Experimental Study of Process Chiller for Semiconductor Temperature Control (반도체 공정 온도제어용 칠러의 실험적 연구)

  • Excessive heat may be generated during the semiconductor manufacturing process. Therefore, precise control of temperature is required to maintain a constant ambient temperature and wafer temperature in the chamber. Compared to an industrial chiller, a semiconductor chiller's power consumption is high because it is in continuous operation for a year. Because of this high power consumption, it is necessary to develop an energy-efficient chiller by optimizing the operation. The competitiveness of domestic products is low because of the high energy consumption. We experimentally investigated a domestic semiconductor by conducting load change, temperature rise and fall, and control precision experiments. The experimental study showed that the chiller had 2.1-3.9 kW of cooling capacity and 0.56-0.93 of EER. The control precisions were ${\pm}1^{\circ}C$ and ${\pm}0.6^{\circ}C$ when the setting temperatures were $0^{\circ}C$ and $30^{\circ}C$ respectively.

  • This paper proposed the method to reduce and manage the amount of using power by using the Self-Learning of inference engine that evolves through learning increasingly smart ways for each spaces with in the Space-Based Energy Management System (SEMS, Space-based Energy Management System) that is defined as smallest unit space with constant size and similar characteristics by using the collectible Big Data from the various information networks and the informations of various sensors from the existing Energy Management System(EMS), mostly including such as the Energy Management Systems for the Factory (FEMS, Factory Energy Management System), the Energy Management Systems for Buildings (BEMS, Building Energy Management System), and Energy Management Systems for Residential (HEMS, Home Energy Management System), that is monitoring and controlling the power of systems through various sensors and administrators by measuring the temperature and illumination.

  • 현재 국내에서 사용되는 교통신호등용 전구는 전량 해외에서 수입하는 백열전구로써 발열에 의한 낮은 발광 효율과 짧은 수명으로. 전력의 과소비와 과중한 전력요금 부담. 잦은 유지보수로 관리비용의 증가와 교통환경 악화의 원인이 되고 있으며, 국가적으로는 귀중한 에너지의 낭비, 첨두부하 증가에 따른 전력수요관리의 어려움, 발전용 화석연료 사용증가에 따른 환경오염 유발 등의 문제가 발생하고 있다. 그러나 $8{\sim}12$인치의 원형(또는 사각) PCB 기판에 수백개의 고휘도 LED(반도체 발광 다이오드, Light Emitting Diode)와 구동회로로 구성되는 LED 교통신호등은 발열에 의한 열손실이 거의 없고, 특정 파장대의 단색광을 발광하여 착색렌즈 사용에 따른 빛손실이 없어 80% 이상의 대폭적인 에너지 절약이 가능하며. 또한 긴 수명으로 유지보수비용의 절감 및 교통환경개선 효과가 크게 기대되어 미국, 일본 등 고휘도 LEB 기술 선진국을 중심으로 경쟁적으로 LED 신호등 기술개발에 심혈을 기울이고 있으며, 일부 시범 보급중에 있다. 교통신호등은 특성상 국민의 안전과 직결된 사안으로 엄격한 규격으로 제한하고 있다. 그러나 LED 신호등은 발광 원리 및 발광 방식이 기존의 전구식과 달라 현재 규정된 시험방법으로 직접 평가가 불가능하다. 따라서 우리나라의 경우 LED 제조 기술은 세계적인 수준이나 LED 신호등에 대한 기술개발 및 보급은 현실적으로 어려운 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 에너지절약형 우리나라 환경 특성에 적합한 LED 교통 신호등의 규격 제정 및 국내 보급환경 구축을 위해 LED 신호등에 대한 시제품의 특성을 장시간의 옥외 시험을 통해 평가하고자 한다.

Low-Power Backlight Control and Its Acceleration Based on Image Resizing for Mobile LCD Displays (모바일 LCD 디스플레이의 저전력 Backlight 제어 및 영상 크기 조절을 이용한 가속화 기법)

  • In this paper, we propose a fast algorithm for low-power image enhancement method for mobile LCD. In the proposed fast algorithm, the spatial resolution of the input image is significantly reduced, and the image characteristics are analyzed on the reduced resolution image to find a dimming rate adaptive to the image content, thereby saving power. The proposed fast adaptive dimming and image enhancement algorithm is implemented as an application that runs on an Android device. Image quality evaluation and running time analysis experiments on the device indicate that the proposed fast algorithm jointly minimizes the quality degradation and power consumption, reducing the required computation load by over 95%.

  • In this paper, we were proposed a new LED light device lighting control algorithm for optimal energy saving. The propose lighting control algorithm be to the LED lights devices lighting control by measuring illuminance into multi sensors. And it be to lighting control by inverting of octagon pattern during set-up time. All the LED is lighting when detecting motion by the motion sensor. And, it was designed enable remote management control by communicate with central monitoring center using Zigbee wireless network to measured data from sensors at real time. In this paper, a proposed lighting control algorithm was measured power consumption about the lighting status of LED lighting device using the lighting control program for demonstrate of energy savings effect. The measured result, the lighting method applying proposed algorithm were proved energy savings effect of more 40% more compared to the existing lighting method.

  • Recently, as the business using IT has increased rapidly, a lot of budget is required to operate and manage the complex IT infrastructure. There is a need for a new IT infrastructure technology that can effectively and reduce costs. In this paper, we introduce CI(Converge Infrastructure) and HCI(Hyper Converge Infrastructure) methods, which are IT infrastructure methods for simplifying information systems and reducing operational management efficiency and cost. In addition, it proposes an information system using the HCI method, a new IT infrastructure technology, and a plan to establish a disaster recovery system to provide continuity of service in the event of a disaster or failure. In addition to the introduction of major technologies for using the HCI method, the area, power consumption, and operational efficiency of the information system before and after the introduction of HCI are compared and analyzed.

  • Recently, Smart plugs for real time monitoring of household appliances based on IoT(Internet of Things) have been activated. Through this, consumers are able to save energy by monitoring real-time energy consumption at all times, and reduce power consumption through alarm function based on consumer setting. In this paper, we measure the alternating current from a wall power outlet for real-time monitoring. At this time, the current pattern for each household appliance was classified and it was experimented with deep learning to determine which product works. As a result, we used a cross validation method and a bootstrap verification method in order to the classification performance according to the type of appliances. Also, it is confirmed that the cost function and the learning success rate are the same as the train data and test data.

  • 에너지 소비가 큰 건물은 내부 온/습도, 이산화탄소 농도, 미세먼지 농도 등의 일정 공기 질을 유지하면서 에너지 비용을 최소화할 수 있는 제어계획을 수립하는 것이 필요하다. 기존 건물에서 실내 환경의 운영은 설정된 실내 환경 값을 기준을 벗어나면 설비 기기를 제어하는 방식으로 이루어진다. 이는 단 시간에 고에너지를 투입하여 장비를 가동시키므로 에너지 소모가 크며 peak 전력이 높아 에너지 비용이 크다는 문제가 있다. 따라서 온도를 포함한 환경이 변해가는 상황을 예측하고 사전에 에너지 사용 계획을 수립하여 관리 제어를 수행함으로써 예열부하 등의 불필요한 에너지 손실을 절감하려 한다. 이를 위해 실내 환경이 변화하는 것을 예측하고 후보 제어계획으로 제어를 수행할 때 소요되는 에너지가 어느 정도인지 시뮬레이션하여 제어계획의 적합도를 평가한다. 기존 EnergyPlus와 같은 시뮬레이션 도구는 모델이 복잡하여 시뮬레이션에 많은 시간이 필요하기 때문에 환경 변화를 반영하기 위해 주기적으로 재수립되는 수많은 제어계획 데이터를 단시간에 시뮬레이션하기에 부적합하다. 본 논문에서는 빠른 시뮬레이션을 위해 실제 운영 데이터와 에뮬레이션을 통해 획득한 운영 데이터를 기반으로 학습 알고리즘을 이용하여 제어계획 적용 시의 미래 상황을 예측한다.

  • The high-efficiency induction motor reduces the generation loss of conventional induction motors and saves energy with less electricity consumed, enabling the return of initial facilities investments on a shorter-term basis due to its low operation cost and allowing the extension of the life of the motor. Poscore has entered the phase of development of high-efficiency induction motor based on its experiences to date in cooperation with electricity researchers. This paper examines the development of the small motor die for the high-efficiency induction motor.

  • With the rapid growth of the mobile computing and sensor technologies, various application techniques related to USN converged with other related technologies are actively disseminated recently. Most of these applications are aimed at the proper control and system monitoring using context information gathered through various sensors. But it is not easy to control and monitor the system precisely and flexibly since data generated by sensors are huge and variety. In this paper, we design and implement the fuzzy-logic based central control system in USN to provide the flexibility and preciseness with sensed data. The performance of the proposed system is evaluated by a simulation study in terms of consumed electric power on the test bed of USN based streetlight control system.
