A Study on the Service Method of Modern Literature Based on Linked Data (링크드 데이터 기반 근대문학자료의 서비스 방안 연구)

  • This study suggested a plan to convert the modern literary data service of the National Library of Korea into linked data-based services. This is not to simply convert the modern literary data service into linked data, which is the current technological trend. This is to create high-quality source data capable of automated machine processing with continuous connection with various external data and information sources in the long term. To this end, in order to revitalize the service of modern literature and to solve the efficient data linkage with related institutions, various overseas library and bibliographic service cases that adopted linked data were first reviewed to draw implications. In addition, based on the reviewed implications, the plan to reorganize the modern literary service in terms of data management, system management, and user service was described in detail.

  • Recently, unmanned facilities have been introduced and operated in a way that reduces the cost and development of IT technology. Although unmanned facilities have advantages in terms of efficiency and economy, they have disadvantages such as failure of unmanned facilities and malfunctions, causing damage to facilities caused by intruders, and information leakage. In addition, it is necessary to visit the person in charge at all times to inspect the unmanned facilities, resulting in management costs. In this paper, we designed a system that checks the status of unmanned surveillance facilities in real time to check and automatically recover problems such as malfunctions, and to notify managers of situations by text messages in real time. The system to be designed consists of an integrated network video server (NVR) that receives and determines information on the operation status of the main equipment such as video, sound, and lighting, and a real-time text message using an SMS server.

  • This paper proposes a technological solution for improving the recognition direction of target objects for automatic vision inspection by machine vision. This paper proposes a technological solution for improving the recognition direction of target objects for automatic vision inspection by machine vision. This enables the automatic machine vision inspection to detect the image of the inspection object regardless of the position and orientation of the object, eliminating the need for a separate inspection jig and improving the automation level of the inspection process. This study develops the technology and method that can be applied to the wire harness manufacturing process as the inspection object and present the result of real system. The results of the system implementation was evaluated by the accredited institution. This includes successful measurement in the accuracy, detection recognition, reproducibility and positioning success rate, and achievement the goal in ten kinds of color discrimination ability, inspection time within one second and four automatic mode setting, etc.

  • With the development of IoT technology, image processing is being utilized in various fields such as image analysis, image recognition, medical industry, and factory automation. Noise is generated in image data from causes such as defect in transmission line. Image noise must be removed because it damages the performance of the image processing application program. Salt and Pepper noise is a representative type of image noise, and various studies have been conducted to remove Salt and Pepper noise. Widely known methods include A-TMF, AFMF, and SDWF. However, as the noise density increases, the performance deteriorates. Thus, this paper proposes an algorithm that performs filtering using a fuzzy logic weight mask only in case of noise after noise determination. In order to prove the noise removal performance of the proposed algorithm, an experiment was performed on images with 10% to 90% noise added and the PSNR was compared.

A technique for predicting the cutting points of fish for the target weight using AI machine vision

  • In this paper, to improve the conditions of the fish processing site, we propose a method to predict the cutting point of fish according to the target weight using AI machine vision. The proposed method performs image-based preprocessing by first photographing the top and front views of the input fish. Then, RANSAC(RANdom SAmple Consensus) is used to extract the fish contour line, and then 3D external information of the fish is obtained using 3D modeling. Next, machine learning is performed on the extracted three-dimensional feature information and measured weight information to generate a neural network model. Subsequently, the fish is cut at the cutting point predicted by the proposed technique, and then the weight of the cut piece is measured. We compared the measured weight with the target weight and evaluated the performance using evaluation methods such as MAE(Mean Absolute Error) and MRE(Mean Relative Error). The obtained results indicate that an average error rate of less than 3% was achieved in comparison to the target weight. The proposed technique is expected to contribute greatly to the development of the fishery industry in the future by being linked to the automation system.

  • With the development of big data-related technologies, it has become possible to process vast amounts of data that could not be processed before. Accordingly, the establishment of an automated data selection and fusion process for the realization of big data-based services has become a necessity, not an option. In this paper, we propose an automation technique to create meaningful new information by fusing datasets containing spatial information. Firstly, the given datasets are embedded by using the Node2Vec model and the keywords of each dataset. Then, the semantic similarities among all of datasets are obtained by calculating the cosine similarity for the embedding vector of each pair of datasets. In addition, a person intervenes to select some candidate datasets with one or more spatial identifiers from among dataset pairs with a relatively higher similarity, and fuses the dataset pairs to visualize them. Through such semi-automatic data fusion processes, we show that significant fused information that cannot be obtained with a single dataset can be generated.

  • Recently, image processing technology for autonomous driving by recognizing objects and lanes through camera images to realize autonomous vehicles is being studied. Haze reduces the visibility of images captured by the camera and causes malfunctions of autonomous vehicles. To solve this, it is necessary to apply the haze removal function that can be processed in real time to the camera. Therefore, in this paper, the fog removal method of Sim with excellent performance is implemented with hardware capable of real-time processing. The proposed hardware was designed using Verilog HDL, and FPGA was implemented by setting Xilinx's xc7z045-2ffg900 as the target device. As a result of logic synthesis using Xilinx Vivado program, it has a maximum operating frequency of 276.932MHz and a maximum processing speed of 31.279fps in a 4K (4096×2160) high-resolution environment, thus satisfying the real-time processing standard.

  • In the era of the 4th industrial revolution, where automation and connectivity are maximized with artificial intelligence, the importance of data collection and utilization for model update is increasing. In order to create a model using artificial intelligence technology, it is usually necessary to gather data in one place so that it can be updated, but this can infringe users' privacy. In this paper, we introduce federated learning, a distributed machine learning method that can update models in cooperation without directly sharing distributed stored data, and introduce a study to optimize distributed consensus among participants without an existing server. In addition, we propose a pattern and group-based distributed consensus optimization algorithm that uses an algorithm for generating patterns and groups based on the Kirkman Triple System, and performs parallel updates and communication. This algorithm guarantees more privacy than the existing distributed consensus optimization algorithm and reduces the communication time until the model converges.

  • Access re-review is a valuable and important task, but it is burdensome for archivists. Thus, an access re-review automation was proposed to address this. In this situation, the National Archives of Korea actually utilized the access re-review solution in the performance of the "2020 Access Re-Review Project" and compared and analyzed it with human work. The project was, however, not a research project centered on analysis on access re-review solutions, and it has a limited result in terms of experimental use of commercial programs. Nevertheless, in the current situation where there are only macro and superficial discussions on access re-review of intelligent archives, it would be meaningful to apply the access re-review solution to archivists in real businesses and examine the results. This paper seeks to discuss the practicality that can mitigate the task of access re-review through an analysis of use cases of access re-review solutions.

Micropattern Arrays of Polymers/Quantum Dots Formed by Electrohydrodynamic Jet (e-jet) Printing (이젯 프린터를 사용한 고분자/퀀텀닷 마이크로 패터닝 공정)

  • Electrohydrodynamic jet (e-jet) printing, a type of direct contactless microfabrication technology, is a versatile fabrication process that enables a wide range of micro/nanopattern arrays by applying a strong electric field between the nozzle and the substrate. In general, the morphology and the thickness of polymers/quantum dot micropatterns show a systematic dependence on the diameter of the nozzle and the ink composition with a fully automated printing machine. The purpose of this report is to provide typical examples of e-jet printed micropatterns of polymers/quantum dots to explain the effect of each process variable on the result of experiments. Here, we demonstrate several operating conditions that allow high-resolution printing of layers of polymers/quantum dots with a precise control over thickness and submicron lateral resolution.
