  • Analyzing mode choice among transportation demand estimate procedures is complicated and understanding characteristics of travelers is also difficult. Generally, it is well known that traveler choose mode considering psychometric factors and characteristic besides socio-demographic indicators. Accordingly, many researches has investigated on methodology that can be applied in mode choice to reflect psychometric factor or specific preference. Latent Class Analysis among various studies is recognized as the theoretically potential approach. This study focuses on class segmented using latent class cluster to analyze impact that included psychometric factors and characteristics on mode choice. It also provides evidence that mode choice model for each class and mode choice model not considering latent class are different. This study based on citizen's stated preference and revealed preference on a new transit on the Han river shows that latent class cluster analysis is the potential approach considering latent preference.

  • 기존의 추정된 화물 수요모형은 화물의 출하특성과 관련된 설명변수를 중심으로 추정되었으며, 이에 따라 수송수단 선택 과정에서 화주가 느끼는 실제의 인식 상황을 모형내에 적절히 반영하지 못하였다. 본 연구는 기존 연구가 갖는 한계점을 극복하고자 화주가 수송수단을 선택할 때 느끼는 인식상황을 모형 내에 적용시켜 수단 선택 특성을 분석하였다. 연구대상은 우리나라의 188개 제조업체에서 화물자동차로 출하한 내수용 화물이며, 연구의 범위도 현실 운송체계 내에서 화주의 수단선택 행태를 설명하는 단기간의 예측으로 제한하였다. 모형추정결과 우리나라의 공로화물수송을 해석하기 위해서는, 출하중량까지를 고려한 다항로짓모형 형태이면서 인식 요소를 행태변수로 추가한 모형을 이용하는 것이 가장 적절하다는 결론을 내렸다. 그리고 이에 따라 주요한 설명 변수들의 탄력성과 화주의 인식 요소에 대한 특성값을 분석하여 제시하였다. 연구결과는 활용성 측면에서 직접 활용이 가능한 것과 잠재적인 변화를 예측하는데 이용되는 것으로 구분된다. 먼저 직접활용이 가능한 것은 수송수단과 관계된 변수들을 해석하여 얻는데, 수송비용과 수송시간에 대한 계수값의 크기와 부호, 그리고 탄력성은 정부의 정책부서나 운송인의 계획수립에 직접 적용된다. 다음으로 화주의 인식 요소는 잠재적인 변화를 예측하는데 이용되며 각 요소가 갖는 탄력성 및 특징은 운송인의 고객관리 기준이된다.

An Estimation of the Market Potential for a New Service by Applying the Ordered Response Model (순위반응모형을 이용한 신규서비스 잠재시장규모의 추정)

  • In this research, we develope an estimation method for the estimation of the market potential in the new service (or product) diffusion model. The developed method is based on the ordered response model which can effectively incorporate the survey result of the multi-point scale intention for subscription as well as the responder's characteristics, the characteristics & attitudes of the related service. We also apply the developed method to an estimation of the market potential of the digital multimedia broadcasting (DMB) service. As a result, an optimistic and a pessimistic estimates of DMB market potential are 41.10% and 14.83% of the cellular subscribers respectively.

A Study on the Application of Latent Growth Model for Measuring the Outcomes of Library (도서관 성과 측정을 위한 잠재성장모형 적용에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to discuss the application of the Latent Growth Model to measure the outcomes of public library. For outcome measurements, library circulation data were collected to identify longitudinal changes of library users' reading habit. The latent growth model was applied to statistically test the changes over time. The circulation data of 95,962 users registered in some public libraries in Seoul, ranged between 2010 and 2015, were analyzed using unconditional model, conditional model, and growth mixture model which all are called the latent growth model. The results show that the intercept of the model is 4.19 and the slop is 0.24 in the linear growth model. The gender difference in two latent variables including intercept and slop was a shade difference. The result from the growth mixture model analysis, additionally indicates that the number of books checked out by children under age 10 is rapidly increased. The application of the latent growth model in library fields is expected to widely spread out for the longitudinal data analysis.

Structural Equation Model for Bus Service Evaluation (버스의 서비스평가 구조모형에 관한 연구)

  • 본 연구에서는 2개의 사례지구에 대한 설문조사를 통해 서비스평가 구조모형을 개발하였다. 모형의 가설로서 요인분석과 신뢰성 분석 등을 통해 구성된 '질적서비스에 대한 인식', '이동성에 대한 인식 '환승에 대한 인식', '경제성에 대한 인식'이란 인지서비스(Perceived service)를 나타내는 4개의 잠재변수는 '개인속성'과 '교통특성'이란 잠재변수의 영향을 받으며, 상호 구조적인 관계를 가지고 전반적인 만족도로 대표되는 '서비스평가'에 영향을 미친다고 가정한다. 모형추정결과, 기초적합지수(GFI)가 상인·월성 0.864, 지산·범물 0.807로 나타났고, 조정 적합지수 (AGFI)는 상인·월성 0.823. 지산·범물 0.759로 나타나 적합성은 대체로 양호하다고 할 수 있다. 또한 두 지역 모두에 있어서 잠재변수 간이나 잠재변수와 관측변수간의 인과계수의 유의성도 2, 3개의 인과계수를 제외하면 모두 5% 유의수준에서 유의한 것으로 나타나 전체적으로 모형이 타당하다고 판단된다. 상인·월성의 경우, 운전기사에 대한 인식치가 '서비스평가'에 미치는 영향력이 가장 크며, 요금수준과 더불어 직접적으로 '서비스평가'에 영향을 미치고 있다 기타 편리성, 쾌적성, 시설 및 운영성이 중요한 원인으로 작용하고 있다는 것을 시사하고 있다. 지산·범물의 경우, 쾌적성, 시설 및 운영성, 편리성이 '서비스평가'에 직접적으로 큰 영향력을 미치고 있다. 특히 이러한 '질적서비스에 대한 인식'은 버스의 현행 요금수준과 대기시간에, 그리고 유의성이 높다고 할 수 없지만 이용자의 연령과 버스이용빈도에 영향을 받고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

Developing a Latent Class Model Considering Heterogeneity in Mode Choice Behavior : A Case of Commuters in Seoul (수단선택의 이질성을 고려한 잠재계층모형(Latent Class Model) 구축: 서울시 통근자를 사례로)

  • It is crucial to understand how people make decisions on mode choice and to accurately predict their behaviors in transportation planning. One of avenues for advancing modeling is, in particular, taking into account for taste heterogeneity in modeling that can incorporate different decision-making processes across group. In this study, we hypothesize that how people make decisions on mode choice would differ by destination in that land use characteristics are heterogeneous by zone even if zones are all in the same area. To this end, we apply Latent Class Modeling (LCM) to commute trips in Seoul by using 2010 household travel diary survey, investigate types of latent classes with the aid of characteristics of destination, and analyze how those classes differently response to factors. The LCM identifies two classes: in the first one, modal split of auto and public transit (bus and metro) is almost half-and-half and the trip destinations are characterized by relatively more residence facilities and less business/commercial facilities; in the second one, public transit has a notably high share and trip destinations are characterized by relatively more business/commercial facilities. In addition, it turns out that demographic and socio-economic variables affect mode choice differently by class.

동적 불완전 수리 모형 및 분석 절차의 개발

  • 본 연구는 유지, 보수되는 상시 작동 시스템에 대한 신뢰성 분석을 위해 동적 불완전 수리모형 및 분석 절차의 개발을 수행하였다. 또한 수리 상태에 대한 데이타가 완전히 잠재적(masked)이라 하더라도 기본 분포(base-line distribution)가 와이블 분포라는 가정하에 모수적 추정 절차를 개발하였다. 개발된 추정 절차는 기본적으로 EM(Expectation and Maximization : EM) 알고리즘의 틀(framework)을 유지하고 있다. 특히 최소 수리 특성으로 인해 분포가 변화함에 따라 발생하는 추정의 어려움을 해결하기 위해 데이타 변환(transformation)식을 제시하고 이러한 변환 데이타를 사용함으로써 추가적 데이타의 요구없이 잠재적 데이타를 사용하여 추정을 가능하게 하는 모수 추정 알고리즘을 제시하였다.

Heterogeneity Tests of the Potential Labor Force among Not-employed in Korea (미취업자 분류의 잠재노동력 차별성 검정)

  • The paper focuses on the question of whether and how the labor underutilization indicator supplements the unemployment rate. The research is based on the differences in the labor market behavior among three groups of the not-employed; the unemployed, potential labor force and the rest of outside the labor force. The annual transition rate among the labor market states shows that the potential labor force has the explicit unmet need for employment different from the rest of the outside the labor force. The multinomial logit regression controlling the effects of individual characteristics rejects the hypothesis that the potential labor forces are behaviorally identical to the unemployed. The evidence shows that the two indices should be interpreted distinctively.

Trajectories of the elderly's life satisfaction after their retirement: A longitudinal Growth Curve Model (은퇴 후 생활만족도의 종단적 변화와 예측요인 : 잠재성장모형을 이용하여)

  • This study has a purpose to analyze trajectories of life satisfaction of the elderly after their retirement and how the characteristics of individual, retirement and family relationship have an effect on the life satisfaction. This study has investigated the Korean elderly, who had been retired, using the data from three waves(1st wave(2005)~3rd wave(2009) of the Korean Retirement and Income Panel(KReIS). Data analysis has been used to identify the predictors of the intercept and slope related to the life satisfaction after retirement, focusing the trajectories of the life satisfaction after retirement and individual characteristics, retirement characteristics and family relationship with application of the growth curve model by Amos 20.0. First, the intercept of the life satisfaction after retirement was somewhat below average. Life satisfaction averagely increased little by little from 1st wave to 3rd wave. Second, by conducting the conditional growth curve model, the study revealed that the intercept of the life satisfaction after retirement is high on individual characteristics(sex, educational level, income, health status) and in retirement characteristics(voluntary retirement) and satisfaction with family relationship and married life). Furthermore, health status, voluntary retirement, and satisfaction with family relationship asserted the meaningful variables in the slope of life satisfaction after retirement.

Marginal Abatement Cost Analysis for the Korean Residential Sector Using Bottom-Up Modeling (상향식 모형을 이용한 국내 주거부문의 온실가스 한계감축비용 분석)

  • A marginal abatement cost analysis has been conducted to analyze the effects of abatement measures on greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for the Korean residential sector. A bottom-up model using MESSAGE has been developed by defining the energy demand and constructing the reference energy system for the residential sector. A great amount of activity data has also been analyzed. Abatement potentials and related costs of individual abatement measures are investigated. The result from the marginal abatement cost analysis may provide general guidelines and procedures for the establishment of GHG abatement polices.
