  • Digital environment that is represented to internet is displacing business way of industry and business achievement way with the fast speed being giving great change on life whole, improve existence business process utilizing internet and Web connection technology, information superhighway to tradition industrialist manufacture and e-transformation's propulsion that wish to maximize productivity and administration efficiency is spread vigorously. In this paper, we wish to accomplish generation equipment's heighten stability and believability through remote monitoring and control of BIPV system. This paper describes the design of the monitoring system for sensing the monitoring data and indirect controlling of the BIPV system. Most of the conventional monitoring system depend on the special hardware and software. Basic design goal of monitoring system is to provide the convenience for the user and the portability for the system. In order for the system to fulfill its requirements, it was designed using Labview GUI facility based on the Windows 2000 environment of IBM PC compatible and Add-on card based on the TCP/IP protocol. Advantage of the monitoring system are a personnel expenses curtailment effect, free of the place restriction and unmanned system of the generation plants, etc.

  • Wind energy is currently the fastest growing source of renewable energy used for electrical generation around world. Wind farms are adding a significant amount of electrical generation capacity. The increase in the number of wind farms has led to the need for more effective operation and maintenance procedures. Condition Monitoring System(CMS) can be used to aid plant owners in achieving these goals. In this work, systematic design procedure for artificial neural network based normal behavior model which can be applied for fault detection of various devices is proposed. Furthermore, to verify the design method SCADA(Supervisor Control and Data Acquisition) data from 850kW wind turbine system installed in Beaung port were utilized.

  • Recently using a variety of sensors sensing the virtual(Virtual Sensing) technology that extracts specific data has been applied to IoT service interface. The utilization of such sensors while increasing IoT (Internet of Things) environmental sensor is an essential element. However, used in the IoT to the environment, while the increase in utilization of a specific sensor utilization falling sensors is generated. In this paper, we design unnecessary sensors removal algorithm as a way to solve this problem. Through the utilization of poor power to block the sensor can reduce the power consumption and user sensor control service through the monitoring by blocking the use of the sensor is considered that there can be provided a more effective and convenient.

Design and Implementation of a Micro-Modem for Underwater Acoustic Communications (수중 음향 통신을 위한 초소형 모뎀 설계 및 구현)

  • As the interest in ocean environment monitoring and ocean development has been increased, the need for researches on underwater wireless sensor network (UWSN) and low power consuming acoustic modem for UWSN has been arisen. In this paper, we design and implement a micro-modem equipped with a tiny and omnidirectional transducer for underwater acoustic communications. In addition, we make experiments in a water tank and a pond in order to verify the performance of the developed modem in terms of supply voltage and communication distance, and analyze the results. According to the outdoor experiments, the modem can send data wirelessly in underwater at a distance of 40 meter with a data rate of 200 bps and a bit error rate of $10^{-5}$ when the supply voltage is 12 V. Due to its small size, low power consumption and omnidirectional property, it is expected that the modem which is implemented in this paper could be utilized for various applications based on UWSN.

  • The demonstration project of the electrical grid for Smart grid is progressed, the smart digital appliances AV technology, Smart home energy management technology charging the management function of complex energy for the automation management of air conditioning and heating, humidity and air, the health care technology charging the design of housing for the elderly and disabled and the measurement of individual bio information, and the Smart home security technology dealing with the biometric security and motion sensors, etc. have been studied. The power monitoring terminal which uses a variety of wired and wireless networks and protocol is the target additionally to be considered in addition to the security vulnerabilities that was occurred in the existing terminal. In this research paper, the author analyzes the cryptographic techniques corresponding to the smart meter occurred by the problems that are exposed on the outside which are vulnerable to physical attacks, and intends to propose the design of the security systems for the Smart meter terminal being able to maximize the efficiency of the terminal.

  • 스마트홈 구축을 위한 다양한 IoT 기술 발전과 더불어 IoT 장비들의 저전력, 고효율, 편리성에 대한 사용자 니즈에 대한 관심이 급증하고 있다. 이러한 사용자 니즈를 반영하듯이 최근 아두이노 및 라즈베리 파이등 저비용으로 IoT 장비를 구축할 수 있는 다양한 연구들이 진행되고 있다. 우리는 본 연구를 통해 뉴로-퍼지기술을 이용해 저전력, 고효율, 편리성을 겸비한 저렴한 IoT 장비 및 솔루션을 제안하고자 한다. 뉴로-퍼지를 이용하게 되면 기존의 단순한 센싱에 대한 제어와 다르게 다양한 환경변수를 분석하고 고려해 효율적인 제어가 가능할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 욕실 환경에서의 발생할 수 있는 다양한 환경변수를 추출하고 사용자가 편리하게 사용할 수 있도록 실시간 발생하는 상황과 온도, 습도 등을 뉴로-퍼지를 통해 제어할 수 있는 알고리즘을 설계한다. 그리하여 뉴로-퍼지를 이용하여 설계된 욕실환경 제어 시스템은 사용자의 욕실 이용에 효과적인 영향을 줄 수 있을 것이다. 우리는 본 연구에서 저비용 고효율의 효율적 시스템을 구성할 수 있는 IoT 센서와 아두이노 및 라즈베리 파이를 활용해 다양한 IoT 장비들을 모니터링하고 분석하여 쾌적한 스마트 홈을 구축할 수 있는 방향을 제시하였다. 또한 그러한 IoT 장비들을 제어할 수 있는 IoT gateway system을 설계하고 구현하였다.

An Auto-Switching Dual-Input Energy Harvesting Circuit (자동 스위칭 기능을 갖는 이중입력 에너지 하베스팅 회로)

  • In this paper an auto-switching dual-input energy harvesting circuit is proposed. Since the maximum power points of a thermoelectric generator(TEG) output and a vibration device(PEG) output is 1/2 of their open-circuit voltage, an identical MPPT controller can be used for both energy sources. The proposed circuit monitors the outputs of the TEG and PEG, and chooses the energy source generating a higher output using an auto-switching controller, and then harvests the maximum power from the selected device using a MPPT controller. The harvested energy is boosted through a charge pump and stored in a storage capacitor. The stored energy is provided to a load through a PMU(Power Management Unit). The proposed circuit is designed in a $0.35{\mu}m$ CMOS process and its functionality has been verified through extensive simulations. The designed chip occupies $1.4mm{\times}1.2mm$ including pads.

  • Korea is both a resource-poor country and a energy-consuming country. In addition, the use and dependence on electricity is very high, and more than 20% of total energy use is consumed in buildings. As research on deep learning and machine learning is active, research is underway to apply various algorithms to energy efficiency fields, and the introduction of building energy management systems (BEMS) for efficient energy management is increasing. In this paper, we constructed a database based on energy usage by device per household directly collected using smart plugs. We also implement algorithms that effectively analyze and predict the data collected using RNN and LSTM models. In the future, this data can be applied to analysis of power consumption patterns beyond prediction of energy consumption. This can help improve energy efficiency and is expected to help manage effective power usage through prediction of future data.

  • If we know the location of the hull block and the welding feeder in the shipyard, we can easily obtain the location information of the worker. That data is very useful for implementing a workplace safety monitoring system. However, it is difficult to apply a fixed communication network to the workplace due to the specificity of the hull structure and welding process. In this study, inductive power line communication, which can replace dedicated communication line, was reviewed. A ferrite core was used as an inductive coupler to be installed on the power cable of the welding machine, and a nano-crystalline core was applied as a coupler to be fastened to the support rod of the metal block. In order to visualize the operating principle of the proposed couplers, 3D modeling and finite element analysis were performed with the COMSOL AC/DC module. In the communication performance test using an aluminum profile, when the communication channel was formed by the contact of the welding electrode, the bandwidth was kept above 6 Mbps.

  • The research of amplifier have been actively conducted to replace the Traveling Wave Tube Amplifier (TWTA) in the mmWave. For Solid State Power Amplifiers (SSPA), which combine semiconductor-type devices to obtain high output, Low-loss, high-efficiency combination techniques are required to meet the required output as the output of a single relatively low device is relatively low. In this paper, we design and produce an 8-way waveguide combiner and a reflective loss of more than 20dB and a binding efficiency of 85% or more were identified. Field analysis calculates the critical power inside the combiner. It secured stable Power Ratings and built-in coupler for power monitoring to achieve miniaturization and light weight.
