National research and development(R&D) information is information generated in the process of performing R&D based on programs and projects issued by national government departments, and includes information from various research fields as ordered by various departments. Therefore, for efficient R&D information retrieval, it is necessary to build a national R&D terminology dictionary that can reflect the characteristics of such national R&D information. In this study, we propose a method for constructing a national R&D terminology dictionary by applying the classification of science and technology standards used to specify the research field in national R&D information. We will discuss the structural characteristics of national R&D project information and the usefulness of the project keyword, and explain the status of national R&D information by the National Standard Science and Technology Classification(NSSTC) Codes and the characteristics of the national R&D terminologies. Based on this, a method for building a national R&D terminology dictionary is defined in terms of the type and structure of the terminology dictionary, preliminary construction procedures, and refining rules. The national R&D terminology dictionary built on the basis of this study can be used in various ways such as expansion of search terms using Korean-English equivalent words and synonyms when searching national R&D information, clarifying the scope of search using NSSTC, and providing user convenience functions using term explanation information.

The trend of seeking knowledge or information has been increasingly shifting towards the digital implementation on the web rather than relying on analog printed media such as books or publications. This shift is driven by the perception that using digital resources, particularly digital dictionaries, is more effective and time-saving compared to traditional paper dictionaries. Consequently, the construction of a semantic network for vocabulary has emerged as a significant issue for linguists, computational linguists, and natural language processing specialists. To address this, linguists have conducted numerous studies to find methods for structuring and classifying the meanings and concepts of vocabulary. In these studies, specialized terminology for constructing vocabulary semantic networks is as crucial as common language. However, in the process of finding and accumulating specialized terminology, there is still a manual step where individuals directly verify and extract specialized terms from paper documents or vast digital datasets. In this paper, we propose an automated program to extract the specialized terms that users desire from digital materials, aiming to compensate for errors in human-operated tasks and streamline the process.

The rapid response of disaster accidents can be archived through the organical involvement of various disaster and safety control agencies. To define the terminology of disaster safety is essential for communication between disaster safety agencies and well as announcement for the public. Also, to efficiently construct a word dictionary of disaster safety terminology, it's necessary to define the priority of the terms. In order to establish direction of word dictionary construction, this paper compares the usage of disaster safety terminology by media: word dictionary, new media, and social media, respectively. Based on the terminology resources collected from each media, we visualized the distribution of terminology according to frequency weights and analyzed co-occurrence patterns. We also classified the types of terminology into four categories and proposed the priority in the construction of disaster safety word dictionary.

자연언어 질의 문장으로부터 검색어로 사용될 질의어의 추출 및 질의어 가중치를 계산하기 위하여 질의 문장들의 유형을 분석하였으며, 질의어 구문의 특성에 따라 용어들의 가중치를 계산하는 방법을 제안하였다. 용어의 가중치를 부여할 때 띄어쓴 복합명사와 접속 관계 등에 의해 연결된 명사구는 질의어 가중치를 동등하게 적용할 필요가 있다. 질의 문장에서 가중치가 동등하게 적용되는 명사구를 인식하기 위한 목적으로 구현된 명사구 chunking을 수행한 후에 각 용어들에 대한 질의어 가중치를 계산한다. 질의어 가중치를 계산하기 위하여 용어의 유형, 질의 구문의 특성, 문서 유형을 지칭하는 용어, 조사 유형, 용어의 길이 등에 따라 가중치를 조절하는 방법을 사용한다. 용어유형에 의한 가중치 계산은 추출된 용어의 품사 정보와 전문 용어 사전, 부사성 명사 사전을 이용하였다.

전문용어는 사전, 시소러스 및 온톨로지를 비롯한 다양한 기반지식자원에서 사용되고 있으며, 해당분야 발전에 민감하게 반응하는 특징을 가진다. 그럼에도 불구하고, 용어를 생명주기 관점에서 바라보고 이를 효율적으로 사용할 수 있도록 하는 연구가 부족하다. 본 논문에서는 한정된 인적${\cdot}$물적 자원을 효율적으로 사용할 수 있도록 가까운 미래에도 유용한 용어들을 선정하고 관리하기 위한 방안으로서 용어지배값 (TDV; Term Dominance Value)을 제안한다. 이를 통해 용어 생명주기의 각 단계를 생성, 성장, 유지, 쇠퇴, 소멸, 재생 등으로 정의함으로써 관리해야 할 대상 용어를 명확히 할 수 있도록 한다. 용어지배값과 Coverage와의 관계 실험을 통해 유망한 용어들을 선정하고 관리해야 하는 당위성을 보여준다.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the terms used in the Information Boards of Geosites at Jeonbuk West Coast National Geopark. Among the terms used in the Information Boards, nouns were extracted and listed based on the Standard Korean Language Dictionary, a glossary of earth and the data for the development of textbooks according to the 2015 revision of curriculum, by which eight types were classified. Seventy-one nouns (10.8%) of the extracted terms were not listed in any glossary. Most of these terms were compound words derived by combining [noun]+[noun] or [noun]+[affix] so that they were not easy to comprehend. In addition, two hundred fifty-six nouns (46%) of the terms were identified as jargons used in specific disciplines. Therefore, it is strongly suggested that when creating the National Geopark Information Boards, the academic jargon embedded terminologies be explained with annotation for general public visitors and students to understand without difficulty.

This study compared 431 acoustic terminology of South Korean industrial standards and North Korean national standards based on IEC 60050-801:1994 international standards. In addition, this study attempted to integrate acoustic terminology between the two Koreas. There were 139 (32.3 %) AA types with exactly the same form of terminology, 35 (8.1 %) Aa types with different spellings due to differences in linguistic norms, and 257 (59.6 %) AB types with completely different forms. Morphologically, there were more than twice as many different types of terminology as the same type. In the integration of acoustic terminology with different forms, 178 (61 %) North Korean terminology and 76 (26 %) South Korean terminology were adopted. we would like to overcome the limitations of this study through the following suggestions. First, the government should support academic exchanges between the two Koreas and encourage the establishment of common standards for acoustic terminology. Second, efforts should be made to share acoustic terminology data between the two Koreas and publish an integrated acoustic terminology dictionary. Third, South and North Korea should jointly launch a terminology committee to make efforts to revise international standards together.
