  • The aim of this treatise was to find out the factors related to the weight of a have in the original silkworm. The results obtained are as follows: 1. There is no relationship between the degumming rate and cocoon layer rate, but there is related with the weight of cocoon only in chinese strain. 2. There is no difference among the strains, but considerably differente in degumming rate among the species. 3. The degumming rate of female is higher than that of male.

  • This paper describes the results of 3 years project on the design and development of a 500 meter class ocean survery ROV model.   • This paper presents the optimum design of cylindrical shell under external pressure loading. Two kinds of material, Al7075-T6, Ti-6Al-4V, are considered. For each material, the design variable is a thickness of the unstiffened parallel middle body shell, and the state variable, constraint, is hoop stress and the object .function is total weight of the cylindrical shell. Optimization is performed by conventional FE Program, ANSYS. In addition, buckling analysis is performed for the middle body of the cylindrical shell. Finally, we calculates the payload of the cylindrical shell to keep neutral buoyancy with optimized thickness in deep-sea applications.

  • In recent years, unmanned underwater vehicles(UUVs) have emerged as viable technical solution for conducting underwater search, surveillance, and clearance operations in support of mine countermeasure missions(MCMs) because of her autonomy and long time endurance capability. It is necessary for UUV for MCM system design to define system specification from various configuration alternatives. This paper introduces a simulation model for mine countermeasure mission effectiveness analysis and presents some simulation results under various tide conditions for validation of the proposed simulation model.

  • Due to its unmanned feature and some of being matured underwater technologies, UUV(Unmanned Undersea Vehicle) is increasingly considered as a utility player in today's battle-field. The operational benefit of submarine-based UUV operation could be enormous yet the integration challenges are significant, particularly for most of small conventionally-powered submarines. In this paper, we consider UUV operational methodology via the conventional submarine's torpedo tube. Two previous attempts having been done to retrieve the UUV through torpedo tube are reviewed, and their pros and cons are also analyzed. Then, an alternative option is proposed for UUV operation via torpedo tube. In addition, some of practical challenges are also discussed in the paper.

  • This paper presents the results of the structural analysis and optimal design of the ROV to be operated at 6000m depth in the ocean. This will be the first domestic deep-sea ROV operating with an AUV and a launcher equipped with robot arms and the current weight is about 3 ton. initial optimal dimension of the frame is determined based on the stress analysis using FEA code ANSYS and design sensitivity and optimization results. The current design is the initial design and there is a possibility to change the design according to the modification of material, equipments and array of structure.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 홍수피해 잠재능 산정을 위하여 항목별 가중치 산정을 통한 계층화분석기법의 적용성을 평가하고자 한다. 홍수피해 잠재능 산정의 경우 유역의 특성에 따른 다양한 항목과 가중치를 적절하게 고려하여야 한다. 그러나 도시화 지역의 경우 외수력과 우수관 미설치에 대한 고려 없이 미리 정해진 절차에 의해 이루어지므로 실제 현장 조건을 정확하게 모사하지 못하고 있다. 따라서 위에서 언급한 것과 같이 두 가지 주요 항목을 홍수피해 잠재능 산정 절차에 반영하여 실제 상황을 보다 잘 모사하고 다양한 전문가 집단의 설문 결과를 반영하여 보다 정확한 판단을 하는 것이 필요하다. 연구결과 항목별 가중치 산정은 주요 항목의 가중치를 산정하는데 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 또한 외수력과 우수관 설치를 고려한 수정 방법은 홍수피해 잠재능 산정에서 보다 좋은 결과를 제시하였다.
