  • 이전에 개발된 Magnetic Fluid Linear Pump는 자기 회로가 솔레노이드 형식으로 자기회로의 대부분이 공극이기 때문에 자기저항이 크다. 이런 문제로 인해서 Linear Pump의 자성유체에 영향을 주는 자기장이 크지 않고 펌핑 압력은 높지 않다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 Permalloy Yoke를 이용하여 Linear Pump를 소형화하고 자기 저항을 최소화함으로써 펌핑 압력을 향상시켰다. 또한 Linear Pump의 3D해석을 통하여 Yoke의 폭, 두께, 간격에 대한 최적 크기를 계산하였다.

Design Methodology of the CMOS Current Reference for a High-Speed DRAM Clocking Circuit (초고속 DRAM의 클록발생 회로를 위한 CMOS 전류원의 설계기법)

  • This paper describes a design methodology for the CMOS current source which can be implemented in standard memory process. The proposed techniques provide a good characteristic against the power-supply variation by utilizing a self-bias circuit and the reduction of the first-order component of the temperature variation through the new temperature compensation technique and include a new current-sensing start-up circuit enabling a robust operation against the voltage noise generated during the operation of the chip. In addition to the circuit-design technology, techniques where the proposed CMOS current-reference circuit can be applied to the clocking circuits of a very high-speed DRAM are presented. The feasibility of the suggested design methodology for the CMOS current reference is demonstrated by both the analytical method and the circuit simulation.

  • We have constructed the magneto-operational amplifier(MOP) using the advantages of Hall device and an operational amplifier. The MOP necessarily requires a high impedance circuit, a differential-to-single-ended convert-sion circuit and feedback-input-element for operational amplifier characteristics. We have presented a new differential-to-single-ended conversion operational amplifier(DSCOP) having such characteristics. We have designed the MOP using the DSCOP and Hall device and simulated its characteristics, and finally we have constructed the system with discrete elements, and measured its magnetic characteristics.

  • An MTJ element not only computes Boolean function but also stores the output result in itself. We can make the most use of magneto-logic's merits by employing the magneto-logic in substitution for the sequential logic as well as the combinational logic. This unique feature opens a new horizon for potential application of MTJ as a universal logic element. Magneto-logic circuits using MTJ elements are more integrative and non-volatile. This paper presents novel 3-bit magneto-logic up/down counters and presents simulation results based on the HSPICE macro-model of MTJ that we have developed.

  • Inductive Power Transfer (IPT) systems have successfully been developed and used to replace traditional conductive power transfer systems where physical connection is either inconvenient or impossible, such as biomedical implants, undersea vehicles, and contactless battery chargers of robots, for providing power to movable or detachable loads. Inductive Coupling uses magnetic fields to transfer power. There is a primary coil, which generates a magnetic field. Then there is another secondary coil which is composed of a capacitor and a coil, the capacitor creates a circuit with the primary and secondary coils. This paper discusses design method and several implementation alternatives for wireless energy transmission systems. It presents realization examples for these alternatives. Wireless energy transmission is investigated in numerous convergence applications due to its simplicity and advantages.

  • In general, a design method based on the equivalent magnetic circuit has been used for basic design of Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(IPMSM). However, the equivalent magnetic circuit method has difficulty in considering the arrangement of PM. IPMSM has high degree of freedom for PM rotor design. In this paper, we proposed the multiobjective optimal design method considering the arrangement of PM for the double-layer PM rotor structure that minimizes the torque ripple as well as maximizes the torque of IPMSM. The design variables of double-layer PM rotor structure are obtained from the Response Surface Method. Torque and torque ripple were calculated by Finite Element Method.

  • It opens a new horizon on spintronics for the potential application of MTJ as a universal logic element, to employ the magneto-logic in substitution for the transistor-based logic device. The magneto-logic based on the MTJ element shows many potential advantages, such as high density, and nonvolatility. Moreover, the MTJ element has programmability and can therefore realize the full logic functions just by changing the input signals. This magneto-logic using MTJ elements can embody the reconfigurable circuit to overcome the rigid architecture. The established magneto-logic element has been designed and fabricated on a triple-layer MTJ. We present a novel magneto-logic structure that consists of a single layer MTJ and a current driver, which requires less processing steps with enhanced functional flexibility and uniformity. A 4-bit gray counter is designed to verify the magneto-logic functionality of the proposed single-layer MTJ and the simulation results are presented with the HSPICE macro-model of MTJ that we have developed.

DEVELOPMENT OF MAGNETOMETER DIGITAL CIRCUIT FOR KSR-3 ROCKET AND ANALYTICAL STUDY ON CALIBRATION RESULT (KSR-3 과학 로켓용 자력계 디지털 회로 개발 및 검교정시험 결과 분석 연구)

  • This paper describes the re-design and the calibration results of the MAG digital circuit onboard the KSR-3. We enhanced the sampling rate of magnetometer data. Also, we reduced noise and increased authoritativeness of data. We could confirm that AIM resolution was decreased less than InT of analog calibration by a digital calibration of magnetometer. Therefore, we used numerical-program to correct this problem. As a result, we could calculate correction and error of data. These corrections will be applied to magnetometer data after the launch of KSR-3.

  • 커패시터 방전회로의 제작 및 시험을 위해서는 고가의 비용과 위험요소가 내재되어 있으며 특히 고전력 응용을 위해서는 이러한 요소는 더욱 커지게 된다. 그 대체방법으로는 컴퓨터를 이용하여 이 회로의 동작을 모델링하고 시뮬레이션하는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 커패시터 방전 임펄스 착자가 착아 요크 시스템을 위한 SPICE 모델을 개발하고 시뮬레이션 결과를 실제 시스템의 측정치와 비교하였다. 또한 착자기 시스템의 방전회로를 위한 온도산정방법을 제안하였다. 특히 임펄스 착자기의 방전회로의 온도산정은 착자회로 설계의 중요한 지침이 되므로 극히 중요하다. 본 연구에 이용된 착자기는 저손실 유입 커패시터이며, 최대 1200[V]의 충전이 가능하다. 이러한 착자 모델의 개발을 통하여 고임펄스 방전 회로의 설계 및 개발에 소요되는 시간 및 비용을 절약하는데 크게 기여할 것이다.

  • The design and development if Resonant-type Magnetometer(RM) using isotropic magnetic with high permeability is described in this paper. At first, the relationship between the inductance L if the coil winding on a magnetic material and the permeability u(H) appearing in the magnetic material with isotropic and high permeability is defined as a background theory. Then the circuit if RM, which is to obtain the values if L as the change qf frequency is implemented using simple Schmitt Trigger Circuit Through the swinging tests, which is to evaluate the measurement ability if RM, the measurement possibility for the component of earth field was confined.
