The Effect of Railway Corporation Leadership of Middle Manager Employees' on Empowerment and Innovative Behavior (철도운영기업 중간관리자의 리더십이 종사원들의 임파워먼트와 혁신행동에 미치는 영향)

  • This paper empirically analyzed the effect that the leadership of middle managers had on empowerment and innovative behavior, as measured by employees of a domestic railway corporation. The results demonstrate that transactional leadership had a positive effect on both empowerment and innovative behavior. However, transformational leadership did not exhibit immediate effects on innovative behavior. In addition, it was also found that empowerment completely mediated the relationship between transformational leadership and innovative behavior. Therefore, the results of this study imply that the leadership of middle managers in a railway corporation is an important influential factor which causes innovative behavior in employees. Specifically, to induce voluntary innovative behaviors in employees through transformational leadership, utilizing empowerment to instill a right to make decisions through the delegation of the right is a very important factor.

Effects of Shared Writing Strategies on Children's Writing Behaviors and Abilities (함께 쓰기 전략이 유아의 쓰기 행동 및 능력에 미치는 효과)

  • This study investigated the effects of shared writing strategies within a whole language approach on children's writing behaviors and abilities. The subjects were thirty-six 5-to 6-year-old kindergarten children, 18 each in the experimental and control groups. The results indicated a significant increase in frequency of spontaneous writing, quantity of writing, and quality of writing in the experimental group compared with the control group. The educational implications for kindergarten teachers are that teachers need to integrate shared writing strategies into teacher-initiated activities and use various strategies of whole language to improve literacy learning for children.

  • 설득 테크놀로지(persuasive technology)란 컴퓨터화된 다양한 시스템을 이용하여 사용자의 행동 양식과 태도를 변화시키는 상호작용 기술을 의미한다. 설득 테크놀로지는 사람들의 태도나 행동을 변화시키기 위해 미리 어떠한 의도를 가지고 설계된다. 즉 어떠한 목적을 가진 설득 테크놀로지냐에 따라서 설득의 전략이 달라지는 것이다. 설득에 영향을 주는 수많은 요인들 중에서 어떤 것을 적절히 활용하느냐가 설득 전략의 기초가 된다. 설득 테크놀로지는 광고, 교육, 안전 등 여러 분야에서 사용이 되고 있다, 그 중에서도 최근 주목 받고 있는 식생활 및 다이어트에 관한 셀프 모니터링(self-monitoring) 설득 테크놀로지를 설계할 때 어떠한 설득 전략을 세워야 하는지 연구해 보았다. 다이어트를 위한 식생활 변화를 위해서는 사람들의 자발적인 행동과 태도 변화를 이끌어 내는 것을 목적으로 해야 하기 때문에 구체적인 사용자 동기 유발 전략을 필요로 한다. 인간의 동기 유발을 위한 설득 전략으로 동료 압력(peer-pressure), 정보원의 공신력(information source public trust), 피드백(feedback) 방법을 다이어트 설득 테크놀로지에 적용 시켜 어느 정도 효과가 있는지 살펴보았다. 이 연구는 이러한 요인들을 적용한 다이어트에 대한 동기유발 실험을 통해 각 요인들간의 설득의 정도를 비교 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 이 연구의 결과는 다이어트, 금연 등의 생활패턴의 개선 이외에도 의료, 교육, 환경 등 다양한 분야에서 사용자가 스스로를 좋은 방향으로 나아가게 동기화 시키는 컴퓨터화 된 기술을 개발하는 토대가 될 수 있을 것이다.

Effects of Supervisor's Authentic Leadership on Job Performance for Employees: Focused on the Mediating Effect of Organizational Commitment and Organizational Citizenship Behavior (상사의 진성리더십이 구성원의 직무성과에 미치는 영향: 조직몰입과 조직시민행동의 매개효과 중심으로)

  • This study is aimed at suggesting the implications about the importance of authentic leadership through the analysis of what influence of supervisor's authentic leadership has on job performance for employees. Especially, this study investigates whether employee's organizational commitment, organizational citizenship behavior mediates the relationship between authentic leadership and job performance. Survey was carried out among employees in a variety of organizations. Total 440 sheets of sample have been derived and analysed by SPSS/WIN 24.0 and Stata 14.0. The result revealed that supervisor's authentic leadership was positively related to organizational commitment, organizational citizenship behavior, and job performance for employees. Further, organizational commitment, organizational citizenship behavior mediated the effects of authentic leadership on employee's job performance. The salient point was that in order to improve employee's job performance is to improve the employee's voluntary participation and cooperation behavior through the supervisor's authentic leadership.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence and effects of perceived organizational support on the organizational citizenship on the basis of perception of the importance of organizational support. In modern society, the perception of perceived organizational support and the manufacturing industry as well have been becoming more important, and, if, besides the manufacturing industry, the interest in the support to and the welfare of the employees could be taken in the service and distribution industries, too, the employees come to realize the organizational support, which causes them to be immersed in their duties and show more organizational citizenship for their organizations and colleagues. Accordingly, in order to enhance the employees' outcome, the organizations should support their employees and provide help more, letting the employees perceive the support of the organization more actively. Consequently, it can be said that the perceived organizational support is able to strengthen the employees' outcome and motivate the organizational citizenship as well.

  • This thesis interrogates the term a performer's 'spontaneity' as the key principle to approach and enhance contemporary performer's training and acting. Drawing on a number of problematic issues, this thesis particularly examines the paradigm of the subtle bodily movement inform the experience of a performer's spontaneity as embodied and understood in approaching and adapting through text analysis and action. The in-depth process of the relationship between a performer's action and the transformative effects, is central to understanding and adapting the key principle of acting/training that a specific text would pursue through a specific performance by means of what a performer must do on stage. Following the discussion of acting in training and rehearsal, this thesis argues the necessity of an alternative way(s) and model of the performer's work via how the performer's action is sincerely emerged from the moment-by-moment rather than the performer anticipates what comes in the next and therefore pretend to do/be something/someone. Expanding upon the assumptions mentioned above, this thesis provides some pragmatic and descriptive work(s) from the practitioners' concepts and approaches that invites us to reconsider the nature of acting and its adaptability for contemporary performers.

The Effects of College Students' Motivation to Participate in Bodybuilding (Participation in Weight Training) on Behavioral Intention through Psychological Repulsion (대학생의 보디빌딩 참여하는(웨이트 트레이닝 참여) 동기가 심리적 반응을 통한 행동 의도에 미치는 영향)

  • Interest in bodybuilding, such as weight training, has increased, but research on the motivation and behavioral intention of college students is lacking. Therefore, this study aimed to examine the motives of bodybuilding participation for college students and to find out the effect on behavioral intention by mediating the psychological resistance that occurs during the bodybuilding. As for the research method, a questionnaire was conducted on 250 users through an online survey from May 30 to June 10, 2023, and a total of 232 copies were used for the final analysis. As a result of the study, first, among college students' motivation to participate in weight training, the health-oriented type and self-development type had a positive effect on voluntary acceptance. Second, among the motives for participating in weight training, the home-oriented type was found to have a negative effect on opportunistic acceptance. Finally, voluntary acceptance had a positive effect on learning outcomes, and opportunistic acceptance had a negative effect on learning outcomes. Using the results of this study, it is expected that it will be helpful to understand the factors and policies in promoting the physical health of college students.

  • In digital convergence environment, information security management plays crucial role in maintaining firms' competitiveness. Organizational citizenship behavior(OCB) enables informations security countermeasures to be more effectively worked by helping employees to have much knowledge of information security policy, by facilitating employees to participate in information security education/training. Thus, the purpose of this study is to investigate the mediating effect of OCB on the relationships between information security countermeasures and compliance intention. Questionary was designed based on prior information security research, and survey was conducted among companies' employees across the industry. Results showed that information security policy and information security education/training were found to be key predictors of compliance intention. In addition, OCB was proven to mediate the relationships between information security countermeasures and compliance intention.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the social behavior, especially, the evacuation-related social behavior, of the transients in the radiological emergency planning zone(EPZ) of nuclear power plants. So, the meaning and kinds of the evacuation and the significance of the trip generation time(TGT) have been reviewed. The characteristics of the social behavior of the transient around Ulchin, Wolsong and Kori sites was analyzed through field surveys by using the questionnaire. The major findings of this research implications are as follows. First, for securing the safe evacuation, the alternatives to effectively provide the information on the evacuation warning may be prepared. Second, it is necessary to establish the education and training of transient's evacuation. Third, it is needed that the cause and background of the evacuation refusal are identified and the new response plan to secure transient's safety is prepared.

The Effects of Social Capital on Organizational Citizenship Behavior of Social Welfare Workers and the Mediating Effect of Job Satisfaction (사회복지종사자의 사회자본이 조직시민행동에 미치는 영향과 직무만족의 매개효과)

  • The purposes of this study was to examine the relationship between social capital of social welfare workers and organizational citizenship behavior, and investigate mediated effects of job satisfaction. For the research, social capital was consisted of trust, norms and networks. Survey were collected for 278 social workers in social welfare organization located in Kangwon-do. Regression analysis were conducted with SPSS program. Sobel Test was added in 3-stage multiple regression analysis of Baron and Kenny. Social capital made a positive effect on organizational citizenship behavior. In factors of social capital, trust and network made a significant effect on organizational citizenship behavior, but norms didn't show a significant effect on organizational citizenship behavior. As the results of verifying mediator effects of job satisfaction in the relationship between social capital and organizational citizenship behavior, social capital made a direct effect on organizational citizenship behavior of workers and indirect effect on it through the job satisfaction.
