An Empirical Study on the Fitness between Manufacturing Technology Strategy and product Structure - Based on Korean Electric and Electronic Industry - (제품구조와 생산기술간의 적합성에 관한 실증적 연구 - 우리나라 전기 . 전자산업을 중심으로 -)

  • Traditionally, the target of manufaturing technology strategy was derived in a efficiency, cost and productivity. So most activities of the manufacturing brought focus into the engineering technology, equipments and research and improvement of new products to maximize the efficiency. As a resell of this legacy, most of the activities of manufacturing has been executed on the method of quality improvement, development of new equipment to incense the efficiency and the research of materials for new products. Those trends, however overlook the operation management activities which is very important as a assets in competitive strategy. But the market enviornment of morden manufacturing companies faced to the uncertainty and complexity. So they need capability of competition which requires new concept of manufacturing technology strategy to grasp the competitive advantages. In this point of view, this paper deal with the empirical study in korean manufacturing technology strategy of the electic and electronic industry. For the empirical study, check list was made to survey the 98 manufacturing companies. The analysis procedures are as below. First, identify the manufacturing technology group an product structure group by each variable. Second manufacturing technology variables are segmented into product technology and vertical integration, suborder and infrastructure, to analyse the decision making pattern which derive the strategy groups. Third, by the fitness analysis between product structure group and manufacturing technology group, the economic results of a growth rate of sale and a profit rate of sale are tested. In this approach, fitness analysis between product structure group and manufacturing technology group show, as a whole, the no significant values in economic results of the company. But investigating the statistical values shows the trend that econmic result of the complany is somewhat higher when the degree of fitness of manufacturing technology strategy by product structure has high value. Concluding the remarks, the competitive advantages of company lies not in the efficiency of manufacturing systems but in the way of the structure and decision making pattern of the manufacturing system. And the cons i stoney between strategy target and manufacturing technology strategy, and the consistency of manufacturing technology strategy and product structure are the term of competitive advantages.

Impact of Standardization Level and Education on Standardization on Performance of the Firm (표준화 교육 실태 및 표준화 교육이 기업 성과에 미치는 영향 분석)

  • As global competition has become keener, importance of standardization has increased due to international trade between firms and countries. Since standardization provide compatibility for parts or products, maintaining a good level of standardization is one of key success factors. This paper studies impact of standardization status and educational effort of standardization on performance of the firm. Also, characteristics of the firm, industry, history, acknowledge of need for education of standardization of the firm are considered as antecedents of standardization status and educational effort on standardization. Data was collected from information and technology and electronics industries. This paper found that characteristics of the firm and acknowledge of need for education on standardization have positive impact on the number of education on standardization. Results of this study also show that the number of education classes and of employees participated in the class positively affect R&D performance and production and quality improvement. Implication of this study is finding the relationship between importance of standardization education and competitiveness of the firm in global market.

  • 산업이 고도화, 다원화, 세계화되고 있는 현대사회는 다기능성, 고물성, 극한 내구성을 가지며 환경 친화적이면서 에너지 효율을 극대화시킬 수 있는 다기능 소재의 개발을 요구하고 있다. 이러한 시점에서 다양한 물성을 동시에 발현이 가능한 코팅 소재는 향후 미래에 중요한 원천소재로서 주목되고 있다. 특히, 환경에 의해 쉽게 물성 및 구조의 변화가 쉬운 종래의 코팅소재와는 달리, 다양한 외부환경에서도 미세 구조 및 물성을 안정적으로 유지할 수 있는 신개념의 코팅 소재의 개발이 절실히 요구되고 있다. 이를 위해서는 코팅소재의 다 성분화가 필수적이다. 최근의 코팅 기술은 2가지 이상의 물성, 특히 서로 상반되는 물성을 동시에 구현할 수 있는 소재의 개발을 요구하고 있다. 이러한 물성의 구현을 위하여 더 많은 성분으로 구성되며 더욱 복잡한 조직으로 구성된 코팅층에 대한 개발이 필요하다. 본 연구에서 목표로 하는 신 개념의 원천소재기술은 4 성분계 이상의 원료 물질을 단일 타겟으로 제조하여, 단순한 코팅공정으로서 단일 코팅층 내에 다양한 성분상이 10 nm 미만 크기의 나노 결정립/나노 비정질로 구성된 나노 복합 구조로 형성되도록 하는 기술을 개발하고자 하는 것이다. 이는 복합기능 3 이상의 다기능성 부여는 물론, 그림 1에 명시되어 있는 극한 기능성(광대역 윤활성, 전자 이동 제어에 의한 온도 저항 계수 및 전기 저항 조절, 고온 열적 안정성, 내산화성, 고열전도율, 초저마찰/내구성/초고경도성 등)이 구현되도록 하는 소재 개발과 원하는 물성을 구현할 수 있는 나노 복합 코팅층의 형성 공정으로 구성된다. 다성분계 모물질의 개발이 중요한 이유는 다수의 성분 원소를 합금 상태로 형성시킴으로서, 단일 소스에 의해 다양한 원소를 동시에 스퍼터링 및 증착이 가능하도록 할 수 있다는 장점을 가지기 때문이다. 특히, 타겟의 미세구조를 나노구조화 하는것을 통해, 스퍼터링 yield의 차이가 큰 원소일지라도 균일하게 증착시킬 수 있는 방법을 제시하고자한다. 이러한 연구는 다수의 성분 타겟을 사용함으로서 장비의 복잡성, 코팅의 재현성, 대형화 등의 문제점을 본질적으로 갖고 있는 기존 PVD 공정의 문제점을 해결하기 위한 최적의 대안이라할 수 있다. 본 발표에서는 3가지 이상의 다기능성 구현을 위한 가장 중요한 원천기술이라 할 수 있는 다성분계 타겟 모물질 제조 기술에 대해 소개하고자 한다.

  • 마그네슘은 나트륨, 알루미늄과 함께 지구상에서 가장 풍부한 금속 중 하나로서 밀도가 약 $1.74g/cm^3$으로서 구조용 금속재료 중 가장 가볍고 우수한 비강도를 지니고 있으며, 우수한 열전도도, 전기전도도, 전자파 차폐능을 지닌다. 최근 마그네슘 및 그 합금은 항공기, 자동차, 전자제품, 기계류 및 생활용품 등에 쓰이고 있으며, 사용량 및 적용범위가 매년 급격히 증가되고 있는 추세이다. 그러나 마그네슘합금은 매우 낮은 표준 환원전위와 치밀하지 못한 표면 산화막으로 인하여 부식에 대한 저항성이 매우 취약하다는 한계를 가지고 있다. 따라서 마그네슘합금의 표면처리 가운데 부식에 대한 저항성을 보완할 수 있는 방법은 활발한 마그네슘합금의 응용에 필수적이다. 이러한 마그네슘합금의 내식성을 향상시키고자 전기화학적 플라즈마 전해 산화처리 (Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation)를 하게 되는데, 아노다이징, 화성피막처리 등 과 같은 기존의 산업적 표면처리 방안으로는 불가능한 수준의 표면경도를 확보할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 두꺼운 산화피막 형성을 통해 이들 합금이 가진 기본적 취약점인 내식성 문제를 보완할 수 있는 장점이 있지만, 다공성 산화피막 형성만으로 기대할 수 있는 내식성 향상 효과가 매우 크지는 못하다. 따라서 다공성의 양극산화피막의 단점, 즉 다공성 물질로 부식성 물질의 이동을 허용할 수 있는 공간을 가지는 구조를 개선시킬 수 있는 추가적인 처리를 필요로 한다. 본 연구에서는 발수성 표면처리를 이용하여 다공성 구조물의 표면이 물에 대한 저항성을 가지도록 함으로써 초발수성 표면을 구현하고자 하였다. 이러한 방법은 기존의 후처리 방법인 봉공처리로는 얻을 수 없었던 다공성 구조물로의 부식성 물질의 침투를 억제할 수 있었으며, 상당한 수준의 내식성 향상 효과를 보여주었다. 또한 물에 대한 반발성은 표면에 물의 이동성을 높이는 효과를 보여주며 이로 인하여 자기세척 효과도 보여주었다.

  • Ferromagnetic material's residual magnetization is remained because of the interaction between domains from external apply field, so the electrical and electronic industry and area of defense development request deperm protocol which makes the residual magnetization to 0. But the deperm protocols which are used theses days are developed by using only experience and experiment, so we have to develop deperm protocol considering hysteresis curve. In this paper, Anhysteretic Deperm, Deperm-ME, Flash-Deperm were analyzed using two dimensional finite element method and Preisach model that was formulated by property of magnetic materials. From that analysis, the relations between hysteresis curve and deperm variable are compared by analyzing the trace of Preisach plane. Also, an efficient current ratio of deperm protocol, is proposed.

  • For the auto-configuration of diverse hosts and automation of network management as many electronic machines and industrial components are becoming connected to Internet, it is possible to use autoconfiguration using DHCP and network management protocol such as SNMP, CMIP. But these technologies are not developed maturely and lack various standardizations yet because these are designed for restrictive purposes in the past. The new working group "Zeroconf" is made in IETF at March, 2000, it is aimed for making standards of autoconfiguration which is applied to impromptu ad-hoc networks in automobiles, trains, planes and home network or mobile networks. In this paper, we introduce the IPv6 based autoconfiguration technologies such as IP interface configuration, translation between host name and IP address, IP multicast address allocation and service discovery. Finally, trends of standardization in Zeroconf working group will be shown. be shown.

  • The aim of this paper is to develop more fast algorithm for evaluation of the reliability of networks and system. It is illustrated with examples. This paper derived the algorithm to calculate the acyclic directed graph G(deals with the problem of the s-t graph). The language PASCAL was used to implement the algorithm. Three Examples are calculated and the calculation time is shorter than the time by program in $\ulcorner$21$\lrcorner.

  • Finite failure NHPP models presented in the literature exhibit either constant, monotonic increasing or monotonic decreasing failure occurrence rates per fault. In this parer, Goel-Okumoto and Yamada-Ohba-Osaki model was reviewed, proposes the Burr distribution reliability model, which making out efficiency application for software reliability. Algorithm to estimate the parameters used to maximum likelihood estimator and bisection method, model selection based on SSE, AIC statistics and Kolmogorov distance, for the sake of efficient model, was employed. Analysis of failure using real data set for the sake of proposing shape parameter of the Burr distribution was employed. This analysis of failure data compared with the Burr distribution model and the existing model(using arithmetic and Laplace trend tests, bias tests) is presented.

  • The increase in the size and the uptake of PV systems is leading to significant increase in the penetration of PV into local electricity grids. The increased penetration of PV is impacting on grid operation and in particular the voltage within the local grid can be significantly influenced by the various PV systems. The current global situation of environmental pollution, climate change and energy demand urgently requires dramatic political, economic and technical decisions in order to avoid a potential collapse of environmental and social systems. Around the world, electricity remains the vital component of national and international development. The implementation of renewable energy resources can provide solutions to these challenges by stimulating the early implementation of economically viable sustainable energy technologies.

  • The maritime autonomous surface ship is automatically collects and manages various information necessary for the operation to minimize human intervention and safely perform the mission assigned to the ship. And the ship may autonomously operate the partial or entire route to the destination determined by the ship himself. This ship navigation technology allows partially remote control the ship to be operated if necessary. The maritime autonomous surface ship (MASS) should collect and manage signals of various navigation communication equipments and engines mounted on the ship for safe operation. This requires a common platform technology. In this paper, we propose a common platform that is the core of smart ship implementation. Territorial authorities and ships are connected by satellite or terrestrial communication. In such a communication environment, information is exchanged smoothly in real time. This allows the onshore authorities to monitor ships and provide remote control to enable safe vessel navigation at sea.
