Chaotic Phenomena in MEMS with Duffing Equation (Duffing 방정식을 가진 MEMS에서의 카오스 현상)

  • Recently, there are many difficult for maintenance in the power in established sensor networks. In order to solve this problems, the power development has been interested using vibration in MEMS that insert the MEMS oscillator. In this paper, we propose the MEMS system with Duffing equation to generate vibration signal that can be use power signal in MEMS and confirm and verify the chaotic behaviors in vibration signal of MEMS by computer simulation. As a verification methods, we confirm the existence of period motion and chaotic motion by parameter variation through the time series, phase portrait, power spectrum and poincare map.

A Study on The Modulation for Transmitting Different Information Simultaneously (독립적인 정보 동시 전송용 변조방식에 관한 연구)

  • We Propose modulation scheme using I-Q modulation for transmitting different information simultaneously. For transmitting 1bit of each information, we apply QPSK scheme, for more bits, MAPSK. At the second modulation stage, We mix PN wavefoms with APSK waveforms for spreading bandwith. BER(Bit Error Rate) of each Information of the proposed scheme is analyzed on computer simulation. Finally we show power spectrum before and after spreading bandwidth.

  • LTE-Advanced aims at peak data rates of 1Gbits/s for the downlink and 500 Mbits/s for the uplink, which can be accomplished only by using wide spectrum allocation of 100MHz as well as advanced multiple input multiple output antenna techniques to the uplink. This paper analyzes the uplink precoding techniques which include LTE codebook of downlink, singular value decomposition codebook, and equal gain transmission codebook over LTE defined single carrier frequency division multiplexing systems. Finally considering nonlinear transmit power amplifier model, it is shown that link-level performance of EGT is superior to those of any other precoding schemes.

Spectral Analysis of Flickering Effects in Binary Dimmable Visible Light Communication (조명의 디밍을 지원하는 이진 가시광 통신에 대한 플리커의 주파수 분석)

  • This paper presents an impact of flicker for various binary modulations of visible light communication (VLC) under dimming requirement. While previous approaches consider the statistics of the signal that cannot capture contributions of dynamic impacts of flicker, the power spectral density is evaluated for various VLC transmission schemes of dimming support. This enables to compare transmission schemes with the contribution of low and intermediate frequency components to flicker. Numerical results show that analog dimming has advantages over other techniques in terms of flicker and signal processing with waveforms and symbol distribution allows to mitigate flicker effects.

  • An uplink indoor positioning system is proposed in the present work, where the acoustic signals are solely used for positioning. The underlying acoustic signals include whistle, finger snap, and hands-clapping. In the proposed method, positioning is achieved by finding the time-difference-of-arrivals using several self-generating sounds. To evaluate the feasibility of the signals and their positioning accuracies, the database of 100 persons about self-generating acoustic signals is built up. The results show that the hands-clapping sound is the most suitable for acoustic-based indoor positioning.

  • An analysis method of slot-coupled microstripline to waveguide transition is presented to developed a simple but accurate equivalent circuit model. The equivalent circuit consists of an ideal transformer, microstrip open stub, and admittance elements looking into a waveguide and a half space of feed side from a slot center. The related circuit element values are calculated by applying the reciprocity theorem, the Fourier transform and series representation, the complex power concept, and the spectral-domain immittance approach. The computed scattering parameters are compared with the measured, and good agreement validates the simplicity and accuracy of the proposed equivalent circuit model.

  • In this paper, analytical methods for calculating the average probability of bit error of time hopping pulse position modulation ultra wideband (TH-PPM UWB) system are given. For the multi-user DS-PAM UWB system, the bipolar pulse amplitude modulation is used in order to achieve better performance. As we know, more attention is paid to the TH-PPM UWB systems recently. In this paper, we first introduce the accurate BER calculation methods of the multi-user TH-PPM UWB systems and then give the performance analysis over the ideal AWGN channel and a correlation receiver. Furthermore, we also introduce their applications in image transmission and data transmission and give the simulation results. The analytical method yields simple and exact formulas relating the performance to the system parameters.

  • In this paper partial discharge were simulated by conducted particle, a fine protrusion, surface discharge, which could be easy accumulated charge and concentrated electric field in the model GIS. In this times this paper measured and analyzed the radiated electromagnetic waves by using spectrum analyzer and antenna ($30{\sim}2,000[MHz]$ for measurement of EMI EMC in accordance with occurrence and propagation of partial discharge. In the basis of this results, a novel UHF(Ultra High Frequency) spherical sensor is presented. The measured impedance bandwidth of the proposed antenna is from 0.3[GHz] to 1.7[GHz]. Form results of this study, this antenna will be playing an important role for the sensor for insulation diagnosis system by UHF method of real site GIS and power equipment using $SF_6$ gas.

RF-sputter를 이용하여 그래핀 및 사파이어 기판위에 성장된 GaN 박막의 특성 연구

  • GaN는 III-V족 물질로 밴드갭이 3.4 eV으로 가시광선 영역에서 투명하며 우수한 전기적 특성으로 인해 여러 반도체 분야에서 응용되고 있는 물질이다. GaN 박막의 성장 방법으로는 molecular beam epitaxial 방법과 metal organic chemical vapor deposition 방법이 있지만 고비용인 단점이 있다. 이에 비해 sputtering 방법으로 성장시킨 GaN 박막은 비용이 적게 들고 저온에서 성장이 가능하다는 장점이 있다. 이 연구에서는 radio frequency sputter를 사용하여 GaN 박막을 성장하여 구조적, 광학적 특성을 분석하였다. GaN 박막은 각각 단일층의 그래핀과 c-축 사파이어 기판에 증착 하였으며, 이때 기판온도는 $25^{\circ}C$, $100^{\circ}C$, $200^{\circ}C$로 변화를 주었고, N2 분압은 2 sccm, 5 sccm, 10 sccm으로 변화를 주었다. 그래핀과 사파이어 기판에 성장된 각각의 GaN 박막의 결정성을 투과전자현미경 이미지로 측정하여 비교하였다. $4{\times}10^{-3}$ Torr 진공도와 50 W의 방전 전력과 Ar 10 sccm 분위기에서 20 min 동안 증착된 GaN 박막 두께는 70 nm정도를 가지는 것으로 확인하였다. X-ray Diffraction 측정으로 사파이어 기판 및 (002) 방향으로 성장된 GaN의 피크를 확인하였다. 추가적으로 Photoluminescence 스펙트럼은 N2 분압의 변화와 yellow luminescence 영향을 받는 것을 확인하였다. 본 연구를 통하여, 증착된 기판온도와 N2 분압의 변화에 따른 그래핀 및 사파이어 기판에 증착된 GaN 박막의 특성을 비교하였으며, sputtering 방법으로 고품질의 GaN 박막을 성장시킬 수 있는 가능성을 확인하였다.

  • In this paper, The next Generation High Speed Railway Inverter system using RCF-PWM(Random Carrier Frequency Pulse Width Modulation) was developed to reduce electromagnetic noise. RCF-PWM method is randomized the switching frequency in the range between Semiconductor switching devices' maximum switching frequency and minimum switching frequency, Simulation program has been built using MATLAB/Simulink to verify the validity of study. Finally, the simulation results of Next Generation High Speed Railway inverter system using the RCF method was compared with the conventional SVPWM method.
