Regulation of Haemolymph Juvenile Hormone Esterase Activity in Larvae of the Silkworm, Bombyx mori (누에 유충의 혈림프 유약호르몬 에스테라제 활성의 조절에 관한 연구)

  • Effects of starvation, ligation, refeeding and methoprene treatment in the feeding phase of the fifth instar larvae of Bombyx mori on the regulation of juvenile hormone esterase(JHE) activity were investigated. Starvation and ligation contributed to the reduction of JHE activity, however, JHE levels in starved larvae were slightly higher than in legated larvae. Haemolymph JEH activity of starved larvae was increased by refeeding, and duration of increasing time of JHE activity after starvation was related to duration of starvation. When starved larvae were applied methoprene topically, JHE activity were not changed at day 0 and 1, but were increased by 1.3-1.4 times between day 2 and 5. When ligated larvae were applied methoprene topically, JHE activity was not changed at day 0, but were increased by 1.9-2.3 times between day 1 and 5. These results suggest that head factor, juvenile hormone(JH) and nutrient are major factors in the regulation of JHE in the feeding phase of the fifth instar larvae of Bombyx mori. Especially JHE might be regulated by the co-operative action of head factor and JH. However, head factor plays important role in the early stage, while JH plays important role thereafter.

  • In Daesoon Jinrihoe (The Society of Daesoon Truth), pilgrimages can serve as a medium to experience and spread Daesoon Thought. The purpose of this study is to gauge the empirical impact that the motive of a pilgrimage has on the satisfaction level of the participant and the participant's willingness to revisit the holy place. This study further suggests a variety of propositions to promote pilgrimages and thereby Daesoon Thought. This study employs hierarchical analysis for measuring the correlation between all factors the pilgrimage can entail and also the moderator variables (holy places) in the pilgrimage. The study reveals that empirical motive is one of the most influential factors in determining a given participant's level of satisfaction and willingness to revisit said holy place. It is also revealed also that the religious significance of a holy place plays an important role in satisfaction and future revisitation. This study claims pilgrimages are a form of learning and cultural exchange which promotes Daesoon Thought that enables maturity of religious faith. Thereby, all stake holders in the Daesoon Jinrihoe community including clergy should increase their efforts to raise awareness and recognition of Daesoon Truth.

  • Generally, reservoir storage is allocated according to planned purposes established before construction and operating policies are established through release control. The established reservoir allocation is hardly changed unless the special cases such as raising dam or changed purposes occur It Is, however, likely that public needs and objectives can be changed as time go on, the study for multipurpose reservoir storage reallocation is performed as an alternative to reflect these. In this study, flood control analysis is performed for several alternatives of reallocation for the Daechung multi-purpose reservoir in Geum river. As a result, it is confirmed that flood control capability is not decreased compared to single operation of Daechung reservoir for the same flood condition even if conservation level of Daechung multi-purpose reservoir is increased.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of explicit and implicit product warranties on consumers' attitudes toward the products, and particularly, the main effects of product types and level of manufacturers' business ethics on the relationship between warranty types and consumers' attitudes. For this purpose, relevant literature was reviewed and thereupon, a survey was conducted for an empirical analysis. As a result of empirically analyzing the relationship between warranty types and consumers' attitudes and the main effects of the product types (search goods vs. experience goods) and level of business ethics (high vs. low) on the relationship, it was found that consumers' attitudes toward the products were more positive when the product warranty was explicit than when it was implicit, and that such relationship was stronger for experience goods than for search goods one. And, the relationship was stronger when the level of business ethics perceived was lower. However, such moderating effects were not significant for consumers' attitudes, but significant for their purchasing intention.

The Effect of Aralia Cordata Thunb and Cimicifuga Heracleifolia on Cartilage Protection by the Regulation of Metabolism in Human Osteoarthric Chondrocytes (퇴행성 관절염에 대한 독활.승마 복합처방의 대사조절을 통한 연골보호 효과)

  • 목적 : 퇴행성 관절염은 염증성 사이토카인인 IL-$1\beta$에 의해 연골관절이 파괴되고 이로 인해 염증성 사이토카인이 더욱 증가하는 질환이다. 퇴행성 관절염을 치료하기 위해서는 연골 파괴를 가속화시키는 catabolic cytokines의 활성을 줄이고, 성장인자인 anabolic factor의 활성을 증가시는 연골 보호 작용이 있어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 독활 승마 처방(OAH19T)이 catabolic/anabolic 대사 조절에 어떤 영향을 미치는지와 그 신호 전달 기전에 대해 연구하였다. 또한 OAH19T를 구성하는 단미재 및 임상에서 사용되는 COX-2 inhibitor인 Celebrex(CEL)와 효능을 비교 실험하였다. 방법 : 배양된 세포에 IL-$1\beta$로 자극한 후 (1) glycosaminoglycan(GAG)의 분해 억제 정도, (2) OAH19T와 CEL에 대하여 MMP-1과 MMP-3의 유전자 발현 및 활성 억제, (3) Aggrecan 및 Aggrecanases의 유전자 발현 및 활성 억제, (4) OAH19T의 growth factor의 조절 능력, (5) MAPK pathway 등을 RT-PCR(reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction), ELISA(Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay), western blot, viability 측정을 통해 검증했다. 결과 : 사람 관절 세포에서 (1) 독활 승마 각각의 단미재, 임상에서 사용중인 셀레콕시브(CEL), 조인스보다 실험 약물(OAH19T)이 저농도에서 GAG 분해 억제 효과가 우수하였고, 부탄올로 분획한 OAH19B와는 동등한 효과를 보였다. (2) OAH19T는 IL-$1\beta$에 의하여 활성화된 MMP-1과 MMP-3의 발현을 모두 억제하였으나, CEL은 MMP-1의 발현은 억제하였으나 MMP-3의 발현은 억제하지 못하였다. (3) OAH19T는 IL-$1\beta$에 의하여 손상된 Aggrecan을 회복시켰으며 이는 활성화된 Aggrecanase-1과 Aggrecanase-2를 억제시킴으로써 나타난 결과이다. 그러나 CEL의 경우, 손상된 Aggrecan을 회복시키지 못하였다. (4) 배양된 세포는 IL-$1\beta$에 의하여 TGF-$\beta$II및 TGF-$\beta$ receptor II의 발현이 억제되었으나, OAH19T는 TGF-$\beta$II및 TGF-$\beta$ receptor II의 발현을 회복시켜 OAH19T가 anabolic한 조절능력이 있음을 시사한다. 그러나 CEL의 경우 growth factor에 대한 조절 능력이 없었다. (5) 대사 조절 작용에 대한 기전으로서 MAPK pathway에 대해서 연구한 결과 IL-$1\beta$에 의하여 유도된 pERK, pp38 kinase의 활성은 억제하였고, pJNK의 활성은 변하지 않았다. 또한 OAH19T는 연골 세포에 독성이 없었으며 IL-$1\beta$에 의해 유도된 세포 증식만을 억제시켰다. 이 결과로, OAH19T가 OA chondrocyte의 탈분화 및 세포 고사를 억제하여 연골보호 및 회복 효과가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 결론 : OAH19T는 이를 구성하는 단미재 및 CEL보다 연골보호 효과가 월등하였고, 이러한 연골보호 효과는 catabolic cytokines/growth factors의 균형으로 대사조절을 통해 연골세포의 탈분화 및 세포 고사를 억제하여 연골보호 및 회복 효과가 있음을 알 수 있었다.

  • 본 장의 주제인 재조합 유전자의 발현 증대를 위하여는 우리가 알고 있는 대부분의 생명현상에 대한 지식들이 응용될수 있을 것으로 일단 믿어진다. 그러나 그 지식들은 하나의 장으로 모아지기에는 너무나 방대하며 또한 그 각각의 지식들을 어떻게 서로 조화시켜 유전자 발현증대를 꾀할 것이냐 하는 것은 상당한 노력이 더 필요할 것이다. 여기에서는 이미 그 응용이 가능하였던 내용들을 기초로하여 유전자 발현조절에 대하여 알고 있는 지식들을 어떻게 재조합 유전자 실험에 응용하여 그 발현증대를 시도할 수 있겠는가에 대하여 기술해 보고자 한다.

A Study of the Impact of Revisit Motivations on Franchise Restaurant - Focusing on the Moderator Effects of Web Rumors - (프랜차이즈 레스토랑의 이용동기가 재방문에 미치는 영향 연구 - 웹소문에 의한 조절효과 중심으로 -)

  • This research was conducted over four weeks from January 1, 2016 until May 30. Data was collected from self-adminstered questionnaires of dwontwon Seoul franchise restaurant customers. The data was subjected to regression analysis to analyze the impact of consumer motives on revisit intentioned. Results show that gourmet is B=0.553 (p<.001), convenient, B=0.093 (p<.05), social B=0.294 (p<.001), and showing off is B=0.085 (p<.01) consumer goods all have a significant positive influence on revisit intention. Second, a significant moderating effect of web based rumores on the relationship between consumer and franchise restaurants motives and re-visit, 0.683, F=116.279 (p<.001). The two-level models add additional explanatory power increase due to a consumer culture is 2.9% and F=26.791 (p<.001) to 'revisit' emerged as significant. Physical and Environmental Properties According to Borax Addition Ratios of Inorganic Filling Adhesive using Magnesia Silicate Phosphate (마그네시아 실리케이트 인산염을 활용한 무기충전 접착재의 붕사 첨가율에 따른 물리·환경적 특성)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop an inorganic filling adhesive using MKP and borax based on Dead-burn magnesia and fly ash. First, basic experiments was conducted to derive the proper addition rate of MKP. And this experiment was carried out according to addition ratio of borax. The test items are measured for pot life, flexural strength, compressive strength, adhesive strength, tensile strength, ratio of temperature change, ratio of hardening shrinkage, radon gas and formaldehyde emission. As a result, the proper addition rate of phosphate was 35%. The pot time is about 10minutes, 15minutes and 25minutes according to addition rate of borax. The flexural strength and compressive strength were obtained at 12hours for minimum flexural strength of 8.0MPa and minimum compressive strength of 31.0MPa. The tensile strength was the least 4.1MPa, and the ratio of hardening shrinkage was maximum 2.4% and ratio of heat change was maximum - 0.3%, which satisfied all of the quality standards of 'KS F 4923' (epoxy resin for repairing concrete structures). Both Radon gas and formaldehyde emission was not detected.

The Effect of Coffee Shop Selection Attributes on Revisit Intention: Focused on Mediating Effect of Brand Trust (커피 전문점 선택속성이 재방문의도에 미치는 영향: 브랜드 신뢰의 조절효과)

  • In Korea the consumption of coffee has been continuously increased last 10 years. During the period the market size and the numbers of the coffee shop also has been expanded dramatically. The purpose of this study was to examine whether the consumer's selection attributes of coffee shop affect the revisit intention of coffee shop and the brand trust had moderating effects between consumption attributes and revisit intention. Also it was analyzed whether there were statistic differences according to the demographic characteristics. For this study the survey was conducted on Seoul City and Kyeongki-do province and 600 questionnaires were distributed and 480 were collected and 470 samples were analyzed. The results of this study were as follows. All the factors of the consumer's consumption attributes of coffee shop had affected the revisit intention. And the factors of brand trust had moderating effects on revisit intention. There were statistic difference by gender for the additional services and there were also statistic difference according to the age group for the new technology environmental service of the inside of coffee shop. The implications of this study were the selection attributes of coffee shop were diverse and the brand trust were considered significant and the consumer's preferences were different according demographic characteristics such as gender, age, and incomes.
