Automatic Generation of Voice Web Pages Based on SALT (SALT 기반 음성 웹 페이지의 자동 생성)

  • As a voice browser is introduced, voice dialog application becomes available on the Web environment. The voice dialog application consists of voice Web pages that need to translate the dialog scripts into SALT(Speech Application Language Tags). The current Web pages have been designed for visual. They, however, are potentially capable of using voice dialog. This paper, therefore, proposes an automated voice Web generation method that finds the elements for voice dialog from Web pages based HTML and converts them into SALT. The automatic generation system of a voice Web page consists of a lexical analyzer and a syntactic analyzer that converts a Web page which is described in HTML to voice Web page which is described in HTML+SALT. The converted voice Web page is designed to be able to handle not only the current mouse and keyboard input but also voice dialog.

Design of an Automatic Generation System of Device Drivers Using Templates (템플릿을 이용한 디바이스 드라이버 자동생성 시스템 설계)

  • Applications running under embedded systems require various device drivers designed for different types and versions of the OS to manage resources effectively. In this paper, an automated device driver generator system which can generate the device drivers to be used in newer versions the target OS is proposed. In the proposed system, the structures of device drivers of specific OS are designed in the templates and stored in a library, and the target device drivers are generated by adding codes to the stored templates. Once device drivers are generated, they are registered into the kernel. The experimental results show that data transfer time has been slightly increased when compared against manually created drivers for TFT-LCD driver, USB interface keyboard/mouse driver, and AC'97 controller drivers. The code size for the generated drivers after compilation has also been increased slightly when compared with manually designed device drivers.

  • 10년 후면 영어와 한국어가 실시간으로 자동 통역되는 통역기가등장하며, 컴퓨터의 키보드 나 마우스 등은 음성으로 대체되며, 인간과대화를 나누는 로봇이 등장하여 대부분의 인간 허드렛일을 대행 할 것으로 예상된다. 이러한 인공 지능형기기를 구현하기 위해서는 현재보다 1천배 이상의 성능을 보이는 즉, 테라급의 CPU와 메모리가 필요하다. 현재 반도체소자의 주류를 이루고 있는실리콘 트랜지스터는 무어 법칙에 따라 매18개월마다 2 배씩트랜지스터 집적도가 증가되어 왔으며 현재 32nm가 시장 출시를 앞두고 있으나 2016년 이후 22nm 이하는 특성 불균일/열 발생 과 같은 기술적 한계와 천문학적으로 늘어나는 칩 제조비용 때문에 제품 출시가 매우 어려울 것으로 여겨진다. 교육과학기술부는 이러한 한계 극복을 위해 21세기 Frontier 프로그램으로 테라급나노소자개발사업단을 2000년 7월 발족 하였으며 본 사업단은 테라급의 성능과 메모리 집적도를 갖는 나노소자개발을 최종목표로 출범 하였다. 프론티어사업은 10년 이상의 장기적인 개발기간이 필요한 'High Risk, High Return'의 특성을 갖고 있다. 본사업단은 이러한 프론티어사업의 취지에 따라 철저한 사전기획과 기술 환경변화에 따른 신속한 대응력, 철저한현장 중심적 사업관리를 해왔다. 본 재료학회 추계학술대회에서는 본 사업단이 이룩한 성과와 미래의 나노소자들을 소개할 예정이다.

A Development of the Next-generation Interface System Based on the Finger Gesture Recognizing in Use of Image Process Techniques (영상처리를 이용한 지화인식 기반의 차세대 인터페이스 시스템 개발)

  • This study aims to design and implement the finger gesture recognizing system that automatically recognizes finger gestures input through a camera and controls the computer. Common CCD cameras were redesigned as infrared light cameras to acquire the images. The recorded images go through the pre-process to find the hand features, the finger gestures are read accordingly, and an event takes place for the follow-up mouse controlling and presentation, and finally the way to control computers is suggested. The finger gesture recognizing system presented in this study has been verified as the next-generation interface to replace the mouse and keyboard for the future information-based units.

  • 최근 대형 디스플레이 및 웨어러블 컴퓨터의 등장과 함께 키보드와 마우스를 사용하는 일반 데스크탑 환경에서 벗어난 컴퓨터와의 자연스러운 상호 작용 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 스크린 정면에 놓인 프로젝터가 스크린과 그 위에 놓인 사용자의 손 위에 화면을 투영할 때 PC 카메라로 입력된 프레임 속에서 손의 영역을 인식하여 컴퓨터와 상호작용하게 하고자 한다. 이 경우에 투영된 빛이 사용자의 손 위에도 합쳐짐으로 인하여 피부의 고유색이 사라진다. 또한, 투영되는 화면이 사용자와 컴퓨터의 상호 작용에 따라 추정할 수 없이 변함에 따른 적응적 인식 방법이 필요하다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 손을 인식하기에 앞서 스크린에 투영될 원본 이미지에 대해 칼라 보정을 수행하여 추정되는 카메라 입력 프레임을 생성한다. 이를 위해 우선 백색 영상을 투영하여 프레임 내의 자기 오차 맵을 생성한 후 R,G,B 채널 별로 원본 값에 대한 카메라 반응 값들을 룩업 테이블에 저장한다. 이를 통해 원본 이미지에 대해 칼라보정을 수행하고, 생성된 카메라 추정 프레임과 실제 카메라로 입력된 프레임 간 자기 성분을 비교하여 손 영역을 검출한다. 실험 결과, 주변의 조명 상태나 프로젝터 및 카메라의 위치에 관계없이 안정적인 인식 결과를 보였다.

Web Accessibility of Healthcare Websites of Korean Government and Public Agencies: Automated and Expert Evaluations (정부 및 공공기관의 보건 관련 웹 사이트의 웹 접근성 - 자동 및 전문가 평가 -)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify Web accessibility issues of healthcare websites of the Korean government and public agencies by evaluating these websites' accessibility in accordance with the Korean Web Contents Accessibility Guideline. This study conducted both automated and expert testing to assess the accessibility of a total of 27 health-related websites. The results of the assessment which was conducted in two stages indicated that institutions such as the National Hospital and National Rehabilitation Center demonstrated almost no Web accessibility error. In addition, the Korea Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service, the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the Health Services Agency, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, and the Korea Medical Dispute Mediation and Arbitration Agency attained very high web accessibility. However, the results of an expert evaluation highlighted that there were considerable errors in providing appropriate alternative text, which was not found in the automated test, and the color contrast of the text content did not comply with Web accessibility standard. Therefore, these websites did not support web accessibility for the sight-impaired. Furthermore, the present study found that it was difficult to deliver accurate information to users due to errors in the default language display and markup, and also, issues of skipping repeated content, content linearization, and compliance with keyboard use were considered as challenges that might arise for people with sight, cognitive and mobility impairments with respect to Web accessibility. It is the first study that evaluated accessibility of healthcare websites of the Korean government and public agencies based on the Korean Web Contents Accessibility Guideline. The present study made a contribution to research on Web accessibility by conducting expert testing, which provided a more complete assessment that identified the degree and specific issues of accessibility errors when compared to automated testing.

  • The purpose of this study is to present the functional and technical solutions for text learning of web-based textbook in which each letter has its own focal point. The solutions help learners not to lose the main focus when eye moves to the next letter or line. The text screen of the electronic textbook automatically scrolls the text to up and down or left and right directions which are preassigned by learner. It doesn't need the operation of mouse or keyboard. And learner can change scroll speed and types anytime during scrolling. Automatic text scroll function is a solution for controlling data and screen to reflect the personal favor and ability. It contains the content structure of the text(characteristics, categorizations etc.), the appearance of the text(density, size, font etc.), scroll options(scroll, speed etc.), program control type(ram resident program etc.), and the application of the screen design principles(legibility etc.). To resolve these functional problems, technical 8 phases are provided, which are environment setting, scroll option setting, copy, data analysis, scroll coding, centered focus coding, left and right focus coding, implementation. The learner can focus on text without dispersion because the text focal points stay in the fixed area of screen. 1bey read the text following their preferences for fonts, sizes, line spacing and so on.

  • Recently, it becomes usual that several sensor accessories are attached to the USB port of smart phones. In this paper, we propose a sensor accessory plug@play platform for easing the attachment of it to the usb port in a smart phone. Sensor developers make sensor modules which obey the standard of sensor interface and write the device driver of it using the standard APIs. The sensor application for the smart phone is made using the web app style. The device drivers and sensor web applications are stored in the sensor web server. When a user plugs the sensor module into the usb port, the device driver and sensor web are retrieved automatically from the server and it is played. We believe that our platform activates the development of sensor accessories for smart phones.

  • In this paper, we implement a crossword game, which operate by speech. The CAA (Cross Array Algorithm) produces the crossword array randomly and automatically using an domain-dictionary. For producing the crossword array, we construct seven domain-dictionaries. The crossword game is operated by a mouse and a keyboard and is also operated by speech. For the user interface by speech, we use a speech recognizer and a speech synthesizer and this provide more comfortable interface to the user. The efficiency evaluation of CAA is performed by estimating the processing times of producing the crossword array and the generation ratio of the crossword array. As the results of the CAA's efficiency evaluation, the processing times is about 10ms and the generation ratio of the crossword array is about 50%. Also, the recognition rates were 95.5%, 97.6% and 96.2% for the window sizes of "$7{\times}7$", "$9{\times}9$," and "$11{\times}11$" respectively.}11$" respectively.vely.
