The Heating Characteristics of Electric Bare Wire Melted by AC Current (AC 전류에 의해 용융된 나전선의 발열 특성)

  • For a fire cause judgement this paper describes the heating characteristics of electric bare wire melted by AC current. The cower wires prepared for the experiment were 1.2[mm], 1.6[mm], and 2.0[mm] in diameter. Through the cross section analysis(CSA), it was confirmed that the dendrite structure grew at the angle of about 40[$^{\circ}$] or 60[$^{\circ}$] when the fusing current was applied to the wires. The larger the fusing current is, the more decreased the growth angle of the dendrite structure is. It was confirmed that the dendrite structure was arranged like the columnar structure.

  • Recently, switchboards for MV/LV distribution customers have been united and digitalized rapidly. This paper suggestes the effective information visualization method for the data mesured from cubicle switchboard for MV/LV distribution customers. We developed the algorithm that analyzes a large number of mesured data and displays them to users overall, such as fire index, power condition index, switchboard safety index, and power diminution index. Using a touch screen made users to operate it easily. User interface was also strengthened by taking graph visualization. We guess the information visualiztion method suggested in this paper shows the new direction that heavy electrical equipments including switchboards are going to develop in the future.

  • This paper proposes a novel design of enhanced auto light control system using PLC(Power Line Communication) and SMS(Short Message Service) to copy with emergent cases effectively. In the proposed system, the indoor sensing system is designed to send emergent messages to the users or system manager in case of fire or invasion, which may prevent secondary accident. In addition, data transmission using PLC may drastically decreases the number of lines. The experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed system.

  • The short circuit and overload is presented by main cause of electrical fire. However, 85% of the fan directly connected the outlet box without switch in total 110 fans as a research in manufacturing industries. In installation direction of vertical type fans which was placed on the horizontal surface, only 39 vertical type fans were placed on vertical surface and 71 fans were placed on the horizontal type. The installation direction of the fans warns of the risk of the fire hazard due to the motor stall to the user manual of the maker. However, it is the representative nonconformity example of construction which the people or builder disregards. In addition, the condition of ground connection with the earth leakage prevention was investigated in grounding of 5 fans, non-grounding of 105 fans. The double insulation structure is generally used for small fan and it can't connect ground wire as electric plug of non-grounding type. However, industrial iron fan needs ground wire for electric leakage and to protect against electric shock.

  • The occurrence frequency of lightning and surge from the weather accident is increasing recently, which the damage scale have been enlarged every year. A protection system development to solve these problems have been risen to a multinational concern field. In this paper, a novel protection system is proposed to restrain lightning and various surges which happen in electricity and communication equipment. The proposed protection system is designed to the structure to restrain the rise of the earth potential which is become to the problem of conventional protection system. The secondary damage as a result does not happen. The practicality of the developed surge protection system is proved through various accident occurrence simulator.

  • 본 논문에서는 휴대용 IT 기기 및 EV, ESS 등 사용이 급증하고 있는 리튬 폴리머 배터리의 화재사고 원인 분석기법에 대하여 나타내었다. 사고 원인 분석기법은 사례분석을 통하여 외형 및 탄화패턴 분석을 통한 발화 추정위치로 외력에 의한 사고 및 내부 절연 열화에 의한 사고 원인 분석 등을 나타내었다. 사고원인 분석은 배터리 안전성 확보와 사고 재발 방지를 위한 대책 마련에 필수적인 기술로 향후 증가하는 제품사고에 대한 분석기법 개발에 기초연구로 활용하고자 한다. 본 논문에서 제시한 분석기술과 향후 내부 절연 열화 원인 분석 기법을 개발하여 리튬 계열 배터리에서 발생하는 사고에 대하여 정확한 원인 분석에 활용할 것이다.

Development of H/W and S/W for Detecting Electrical Fire Precursor Signal on Electrical Wirings (배선에서 전기화재 전조신호 검출을 위한 H/W 및 S/W 구축)

  • This paper is purposed to develop DAQ H/W, S/W and DB which can be used in developing electrical fire alarm system or in analyzing electrical fire cause, by detecting and monitoring precursor signals which have high possibility leading to electrical fire on electrical distribution wires. In this paper, developed was DAQ H/W adopting the C8051FXXX CPU which can analyze the measurement signals of current and voltage in electrical distribution wires, other CPU was investigated in view of the best digital sampling rate on the basis of previous researches for electrical fire alarm system. Also, the S/W which can interface with DAQ H/W's communication protocol and can be applied for electrical fire causes analysis, are embodied by LabVIEW. The combined DAQ H/W and S/W could analyze efficiently normal as well as abnormal electrical signals such as RMS value, instantaneous value of current and voltage, frequency signals etc, on the electrical wires. Also, DB system was constructed for recording various analysis results for precursor signals including voltage and current signals. The results by simulator and experiment showed that the suggested scheme with DAQ H/W, S/W and DB in this paper has high usability.

  • 지난 10여년간 한국 사회는 기술적, 경제적, 정치적으로 많은 성장과 변화, 그리고 발전을 거듭하여 세계 13의 경쟁력을 자랑하고 있다. 하지만, 우리나라의 사회적 성장 수준은 세계 30위에 그치고 있어 노령화 정책, 환경 문제, 양극화문제, 균형 발전 등의 사회적 성장과 삶의 질 향상을 위한 노력이 필요한 상황이다. 지속가능한 안전한 삶에 대한 국민적 관심과 요구가 높아지고 있음에도 불구하고 우리 사회는 일상생활과 밀접한 전기 화재 및 가스 사고에서부터 국가 산업 경쟁력 및 심각한 환경문제까지 야기할 수 있는 발전소 혹은 대형 플랜트 사고에 이르기까지 위험 요소를 안고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 이러한 에너지 관련 시설 및 활동으로부터 발생할 수 있는 사고를 예방하고 조치할 수 있는 안전 기술 개발 현황에 대하여 조사하고 이를 바탕으로 향후 국내 에너지 안전 기술의 개발 방향에 대한 의견을 제안하였다. 또한, 국내 가스 및 설비 안전 기술의 현황을 파악하고 이를 토대로 안전 기술의 유형을 분류하여 향후 관련 기술의 방향성 제시를 위해 중장기 TRM(technical road map)을 제시하여 에너지 안전 기술의 경쟁력 확보를 위한 토대를 마련하였다.

Development of a High-Efficient Magneric Ballast for Fluorescentlamps (고효율의 형광램프용 자기식 안정기의 개발)

  • A new magnetic ballast was designed and developed to get high luminous efficiency. The core material of new magnetic ballast was G-9 and its shape of core is modified. The diameter of the coil was upgraded to 0.5[mm], and a new power-saving circuit was designed for the semiconductor ignition starter. The experimental results of the ballast showed reduction of the electric loss in the magnetic ballast about 1.7Watt (0.5[%]). The luminous efficiency was increased by 6.2 lm/Watt (7.6[%]) and the ballast efficiency factor(BEF) of 1.09(7.6[%]). The prototype was tested through national standard testing procedure. A high efficient energy-using equipment (the second grade in the efficiency of energy consumption) was certified. The saving power of 1.7[W] was shown by lighting appratus for fluorescent lamps. The result will be used for the high efficient magnetic ballast technology.nology.

  • If a fluorescent lamp be used too much time, the filmy part of electronic emission in the lane that is attached near the tube of the cathode brings about blacking. Luminance output and luminous efficiency are decreased. So, it's necessary to replace it. if the user doesn't replace the lamp for a long time, it causes overvoltage in the lamp. Therefore, the filament might be overheated. Even the socket of the lamp might catch on fire. In this paper gives development model of the fluorescent lighting equipment which has ramp shift timely display device.
