  • Purpose : In this study, we tried to know that how the occupational therapists applied the core principles of Ayres's sensory integration(ASI) intervention for clients by using the method of self-assessment. Methods : The study period was from May 2010 to June 2010. The subjects were therapists who use a sensory integration intervention. We letted them to do self-assessment about degree of performing the treatment according to the core principles of ASI by using a questionnaire. Total 66 questionnaires were collected. SPSS for Windows version 15.0 was statistically analyzed. Results : There wasn't anybody without considering the 10 core principles of ASI interventions for children. Therapist's answer(more than 90%) was sometimes, often, always except for the guide self-organization in the 10 core principles of ASI intervention. On the basis of total average score of raw score of 10 core principles of ASI intervention, provide sensory opportunities, provide just-right challenges, collaborate on activity choice, maximize child's success, ensure physical safety, and foster therapeutic alliance showed more than 50 points(T value). The guide self-organization, support optimal arousal, create play context, and arrange room to engage child showed less than 50 points T value. Conclusion : The most effective interventions for sensory integration is the treatment based on the core principles of ASI intervention. According to core principle of ASI intervention, checking the quality of care and increasing the quality of care is needed through performing self-assessment.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide strategic implications so that non-cognitive abilities such as personal and job characteristics can be used for human resource development of financial companies by identifying the effects of personal and job characteristics on self-development intentions. The results of this study are as follows. First, Intimacy was analyzed to have a positive (+) effect on self-development intention. Second, Job importance was found to have a positive (+) effect on self-development intention. Third, job stress, a moderating variable, had a significant negative (-) moderating effect on intimacy and self-development intention.

  • This study targeted college students to determine the moderating effect of immersion in the relationship among stress, satisfaction with life, and satisfaction with college life. To this end, the level of stress, satisfaction with life, satisfaction with college life, and immersion were measured in353 students attending S University. First of all, correlation analysis showed that stress had a negative correlation with immersion, satisfaction with life, and satisfaction with college life and immersion had a positive correlation with satisfaction with life and satisfaction with college life. Hierarchical regression analysis was conducted to determine the moderating effects of immersion in the relationship among stress, satisfaction with life, and satisfaction with college life. The results showed that immersion had a moderating effect on the relationship between stress and satisfaction with life, while immersion did not have a mitigating effect on the relationship between stress and satisfaction with college life. Based on these findings, this paper suggests raising the ability of immersion as a measure of intervention in handling the stress of college students and discusses the significance and limitations of this study.

  • This study examined whether aggression mediates the effects of seven sub-types of narcissistic personality on psychopathy. It hypothesized that some of narcissistic personality could affect aggression that, in turn, contributes to psychopathy. The sample of this study consisted of 864 college students (451 males and 413 females). The participants completed an assessment battery consisting of Narcissistic Personality Inventory(NPI), Aggression Questionnaire(AQ), and Self-Reported Psychopathy Scale(SRPS). According to the results, narcissistic personality and aggression variables affected psychopathy, and aggression predicted students' psychopathy. The effects of students' narcissistic personality on psychopathy were partly mediated by aggression. The research findings partly supported the hypothesis, and were discussed on gender differences in relation among sub-types of narcissistic personality, aggression, and psychopathy. The implications and limitations of this study were suggested.

  • This study was conducted to compare the evaluation scores among different evaluation agents-tutor, peer and self evaluation. It also aimed to identify the correlations among the evaluation agents and each agent's influencing factors that can have impact on PBL evaluation. 105 nursing students who had PBL methods in their learning had 3 different tutor, peer and self evaluation consecutively with the PBL Effectiveness Evaluation Tool. Self evaluation score was higher than both tutor and peer evaluation for 3 different evaluation. There was a significant correlation between tutor evaluation and peer evaluation. 'Problem solving ability' for tutor evaluation and 'Cooperative learning ability' for peer evaluation and self evaluation were the influencing factors.

  • This study explores the patterns of the self-expression in terms of sharing the diverse pictures according to SNS use focused on the social relationships, and the effects of the diverse online activities on the off-line activity. The study results show that the more SNS use focused on the social relationships, the more sharing the diverse pictures in SNS as a tool of the self-expression. It also shows that the more SNS use focused on the social relationships and the more sharing the pictures with friends, the more active in off-line activity. Both of online and off-line network activities have the statistically significant positive effects on the life satisfaction, which implies that the more active in online and off-line network activities, the higher the life satisfaction.
