  • 본 연구에서는 뇌졸중 환자를 대상으로 팔 흔들기 강화운동과 발목 신장운동을 실시한 실험군이 일반적인 물리치료를 실시한 대조군보다 균형과 보행속도가 향상됨을 검증하였으며, 재활치료에 있어서 하나의 중재방법이 될 수 있음을 제안한다.

  • 현대 디자이너는 사회로부터 다양화와 현대화에 대한 지속적인 요구를 받고 있으며, 한편으로는 자원의 유한성이라는 제한으로 인해 다양화와 현대화와의 모순이라는 현실에 직면하고 있다. 이러한 배경들로 말미암아 재활용품 개발은 현대 디자인에서 중요한 분야로 자리 잡고 있다. 본 연구는 폐기물 재활용품의 모듈형식 디자인에 관한 분석을 통하여 지속 가능한 각도에서의 모듈형식 디자인의 역할과 그 중요성의 의미를 인정하고 모듈형식의 생활용품 디자인에서 나타난 정보를 통하여 재활용품 디자인의 개발방향을 제시하였다.

A VR-based pseudo weight algorithm using machine learning

  • In this paper, we propose a system that can perform dumbbell exercise by recognizing the weight of dumbbells without wearing and device. With the development of virtual reality technnology, many studies are being conducted to simulate the pysical feedback of the real world in the virtual world. Accurate motion recognition is important to the elderly for rehabilitation exercises. They cannot lift heavy dumbbells. For rehabilitation exercise, correct body movement according to an appropriate weight must be performed. We use a machine learning algorithm for the accuracy of motion data input in real time. As an experiment, we was test three types of bicep, double, shoulder exercise and verified accuracy of exercise. In addition, we made a virtual gym game to actually apply these exercise in virtual reality.

Effect of Education and Counselling-based Cardiac Rehabilitation Program on Cardiovascular Risk, Health Behavior and Quality of Life in Elderly with Coronary Artery Disease (교육상담 기반 심장재활 프로그램이 노인 관상동맥질환자의 심혈관 위험도, 건강행위 및 삶의 질에 미치는 효과)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of education and counselling-based cardiac rehabilitation program on cardiovascular risk, health behavior and quality of life in elderly with coronary artery disease. Methods: A quasi-experimental study used a non-equivalent control group pre-post test design. A five week education and counselling-based cardiac rehabilitation program for the elderly with coronary artery disease was developed and offered to the experimental group. Participants were drawn from hospital in Busan. Twenty two were selected for the experimental group while 22 were assigned to a control group. Cardiovascular risk, health behavior and quality of life were measured. Results: There was a statistically significant difference in the cardiovascular risk(U=118.5, p=.002), health behaviors(t=5.200, p=<.001) and quality of life(t=2.431, p=.001) between the experimental group and the control group. Conclusion: Education and counselling-based cardiac rehabilitation program can be not only an effective nursing intervention for old patients having coronary artery disease, but also the very basis of further research on aged people who have the same symptom.

Proposed Application Design for Community-Based Rehabilitation Services Access in Community Care System: Occupation and Activity Based (커뮤니티케어 제도 내 지역사회중심재활 서비스 접근을 위한 애플리케이션 디자인의 제안 : 작업과 활동 중심으로)

  • Chronic diseases have been increasing recently as the average life expectancy of humans has been extended, and this trend has caused problems such as the widespread demand for health and rehabilitation services and rising medical costs. In order to solve this problem, the community-based rehabilitation has been developed and strengthened in Korea and gradually promoted since 2019. It is important to secure access to clients who want to use services to revitalize community-based rehabilitation. So in this study, as part of the community-based rehabilitation, intends to devise smartphone applications designs and develop a prototype to secure access to community-based occupational therapy services based on occupation and activities. For Occupational Therapy Practice Framework (OTPF), International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF), and Allen Diagnostic Module-2 (ADM-2) were used to devise and categorize occupation and activity based application content, and link OTPF, ICF, and ADM-2 through prior research analysis and expert meetings. The derived content was visualized through literature review and activity analysis, and was implemented to enable direct playback within the application using the YouTube API, and finally developed a prototype application. The Android Studio 3.5.2 for Windows 64-bit was used to build the application prototype. In further research, converging various digital technologies for user convenience and additionally researching community-based occupational therapy service providers opinions and service user satisfaction will improve accessibility to community-based occupational therapy services for clients who have difficulty occupational performance in the community.

Survey on the Status and Perceptions, Needs of Non-verbal Autism Spectrum Disorders Intervention of Speech-Language Pathologists (무발화 자폐스펙트럼장애 중재에 대한 언어재활사의 현황과 인식, 요구 조사)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the status and perceptions, needs of speech language pathologists(SLPs) for the intervention of non-verbal autism spectrum disorders(ASD) through a survey. Among SLPs registered in the Korean Association of Speech-Language Pathologists (KSLP), 116 SLPs participated in this survey. The result is as follows. First, 96.6% of SLP reported that they had been referred for non-verbal ASD, and it was found that SELSI was the most used evaluation tool, and communication ability and social interaction were the most frequently used intervention goals. Second, 86.2% of the SLP said that speech therapy had difficulties, and the reason for the burden was the lack of speech therapy methods. Also, the level of knowledge of speech therapy for non-verbal ASD was low in the treatment area, and the level of confidence responded positively only in communication ability and social interaction. Third, education that was considered necessary within the curriculum was education on treatment methods, and it was found that the improvement points of education other than regular courses were increased education such as expert courses and workshops and activation of supervision. From the results of this study, it is expected that the related curriculum will be expanded and improved in the future.

Development of Language Rehabilitation Program Using the Smart Device-based Application (스마트 기기 기반 언어재활 프로그램 개발)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a smart device-based Language Rehabilitation Program (LRP) to improve communication ability for the patients with language disability. The content of the LRP includes a variety of semantic categories and grammatical elements and consists of 17 semantic categories, 29 tasks and 3780 items to improve comprehension/production ability at word level, semantic category level, sentence level and discourse level. We developed LRP as a Windows-base management program and an Android-base language rehabilitation application. LRP was developed into an application for smart devices, providing real-time delivery of training contents, measurement and database of training task results, and patient progress and monitoring. A follow-up study will be conducted on the verification of the language rehabilitation effect using LRP by patients with language disability.

  • The purpose of this study is to propose a training method customized to the level of cognitive abilities to increase users' interest and engagement while using cognitive function training contents. The level of cognitive ability of the users was based on the clustering based on the users' information and Mini-Mental Statue Examination-Korea Child test score using the K-means algorithm applied collaborative filtering. The results were applied to the integrated cognitive function training system, and the contents order and difficulty level of the cognitive function training area were recommended to the user's cognitive ability level. Particularly, the contents difficulty control was designed to give a high immersion feeling by applying the 'flow theory' method that users can repeatedly feel tension and comfort. In conclusion, the user-customized cognitive function training method proposed in this paper can be expected to be more effective and rehabilitative results than existing therapists' subjective setting of contents order and difficulty level.

Developing English Language Learning Tools Adaptable to Users' Personality (사용자 성격 적응형 영어학습 도구에 관한 연구)

  • 본 연구에서는 사용자의 성격패턴을 사용자의 대화음성 정보만으로 자동 분류할 수 있는 방법과 이를 기반으로 사용자의 성격 맞춤형 학습전략을 적용하는 애플리케이션을 개발하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 음성대화 속의 발화된 말의 빠르기(speech rate)나 말소리의 크기, 기본주파수(fundamental frequency)의 값과 그들의 변화패턴, 그리고 묵음구간의 여러 가지 통계적 정보 같은 비언어적 단서를 활용하여 성격패턴을 최고 86.3% 까지 정확하게 인식해 낼 수 있었다. 또한 성격 별 영어단어 학습방법을 개발하여 사전 및 사후테스트를 기반으로 실험한 결과 약 24% 성적 향상을 보였다. 이 연구를 통해 확보되는 원천기술은 각종 에듀테인먼트 콘텐츠에는 물론 로봇과의 대화시스템, 치료나 재활을 위한 기능성 콘텐츠 등에 유용하게 사용될 것이다.
