Finding the K Least Fare Routes In the Distance-Based Fare Policy (거리비례제 요금정책에 따른 K요금경로탐색)

  • The transit fare resulted from the renovation of public transit system in Seoul is basically determined based on the distance-based fare policy (DFP). In DFP, the total fare a passenger has to pay for is calculated by the basic-transfer-premium fare decision rule. The fixed amount of the basic fare is first imposed when a passenger get on a mode and it lasts within the basic travel distance. The transfer fare is additionally imposed when a passenger switches from one mode to another and the fare of the latter mode is higher than the former. The premium fare is also another and the fare of the latter begins to exceed the basic travel distance and increases at the proportion of the premium fare distance. The purpose of this study is to propose an algorithm for finding K number of paths, paths that are sequentially sorted based on total amount of transit fare, under DFP of the idstance-based fare policy. For this purpose, the link mode expansion technique is proposed in order to save notations associated with the travel modes. Thus the existing K shortest path algorithms adaptable for uni-modal network analysis are applicable to the analysis for inter-modal transportation networks. An optimality condition for finding the K shortest fare routes is derived and a corresponding algorithms is developed. The case studies demonstrate that the proposed algorithm may play an important role to provide diverse public transit information considering fare, travel distance, travel time, and number of transfer.

An effective transform hardware design for real-time HEVC encoder (HEVC 부호기의 실시간처리를 위한 효율적인 변환기 하드웨어 설계)

  • In this paper, we propose an effective design of transform hardware for real-time HEVC(High Efficiency Video Coding) encoder. HEVC encoder determines the transform mode($4{\times}4$, $8{\times}8$, $16{\times}16$, $32{\times}32$) by comparing RDCost. RDCost require a significant amount of computation and time because it is determined by bit-rate and distortion which is computated via transform, quantization, dequantization, and inverse transform. This paper therefore proposes a new method for transform mode determination using sum of transform coefficient. Also, proposed hardware architecture is implemented with multiplexer, recursive adder/subtracter, and shifter only to derive reduction of the computation. Proposed method for transform mode determination results in an increase of 0.096 in BD-PSNR, 0.057 in BD-Bitrate, and decrease of 9.3% in encoding time by comparing HM 10.0. The hardware which is proposed is implemented by 256K logic gates in TSMC 130nm process. Its maximum operation frequency is 200MHz. At 140MHz, the proposed hardware can support 4K Ultra HD video encoding at 60fps in real time.

  • This paper proposes high-performance SAO(Sample Adaptive Offset) in HEVC(High Efficiency Video Coding) encoder for Ultra HD video processing in real time. SAO is a newly adopted technique belonging to the in-loop filter in HEVC. The proposed SAO encoder hardware architecture uses three-layered buffers to minimize memory access time and to simplify pixel processing and also uses only adder, subtractor, shift register and feed-back comparator to reduce area. Furthermore, the proposed architecture consists of pipelined pixel classification and applying SAO parameters, and also classifies four consecutive pixels into EO and BO concurrently. These result in the reduction of processing time and computation. The proposed SAO encoder architecture is designed by Verilog HDL, and implemented by 180k logic gates in TSMC $0.18{\mu}m$ process. At 110MHz, the proposed SAO encoder can support 4K Ultra HD video encoding at 30fps in real time.

Effects of Various Synchronization Methods on Postpartum Reproduction in Hanwoo (다양한 발정제어 방법이 한우의 분만성적과 분만후 차기번식에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effects of repetition usage of various estrus synchronization and seasonal breeding in Hanwoo. Body weight(kg) at birth and weaning in calves produced by seasonal breeding are 24.0kg, 75.6kg in female, 24.9kg, 78.3kg in male, respectively. Changes of birth weight(kg) by parity in Hanwoo increased gradually. Raising rates of calves by raising experience of farmer higher than in more 10 years as $88.4\%$ and in more 6 years as $84.0\%$. Delivering rates by induced estrus methods in $PGF_{2}{\alpha}$, PRID, CIDR and $GnRH-PGF_{2}{\alpha}-GnRH$ were $87.0\%$, $87.3\%$, $91.6\%$ and $96.0\%$, respectively. Conception days of post-partum following to induced estrus methods in Control, $PGF_{2}{\alpha}$ PRID, CIDR and $GnRH-PGF_{2}{\alpha}-GnRH$ were 137.1, 147.6, 141.3, 116.6 and 118.0 days, respectively. The results show that repetition usage of various estrus synchronization were not effective on postpartum reproduction in Hanwoo.

Blood Urea Nitrogen and Body Condition Score on Reproductive Efficiency in Korean Cattle (한우 번식효율에 대한 Blood Urea Nitrogen과 Body Condition Score의 영향)

  • The environmental impact of nutrient waste from agriculture has become an area of concern as ways to produce more food and of offspring. In dairy cattle, as the genetic capacity for milk production has increased, decreased fertility has become a severe problem by feeding high dietary protein, resulting in high concentration of blood urea nitrogen (BUN). There are numerous reports on BUN which is associated with reduced conception rates and closely related to body condition score (BCS) in lactating cattle, but not in Korean native cattle. This study was therefore performed to investigate the relation of BUN to both BCS and conception rates in Korean cattle. A total of 400 female Korean cattle (2∼5 years) in Daewanryong were used for this experiment. Feeding condition divided into two groups depending on grazing and darn feeding period. In grazing period, the mixture of Timothy, Orchard grass and Tall fescue, and concentrates (2.5 kg/day) was fed whereas hay (6.5 kg/day) and corn silage (20 kg/day) were fed while barn feeding period. Average BUN concentration at grazing and barn feeding were 7.39$\pm$2.65 mg/㎗ and 12.36$\pm$2.92 mg/㎗, respectively. During grazing period, high rates of pregnancy showed at 4∼8 mg/㎗ BUN concentration. In barn feeding period, 66%, of cattle were in pregnant at 8∼l4 mg/㎗ BUN concentration. The BCS for obtaining high rate of pregnancy raged at 2.5∼3.5. However, BUN did not directly relate to BCS in Korean cattle.

An Experimental Evaluation of AEB Equipped Passenger Vehicle for the Pedestrian Collision Situations (AEB 장착 승용차의 보행자 충돌상황에 관한 실험적 평가에 관한 연구)

  • This paper evaluated the performance of passenger vehicles with an AEB(Autonomous Emergency Braking) for various pedestrian-vehicle collision situations. The experiment was conducted at a speed of 30-60km/h on a 2017 3,000cc vehicle using a range of collision scenarios. The results showed that the test vehicle stopped before crashing a pedestrian dummy under all scenarios at 30km/h. The test vehicle reduced the speed but crashed the pedestrian dummy in all scenarios at 40-60km/h. From the paired t-test, there was a speed difference from the AEB system at a significant level of 0.05. In addition, the percentage of speed reduction was quite different for each scenario tested. It was concluded that the current AEB system can prevent pedestrian collisions at speed of 30km/h, but cannot prevent collisions with pedestrians at speed of 40-60 km/h.

Effect of Ovarian Changes according to Four Season for Reproduction of Jeju Crossbred Horses (Jeju crossbred에서 계절에 따른 난소주기 변화 연구)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the ovarian cycle changes of the mare according to the season. Twenty four Jeju crossbred horses(Thoroughbred ${\times}$ Jeju horse) raised in Subtropical Livestock Research Institute, National Institute of Animal Science, RDA were used to identify follicles and corpus luteum with ultrasonography once a week(May 2016~June 2017). Blood samples of experimental horses were collected twice a week for analysis of P4 hormone levels. The mares were considered to have resumed ovarian cyclicity on the day of ovulation if they followed by regular ovarian cycles. Only 13 cases(61.9%) of the total 21cases showed normal ovarian cycle, and 8 cases (38.1%) showed delayed ovarian cycle. Three cases(16.7%) in October, 5 cases(27.8%) in November and 5 cases(27.8%) in December(27.8%) ceased the heat and the remaining 5 cases(27.8%) showed that the estrus was maintained in winter. Horses that stopped estrus ceased the heat until March of next year, and 27.8% were continued the heat during non-breeding season. Eleven cases(61.1%) of 18 cases in April and 2 cases(11.1%) of 18 cases in May returned the estrus.

Finding a Minimum Fare Route in the Distance-Based System (거리비례제 요금부과에 따른 최소요금경로탐색)

  • The new transit fare in the Seoul Metropolitan is basically determined based on the distance-based fare system (DBFS). The total fare in DBFS consists of three parts- (1) basic fare, (2) transfer fare, and (3) extra fare. The fixed amount of basic fare for each mode is charged when a passenger gets on a mode, and it proceeds until traveling within basic travel distance. The transfer fare may be added when a passenger switches from the present mode to another. The extra fare is imposed if the total travel distance exceeds the basic travel distance, and after that, the longer distance the more extra fare based on the extra-fare-charging rule. This study proposes an algorithm for finding minimum fare route in DBFS. This study first exploits the link-label-based searching method to enable shortest path algorithms to implement without network expansion at junction nodes in inter-modal transit networks. Moreover, the link-expansion technique is adopted in order for each mode's travel to be treated like duplicated links, which have the same start and end nodes, but different link features. In this study, therefore, some notations associated with modes can be saved, thus the existing link-based shortest path algorithm is applicable without any loss of generality. For fare calculation as next steps, a mathematical formula is proposed to embrace fare-charging process using search process of two adjacent links illustrated from the origin. A shortest path algorithm for finding a minimum fare route is derived by converting the formula as a recursive form. The implementation process of the algorithm is evaluated through a simple network test.

Effect of Artificial Insemination Frequency on Reproductive Performance in Sows (인공수정 횟수가 모돈의 번식성적에 미치는 영향)

  • This experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of artificial insemination(AI) frequency on reproductive performance of sows. A total of 48 F1 sows(Yorkshire×Landrace) were allocated to 1 of 4 treatments using completely randomized design(CRD). Four experimental treatments were AI frequency from one to four times(AI1, AI2, AI3, AI4) respectively. Estrus detection was done at approximately 09:00 and 21:00 daily by applying back pressure to females with the presence of a mature boar and the weaning to estrus interval(WEI) of all sows were 5~6 day. Sows detected in estrus were mated at 12 hour after and mating interval was 12 hour by treatments. This experiment demonstrated that the lowest farrowing rate was observed AI3 treatment. Frequency of AI did not influence on reproductive performance when WEI was 5-6 day. No significant differences were observed on litter size, born alive and litter birth weight. Consequently, decreased AI frequency did not have any detrimental effect on reproductive performance when estrus detection was adequate. Decreased AI frequency could reduce cost of production of pigs when sows showed normal reproductive performance.

The Demand for Home Nursing Care of Hospital Inpatients in Brain-Spine and Musculoskeletal Diseases (종합병원의 뇌.척수.근골격계 입원환자의 가정간호요구)

  • This study was carried out to investigate agreement, content and demand for home nursing care of hospital inpatients in brain, spain and musculoskeletal diseases .The data was collected by interviewing with 242 patients who were hospitalized in university hospital on Taegu, from September 6,60 October 9, 1993. Of 242 patients, 66.1% agreed to home nusing care system and rate of agreement was highest between 30 years to 49 years of age as 75.5%, in middle urban area residents as 75.9% and was lowest in medicaid as 40.0% in general chareacteristics. The rate of agreement according to type of diagnosis was highest inpatients with spinal diseases as 75.6% according to functional status was the highest in patients who had daily living activity freely as 69.4% according to prognosis in patients at terminal stage as 80.0% and the rate of agreement to home nursing care of patients who wanted early discharege was 73.9%. The first-ranking reasom of agreement to home nursing care was asking for continuous relationship with doctor as 37.3% and there was statistically significant difference in reasons of agreement to home nursing care according to functional status of patients. The first-ranking reason of eary discharge among patients who wanted early discharge(74.8%) was because of long time stay in hospital. Among 23 items of nursing activity that patient wanted, the first-ranking item was recovery promotion, prevention of complication, education and counseling for health as 76.4%, drug management was 2nd-ranking item as 62.1% and the third was regular checking of vital signs as 55.9%. The lowest item of demand for home unring care was hospice care(3.9%) and airway keep(9.1%).
