  • 봉네트는 온라인 한글 필기 글씨 모델이다 [신92]. 글씨를 자소와 연결획의 결합구조로 보고, 각 자소 및 연결획 모델을 정의한 후, 이들을 제자 원리에 따라 네트워크 구조로 설계한 모델이다. 본 논문에서는 봉네트가 소개된 후 지난 일년 동안 수행되었던 실험 및 모델 검증의 결과와 앞으로도 계속될 개선책을 소개하고, 동 모델의 바탕이 된 통계적 인식 이론을 정립하고자 한다.

A Study on Printed Hangeul Recognition with Dynamic Jaso Segmentation and Neural Network (동적자소분할과 신경망을 이용한 인쇄체 한글 문자인식기에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we present a method for dynamic Jaso segmentation and Hangeul recognition using neural network. It uses the feature vector which is extracted from the mesh depending on the segmentation result. At first, each character is converted to 256 dimension feature vector by four direction contributivity and $8\times8$ mesh. And then, the character is classified into 6 class by neural network and is segmented into Jaso using the classification result the statistic vowel location information and the structural information. After Jaso segmentation, Hanguel recognition using neural network is performed. We experiment on four font of which three fonts are used for training the neural net and the rest is used of testing. Each font has the 2350 characters which are comprised in KS C 5601. The overall recognition rates for the training data and the testing data are 97,4% and 94&% respectively. This result shows the effectivness of proposed method.

A Study on Character Recognition using Wavelet Transformation and Moment (웨이브릿 변환과 모멘트를 이용한 문자인식에 관한 연구)

  • In this thesis, We studied on hand-written character recognition, that characters entered into a digital input device and remove noise and separating character elements using preprocessing. And processed character images has done thinning and 3-level wavelet transform for making normalized image and reducing image data. The structural method among the numerical Hangul recognition methods are suitable for recognition of printed or hand-written characters because it is usefull method deal with distortion. so that method are applied to separating elements and analysing texture. The results show that recognition by analysing texture is easily distinguished with respect to consonants. But hand-written characters are tend to decreasing successful recognition rate for the difficulty of extraction process of the starting point, of interconnection of each elements, of mis-recognition from vanishing at the thinning process, and complexity of character combinations. Some characters associated with the separation process is more complicated and sometime impossible to separating elements. However, analysis texture of the proposed character recognition with the exception of the complex handwritten is aware of the character.

On-Line Korean Character Recognition by the Stroke Information of Korean Phoneme in Multimedia Terminal (한글 자소의 획 정보에 의한 멀티미디어 단말기에서의 온라인 한글 문자 인식)

  • The Korean character recognition technology for user interface in multimedia terminal requires fast processing time and high recognition rate. In this paper, we propose an phoneme and character recognition technology which uses characteristic information of korean and features of input strokes, i.e, feature point, feature vector, virtual vector, position relation between strokes. And, a recognition both phoneme and character by the various writing types of users uses korean database. The Korean database has been constructed by the characteristic information of korean and phoneme models which have various stroke information. Also, we use successive processing by the position relation between strokes and backtracking processing by the modification processing of stroke numbers which composed of each phoneme. This method reduces the complex processing of phoneme separation. The proposed on-line korean character recognition system has obtained 13msec average character processing time and correct recognition rate more than $95{\%}$ In a recognition experiment, where we tested 600 characters written by 10 people among 1,200 words.

Effects of Orthographic Knowledge and Phonological Awareness on Visual Word Decoding and Encoding in Children Aged 5-8 Years (5~8세 아동의 철자지식과 음운인식이 시각적 단어 해독과 부호화에 미치는 영향)

  • This study examined the relation among orthographic knowledge, phonological awareness, and visual word decoding and encoding abilities. Children aged 5 to 8 years took letter knowledge test, phoneme-grapheme correspondence test, orthographic representation test(regular word and irregular word representation), phonological awareness test(word, syllable and phoneme awareness), word decoding test(regular word and irregular word reading) and word encoding test(regular word and irregular word dictation). The performances of all tasks were significantly different among groups, and there were positive correlations among the tasks. In the word decoding and encoding tests, the variables with the most predictive power were the letter knowledge ability and the orthographic representation ability. It was found that orthographic knowledge more influenced visual word decoding and encoding skills than phonological awareness at these ages.

Effects of the Orthographic Representation on Speech Sound Segmentation in Children Aged 5-6 Years (5~6세 아동의 철자표상이 말소리분절 과제 수행에 미치는 영향)

  • The aim of this study was to find out effect of the orthographic representation on speech sound segmentation performance. Children's performances of the orthographic representation task and the speech sound segmentation task had positive correlation in words of phoneme-grapheme correspondence and negative correlation in words of phoneme-grapheme non-correspondence. In the case of words of phoneme-grapheme correspondence, there was no difference in performance ability between orthographic representation high level group and low level group, while in the case of words of phoneme-grapheme non-correspondence, the low level group's performance was significantly better than the high level group's. The most frequent errors of both groups were orthographic conversion errors and such errors were significantly more noticeable in the high level group. This study suggests that from the time of learning orthographic knowledge, children utilize orthographic knowledge for the performance of phonological awareness tasks.

  • The segmentation of characters is an important step in the automatic recognition of handwritten text. This paper proposes the segmenting method of off-line handwritten Hangul. The suggested approach is based on the structural characteristics of Hangul. The first step extracts the local features. connected component and strokes from the imput word. In the second step we identify the class of strokes. The third segmenting step specifies WRC(White Run Column) before consonant or horizontal vowel. If the segment is longer than threshold, the system estimates segmenting columns using the consonant-vowel information and column features, and then finds a cornered boundary along the strokes within the estimated segmenting columns.

  • 한글 글꼴을 새롭게 만들려면 지금까지는 기본 글자인 자소를 디자인하든지 아니면 완성된 글자 전체를 디자인해야 했다. 조합형의 글자디자인의 경우, 전체 글자가 아니라 부분적인 한글 전자사전은 많은 양의 데이타를 저장할 수 있어야 하며, 빠른 검색 속도를 제공해야 한다. 기존의 트라이는 공통접두사만을 압축하기 때문에 사전의 크기가 방대하다는 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 DAWG(Directed Acyclic Word Graph)를 이용하여 공통접미사까지 압축하였고, 검색과 기억장소의 효율을 위하여, 링크드리스트 구조의 DAWG를 유형별 배열 구조로 바꾸었다. 전국의 각 학교 이름들을 대상으로 실험한 결과, 본 논문에서 제안한 DAWG를 이용한 배열 구조의 사전은 트라이와 비교하여 볼 때, 검색 연산의 성능은 동일하게 유지하면서 기억 장소의 효율과 압축율에서 효과적이었다. 또한, 트라이보다 주기억장치와 보조기억장치와의 블록 입출력횟수를 줄임으로써 전체 검색 시간을 낮출 수 있었다.소를 디자인하기 때문에 전체 글자의 모양이 좋지 않다는 단점이 있었고 완성형의 경우 완성된 글자 전체를 모두 디자인해야하는 단점이 있었다. 본 논문에서는 한글 글꼴 개발의 한 방법으로 제한된 글자의 디자인에 의한 전체 글꼴 생성에 관한 한 방법을 제시한다. 이 방법은 표준으로 설정된 몇 글자를 디자인하면 그 글자를 분석하여 자소들을 위한 글꼴 화일이 만들어지고 자소 글꼴 화일로부터 다른 모든 글자를 만들어 낸다.

Structured Korean Font Generator Using METAFONT (METAFONT를 이용한 구조적 한글 폰트 생성기)

  • Radicals of Korean characters consist of some strokes, and complete letters are comprised of a combination of radicals. During the process of combining strokes and radicals, it requires a lot of effort as the size and the position of the components can be changed. Unlike this, METAFONT can improve the efficiency in the production process of fonts by changing its parameters. It also provides a system which can easily transform size and position of the strokes and radicals. We propose a structural Korean font generator which allows users to modify parameters of letters through METAFONT and generates a variety of fonts automatically. The suggested Korean font generator can be applied to font embedding and font editor.

Korean Sentiment Analysis using Multi-channel and Densely Connected Convolution Networks (Multi-channel과 Densely Connected Convolution Networks을 이용한 한국어 감성분석)

  • 본 논문은 한국어 문장의 감성 분류를 위해 문장의 형태소, 음절, 자소를 입력으로 하는 합성곱층과 DenseNet 을 적용한 Text Multi-channel DenseNet 모델을 제안한다. 맞춤법 오류, 음소나 음절의 축약과 탈락, 은어나 비속어의 남용, 의태어 사용 등 문법적 규칙에 어긋나는 다양한 표현으로 인해 단어 기반 CNN 으로 추출 할 수 없는 특징들을 음절이나 자소에서 추출 할 수 있다. 한국어 감성분석에 형태소 기반 CNN 이 많이 쓰이고 있으나, 본 논문에서 제안한 Text Multi-channel DenseNet 모델은 형태소, 음절, 자소를 동시에 고려하고, DenseNet 에 정보를 밀집 전달하여 문장의 감성 분류의 정확도를 개선하였다. 네이버 영화 리뷰 데이터를 대상으로 실험한 결과 제안 모델은 85.96%의 정확도를 보여 Multi-channel CNN 에 비해 1.45% 더 정확하게 문장의 감성을 분류하였다.
