  • 웹서비스의 보안정책은 전송계층과 어플리케이션 계층 두 부분에 적용되고 있으며, 분산 어플리케이션간 통신을 할 경우 데이터에 대한 암호화와 인증처리가 가장 중요한 부분이 될 것이다. 본 논문에서 제안한 시스템은 웹서비스 작업에서 클라이언트의 요청을 XML 서명 후 전송하여 요청을 받은 서버측에서 응답을 하기 전 정당한 클라이언트인가를 검증하는 단계를 거친다. 이렇게 함으로써 웹서비스 환경에서의 SOAP을 이용한 메시지계층 보안을 한층 강화시키려는 목적이다.

An ABR Rate Control Scheme Considering Wireless Channel Characteristics in the Wireless ATM Network (무선 ATM망에서 무선채널의 특성을 고려한 ABR 전송률 제어 방안)

  • Retransmissions on the DLC layer are essential to ABR service providing the low CLR (cell loss ratio) over the unreliable wireless channel with high bit error rate. In the wireless ATM, the DLC layer below ATM layer performs the retransmission and reordering of the cells to recover the cell loss over the wireless channel and by doing so, the effect of the wireless channel characteristics with high bit error rate can be minimized on the ATM layer which is designed under the assumption of the low bit error rate. We propose, in this paper, the schemes to reflect the changes of the transmission rate over the wireless channel on the ABR rate control. Proposed scheme can control the source rate to the changes of the transmission rate over the wireless channel and reduce the required buffer size in the AP (access point). In the simulation, we assume that the DLC layer can inform the ATM layer of the wireless channel quality as good or bad. Our simulation results show that the proposed schemes require the smaller buffer size compared with the existing scheme, enhanced dynamic max rate control algorithm (EDMRCA). It is also shown that the scheme with the intelligent DLC which adjusts the rate to the wireless channel quality not only provides the low CLR with smaller buffer requirement but also improves the throughput by utilizing the wireless bandwidth more efficiently.

  • Relay system is a promising technique for the high downlink throughput or coverage extension in the next generation wireless systems. In this paper, the transmit scheme for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) based relay system with hierarchical modulation is designed. Without using much power from the base station, the proposed scheme can guarantee the cell edge users to get high data rates as the inner cell users. In the simulation, the performance of proposed scheme was compared with the conventional one in which there is no hierarchical modulation. Numerical results show that the proposed scheme can save much power whether the unicast case or multicast case.

  • Wireless Sensor Networks(WSNs) has been used for various applications. It is optimized to low power operation than various function and transmission reliability because of limited power by batteries. but it is necessary to guarantee of reliability for using exact data for more diversity purpose. In WSNs environment composed by multi-hop, it is guarantee to end-to-end transmission reliability based hop-by-hop reliability. however, IEEE 802.15.4 standard is not consider link-layer reliability. in this paper, we propose energy efficient Reliable Link-layer Protocol for Wireless Sensor Networks.

  • Recnetly, the demands of QoS(Quality of Service) and the traffic in network is increased. So, H-MPLS(Hierarchical MPLS) network research what guarantees the scalability is in progress. But, the H-MPLS has a problem of increasing of groups and the links of these group's nodes. It happens a problem that is increasing of H-MPLS setup cost. In this paper, We setup the H-MPLS groups. We use NS simulator in order to analyze the performance and traffic transfer times of each H-MPLS groups. In conclusion, we can find out the elevation of the traffic performance, by increasing a amount of links.

  • 대용량 콘텐츠에 대한 관심이 증가함에 따라 지상파 방송의 전송용량을 증가시키기 위한 다양한 노력들이 시도되고 있다. 미국의 표준화 단체인 Advance Television Systems Committee(ATSC)에서는 초고화질의 데이터 전송이 가능하고 동시에 HD급 이동방송 서비스가 가능한 차세대 방송방식인 ATSC 3.0의 표준화 완료를 목표로 현재 막바지 작업을 진행하고 있다. 본고에서는 ATSC 3.0으로 불리는 ATSC 차세대 방송방식의 물리계층에 대한 표준화 동향과 ATSC 3.0 물리계층의 한 축을 담당하고 있는 프레임 동기를 위한 부트스트랩, Constellation 및 Layered Division Multiplexing(LDM) 기술에 대해 살펴보고, 물리계층의 획기적인 전송용량 증대 기법인 Multiple Input Multiple Output(MIMO) 기술에 대해 정리하고자 한다.

  • 멀티미디어 서비스를 제공하는 미래의 이동통신 시스템에서는 데이터의 신뢰성 있는 전송을 위해 물리 계층에서 제공하는 프레임 에러율을 감소시켜야한다. 이를 위해 라디오링크프로토콜(RLP : radio link protocol) 계층에서는 ARQ(automatic repeat request)기법을 사용한다. 본 논문에서는 멀티미디어 서비스를 제공하는 차세대 이동통신 시스템에 적용될수 있는 새로운 SR(Selective repeat) ARQ 기법을 제안하고 그 성능을 분석한다. 제안하는 SR 기법은 재전송이 반복될수록 NAK(negative acknowledge)수와 재전송 프레임수를 지수적으로 (exponentially)증가시킴으로써 프레임손실확률을 감소시킨다. 또한 제안한 SR 기법의 성능을 기존의 전형적인 SR 기법 및 IS-707의 SR 기법과 비교하였다. 비교결과, 제안한 SR 기법은 프레임 손실 확률과 프레임 전송지연 측면에서 다른 두 비교대상 Sr 기법들에 비해 더 나은 성능을 제공한다.

A Selective Layer Discard Algorithm for Stored Video Delivery over Resource Constrained Networks (자원 제약이 있는 네트워크에서 저장 비디오 데이터의 효율적인 전송을 위한 선택적 계층삭제 알고리즘)

  • Video delivery from a server to a client across a network system is an important part of many multimedia applications. Usually, the network system has constraint in both the amount of network bandwidth and the buffer size in the client. While delivering a video stream across such a constrained network system, loss of frames may be unavoidable. The system resources consumed by the dropped frames are wasted, and the losses of frames would result in discontinuous display at the client. In this paper, for delivering hierarchically encoded video stream, we introduce the notion of selective layer discard algorithm at the server which not only preemptively discards data at the server but also drops less important part of a frame instead of the entire frame. By the simulation, we compare the proposed selective layer discard algorithm and the existing selective frame discard algorithm. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm may improve the quality of decoded video, and decrease the replay discontinuity at the client.

  • Recently mobile broadcast standards that have IP layer between transport layer and service layer such as DVB-IPDC, OMA-BCAST have been commercialized. Specially, IP abstract layer of OMA-BCAST makes it possible to interface diverse transport layers. Service guide, that is important for user interface, of these mobile broadcast standards has complex structure and heterogeneous schema. ESG schema is not interoperable, therefore terminals should have various implementations of service layer to support more than one service layer at a time. In this paper, not only for enabling interoperability of DVB-IPDC and OMA-BCAST but for supporting basic scenarios of mobile broadcast, simple ESG schema was developed. This new schema can be used as an independent ESG schema, especially for the integrated mobile broadcast middleware environment.

  • In the transmission of image using the lossless Laplacian pyramid coding, the image quality of the last hierachy is almost same regardless of the bit rate of each hierachy. However, at the higher hierachy with low resolution, it is varied according to bit rate of each hierachy. In this paper, optimum bit allocation to achieve better image at the higher hierachy and minimize the distortion at the last hierachy was proposed. More efficient progressive transmission was shown to be possible by experimental results of higher PSNR and better image quality at the hierachy with low resolution.
