  • The purpose of this study is to develop furniture design for the apartment based on the market research of furniture and interior design, and the survey on the design preference of hte apartment residents. The apartment furniture in living rooms, bed rooms and kitchens are designed according to the design concepts of preference image of apartment sizes: that of mid-size apartment(34pyung type) is Natural Modern image, large-size(59pyung type) is Korean Modern image, and extra large-size(81pyung type) is Classic Modern image. The living furniture is designed smaller in order to use the space flexibly, and the built-in furniture of bed rooms is designed simply like the wall of a room to be felt larger, basically. The furniture in kitchen is composed of the storage zone by high cabinets and the display zone by open shelves.

Electron beam 용접전원 system의 제어기술

  • Electron beam 용접은 전자총에서 발생된 electron beam을 렌즈로 집속시켜 고 에너지의 열원을 얻는 것을 기본 원리로 하고 있다. Electron beam은 렌즈에 의해 매우 작게 집속(0.1 - 1mm.PHI.)시켜 높은 에너지밀도로 만들 수 있으므로 용접을 매우 깊게(수십 - 수백 mm) 할 수 있다. 이러한 용접 특성은 모재의 열변형을 최소로 하여 용접 부위가 원래의 성질을 잃어버리는 것을 최소화한다. 그러나, deep welding 의 경우 입력 파워 밀도가 너무 큰 관계로 계면 부위가 기계적 충격에 약하다는 단점 을 갖고 있다. Electron beam 용접은 서로 다른 금속을 filler material 없이 용접할 수 있으며 복잡한 구조의 용접이 가능하다. 또한 대부분의 electron beam 용접은 진공 중에서 이루어지기 때문에 공기의 영향을 받지 않는다는(산화 방식) 특성을 갖고 있다. 즉, 공기와의 접촉이 적기 때문에 산화가 방지되고 용접 순도가 매우 높다는 장점을 갖고 있다. 이는 반면 장치가 거대해지고 비싸다는 단점으로 작용한다. 1980년대 부터 이러한 단점의 극복을 위해서 대기중에서의 electron beam 용접에 관한 연구가 수행 되어 실용화 단계에 이루고 있다. 최근 전자, computer기술의 발달로 electron beam 출력을 더욱 더 정밀하게 조절할 수 있고, computer와 sensor의 결합으로 자동용접 위치 제어와 NC(Numerical Control) 작업대의 설치로 완전 자동화 용접 공정이 가능 하다. 그 결과 높은 용접 속도를 얻을 수 있으며 무인 생산 체계에로의 응용이 가능 하다.

3-Dimensional Measurement of the Prismatic Polyhedral Object using Machine Vision. (Machine Vision을 이용한 기둥형 물체의 3차원 측정)

  • This paper presents a method to measure tile position and orientation of a prismatic polyhedral object (of unknown width, length, height, and number of vertices) using machine vision. The width, length, and origin of workplace where an object is lying are defined as Preliminary operation. The edges of an object are detected from captured image using least sum of square error. The information of an object is determined from the geometric relationships between edges. As an user interface, a versatile image processing program is developed in several modules, and renders a very useful 3D measurement at a limited constraints when adopted in automation of production process. The flexibility of camera position from the algorithm developrf can be used for automated pick and place operations and feeding workpiece u: ;ing assembly robot.

  • This is the third consecutive study on the 'Standardization of Measurements for Korean Kitchen work cneters and cabinets for future design criteria I, II'. The present research consisted of two studies 1) the examination of attitudes and responses of consumers toward kitchen work centers and cabinets, and 2) comparision of actual measurements with the models suggested in study II. Homemakers of upper and middle class residing in Seoul were selected for the survey: 1,096 survey questionaires on consumer attitudes and 95 questionnaires on actual measurements were used. Data were analyzed using the SAS computer package.

Aerial Working Platform Training Simulator (고소작업대 조종훈련용 시뮬레이터)

  • Aerial working platform is recently used broadly in heavy industry and construction field and also the utilization of it is growing. However, the raise of critical incident caused by unskilled operator is increasing gradually. To reduce and prevent such incident, the training for operating is essential. It's not easy to cover the requirements for the training with real platform because of the high price of it, safety and weather condition. This paper proposes a simulator for the training based on virtual reality to give the training safely regardless to the weather condition and the simulator is deliverable in lower price than real one. The simulator proposed in this paper is available to be set according to the level of trainee managing the assessment level and be also applied for the design of general heavy equipment training simulator based.

  • The work plate in a construction sites is a frequent cause of falling. But the bulk of the work plates lent to the construction site are handled carelessly by workers. There is general concern about performance declining by repetitive use. However, there is not a accurate guide, research and study on reuse work plate. This study was conducted in order to judge the classification guide to reuse work plate and measure the performance of classified reuse work plates. It is the result that even the A-grade plates classified to be in good shape by workers are below the performance standard. This means that the guide and classification are ineffective.

  • The purpose of this study is developing basic module of kitchen furniture design by considering the dimensions of work-surfaces, such as the size of worktable and the length of the kitchen furniture based on the physical size of a human scale and the behavior in the kitchen and the size of goods. In conclusion, this study develops a basic module of the kitchen furniture and suggests the new dimension for the kitchen based on the human scale and demand for the kitchen goods thus, it is expected to use it as a basic data for the kitchen space study and kitchen furniture industry.

Review of Safety Measures through Analysis of Accidents on the Vehicle-mounted MEWP(mobile elevated work platforms) (차량 탑재형 고소작업대의 사고분석을 통한 안전대책 고찰)

  • In this paper, we analyze various cases of accidents caused by vehicle-mounted MEWPs(mobile elevated work platforms) which are most widely used for the high position level works, review the safety improvement measures for each of them, and propose basic data for the revision of related laws. The accidents by MEWPs were caused by the high level of works, which lead to fatal personnel accidents, so the measures for safety must be thoroughly carried out and the obligatory regulations by the related laws must be strictly observed. In this paper, we classify the cases of accidents at the workshop as 4 representative types and propose measures and remedies for them. According to the current regulations, it is possible to prepare for the accidents such as the wire rope breakage by switching to the all-chain drive method which does not have a daily use time limit instead of the wire rope drive method which is widely used at present. Also, it is suggested to add the daily use timetable to the nameplate attachment duty item according to the driving class.
