles, and found that MDC reached the maximum at the molecular area, which was measured right before surface pressure began to increase during compression cycles. The monolayer surface morphology of Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) films was characterized using atomic force microscope (AFM). As a result, we measured the result from the microscopic properties shown in the AFM images of LB films that molecules in the monolayer were in good orientations and the thickness of the monolayer ranged from 5 to 10 nm.

Design of the Modified Wilkinson Power Divider Using Coupling and Inductive Slit (결합 특성과 유도성 슬릿을 이용한 새로운 구조의 Wilkinson 전력분배기 설계)

  • In this paper, we have designed and fabricated a new type power divider to be efficient to a size and electrical performance by folding each quarter-wavelength 70.7 Ω section into a tightly-coupled "meander-line" and inserting a slit. In this type, because of coupling, the electrical phase of quarter -wavelength line and the performance change. For this reason, with the inductive slit and the tuning of quarter-wavelength line length, we have compensated for those. The inductance value of the inserted slit is decided by its width and depth, therefore, we could improve the electrical performance through optimization of inductance. Input and output return losses of the designed power divider were -34.2 dB, -34.3 dB respectively, and isolation was -36.7 dB at 1.75 GHz. Besides, a new design approach reduced occupied substrate area by 3:1 approximately.

An Improved LOS Analysis Method for Pedestrian Walkways Using Pedestrian Space (보행 점유공간을 이용한 보행자도로 서비스수준 분석방법론 개선 연구)

  • This study describes an improved model for estimating pedestrian LOS (Level of Service) by utilizing the space occupied by pedestrians. The method introduced the concept of conflict along the bi-directional pedestrian flow which enables calculating conflict area and average travel time in walking. Especially, the method incorporates the idea of generalized density concept which can consider effective walking area and pedestrian flow rates that might vary during the analysis period. After establishing methodology, adjustments of pedestrian LOS criteria in term of walking space occupied by pedestrians were performed. As a result, walking-occupied space at capacity level is 0.68 and corresponding pedestrian flow rate was calculated as 80 persons/min/m, while different pedestrian-occupied spaces were ordered to classify LOS at the points where the gradient changes. Furthermore, the statistical verification of service levels has shown that there is significant difference among all LOS categories at 5% significance level.

  • This paper describes a new low-swing inverter for low power consumption. To reduce a power consumption, an output voltage swing is in the range from 0 to VDD-2VTH. This can be done by the inverter structure that allow a full swing or a swing on its input terminal without leakage current. Using this low-swing voltage technology, we proposed a low-power 16$\times$16 bit parallel multiplier. The proposed circuits are designed with Samsung 0.35$\mu$m standard CMOS process at a 3.3V supply voltage. The validity and effectiveness are verified through the HSPICE simulation.. Compared to the previous works, this circuit can reduce the power consumption rate of 17.3% and the power-delay product of 16.5%.
