This study is to investigate the stress and stress degree in mothers of autistic children. In order to obtain data for planning nursing strategies for mothers of autistic children The assessment tool for the stress was constructed through reviewing literatures on the stress and gathering the stress items by nonstructed face to face interviewing 14 mothers of autistic children The stress tool consists of 74 items each with five point rating scale A data collection was made front 160 mothers of autistic children from 11 institutions for autistic children in Seoul and Kyung-Ki province. The reliability coefficients by Cronbach's a test was 0.94 for the stress scale. The results are as follows : 1) The mean of stress is 3.19, in the area of the etiology, prognosis and the treatment-education, with cause of the treatment the edeucatlon and the prognosis of child's handicap. The mean of stress is 2.85 In the area of the negative of mother's self image, 2.45 in the area of the mother's ordinary life. The mean of stress was 2.05, lowest in the family and social relationship 2) The mean score for the total was 2.62 points. The items with highest stress score were 'All autistic child has not been understood by the society', 'If we die, 1'm afraid that this child will not be cared by someone', 'There is no institution that the child get the schoolibg', etc The stress item with the lowest mean score were 'Keep away the child from husband', 'Being divorced by husband', etc. 3) An analysis of relationship of stress degree to general characteristic shows a statisically significants difference in the number of children in the family and the cognition of the seventy of the child problem
The purpose of this paper is to suggest to tackle the problem of poor cooperation in space activities, by re-examining the nature of the competitive political environment, and by building up a normative overarching framework, One of the most acute problems that hampers regional cooperation is the U.S. influence as represented in the MTCR, a supplier's cartel, as was evidenced in the ill-fate of the 2001 launch contract between China and Korea the next year. Notably China, the third space power in the world, has not been allowed to join the MTCR despite her application in June 2004. A possible reconciliation between China and the MTCR over her application for a partnership would set a cornerstone in building up a cooperative environment in the Northeast Asia. Just as the Helsinki process was an overarching norm building framework, comprising human rights, security and environmental issues, it would be desirable that a future peace framework in Northeast Asia dealing with the pending issues of Korean peninsula should also comprise of such broad issues as one relating to cooperation in space activities in the region. South Korea could tap expertise from her neighbor China. When South Korea become an independent space power either with her own technology or otherwise, she would be in a better position to play a role as a balancer in coordinating between the two neighboring space giants. It is remarkable that the Japanese led APRSAT has contributed much in establishing Sentinel Asia as a part of the Disaster Management Scheme, in that each participant, whether it be a state agency, or a private entity like a university or a research institute, can tap the common data to contribute to the common good of safety.

The discovery of the mirror neuron system (MNS) is one of the most important neuroscientific achievements in the 20th century. Some researchers had reported that MNS dysfunction was discovered in autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Finally, the 'broken mirror' theory of ASD was announced in the mid 2000's. According to this theory, ASD cannot simulate the mind and behavior of others due to MNS dysfunction; therefore, they cannot imitate the behaviors and empathized with the mind of others. However, ASD does not always show imitation problems. The researchers who have criticized the 'broken mirror' theory proposed the 'social top-down response modulation (STORM)' theory. On STORM theory, the medial prefrontal cortex or temporo-parietal junction, brain areas related with mentalising, might modulate MNS according to social context. We compared the strengths and weaknesses of each theory.

To observe the clinical course and intestinal histopathology in heavy infection of Fibricola seoulensis, an experimental study was performed in mice. Clinical, experimental infection with 1, 000 metacercariae. On the 11th day after infection, the mice began to die and all of the infected mice were dead by the 16th day. The infected mice showed gradual weight loss. Occult blood was detected after the 10th day. Diarrhea accurred after the 9th day and was recognized in all of the infected mice on the 12th day. Hemoglobin and mean corpuscular hemoglobin decreased significantily after the 12th day, and mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration decreased in all infected mice. The histopathological changes were more marked in the duodenum than in the jejunum or ileum. Major changes were villous atrophy and crypt hyperplasia, with decreased villus/crypt ratio, inflammatory cell infiltration and stromal edema. The present results suggest that the cause of death of mice heavily infected with F. seoulensis should be malnutrition and severe fluid loss due to malabsorption, together with intestinal bleeding.

Objective : To provide a foundation to develop clinical training program based on a status of sensory integration therapy in Korea identified through the study. Methods : A questionnaire has been developed that is investigating such as environment of therapy, level of knowledge of therapist, and etc. The questionnaire was distributed from June 1st,2014 June 1 to August 31st,2014. The total questionnaire result collected and analyzed are 232 responses. Results : In terms of ratio of therapist who are administrating sensory integration, occupational therapist takes biggest percentage. In most case, it is equipped enough to do treatment in terms of space and tools. Generally, therapists are performing evaluation and documentation earnestly, and willingly participating to continued education and clinical training coursework. However, it is found that some cases are implementing treatment without through evaluation and/or without professional training. Conclusion : This study propose that sensory integration therapists need to train their clinical knowledge and skills through professional training education based on the Ayres Sensory Integration (ASI) theory. Most of professional trainings are administered in capital area currently. The educational opportunities need to be extend to outside of capital region so the level of clinical competence and the quality of the therapy service can be improved.

Treacher Collins syndrome(TCS) is a rare, incurable condition occurring in approximately 1 of 25,000 to 50,000 births. It may occur as a spontaneous mutation out of genetically normal parents or it may be manifested as an autosomal dominant pattern. TCS is characterized by facial deformities such as, underdevelopment of the maxilla, mandible and zygoma, malocclusion, bilateral deformities of auricles, antimongoloid slant of the palpebral fissures. The syndrome is often associated with cleft lip and palate, ear malformations and hearing loss, short stature, and anomalies of the heart and skeleton. Respiratory difficulty associated with air way obstruction may also be observed, and there is considerable difficulty in airway management during general anesthesia. It is necessary that dentists provide safe dental treatments and guidelines to TCS patients by providing adequate understanding about the characteristics of the syndrome and proper ways of managements. The purpose of this study is to report the dental and medical characteristics of the patient who visited the Department of Pediatric Dentistry, Yonsei University for multiple dental caries treatment and to review the literatures of TCS.

The gas-phase S_N2$ reactions can be classified into neutral bimolecular, solvated, and ionic reactions; the neutral bimolecular reaction proceeds via retention mechanism whereas the ionic reaction produces inversion products. In the reaction of solvated nucleophile with one solvent molecule, a six-center transition state (TS) is formed and the two processes i.e., retention and inversion, are found to compete with a favored path depending on the electronic effect of the nucleophile and substituents in the substrate and on the steric requirement. In the ionic reaction, the difference in the energy barrier between the two processes reduces to a small value when the substrate methyl group is made bulky, leaving ability of the leaving group is improved and at the same time the negative charge of the nucleophile is dispersed. When the reaction center atom in the $S_N2$ reaction is changed to a larger sized second row elements, the activation barrier decreases since the steric crowding in the penta-coordinated TS is relieved. However within the same row, the barrier was found to increase as the atomic size decreased. For the boron, B, the barrier height was the least since in addition to the relatively large atomic size compared to C and N, it forms tetra-coordinated TS so that the steric crowding becomes nearly negligible.

Objective : This study was to investigate the relationship between sensory processing patterns and sleep quality for poor sleepers enrolled in universities. Methods : The participants are 191 students, aged 18 to 25, at the 6 universities located in Busan, Daegu, and other Gyeongsang Provinces. These participants completed the Korean version of Adolescent/Adults Sensory Profile (AASP) and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). Results : The group with lower sleep quality of this study participants suggested low but positive correlation with sleep disturbance which is one of sleep quality components of the PSQI. Low sensory registration suggested high positive correlation and Sensory sensitivity suggested low positive correlation with daytime dysfunction. Conclusion : We identified that sensory processing patterns and sleep quality may influence each other and sleep quality can be more significantly influenced by specific sensory processing pattern. More studies requires on sleep quality and sensory processing patterns in children, adults, and elders.

Purpose: As dementia progresses, cognitive function decreasing leads to memory loss, speech degradation, time and space degradation and judgment degradation, which causes difficulties in carrying out tasks related to daily life. It was said that community-based non-drug intervention therapy for early dementia patients was important to participate in entertainment treatment, including activities such as awareness and exercise therapy, exercise rehabilitation, aerobic exercise, and art. Methods: This study conducted 15 experimental and 15 control groups(experimental group : Fumanet exercise, control group : general occupational therapy) for eight weeks at the Daycare Center in Gyeonggi-do to find out the impact of the Fumanet exercise program on cognitive and depression functions of the elderly. The pre-post evaluation used KGDS, MMSE. Results: There were significant differences between the two groups in the function of menopause, memory recall, attention concentration and calculation, and depression, and no significant results were obtatined in memory registration, language function, understanding and fracture. The Fumanet movement was judged to be effective in improving cognitive function and reducing depression for the elderly with dementia. Conclisions: The Fumanet movement was judged to be effective in improving cognitive function and reducing depression for the elderly with dementia.
