  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of office workers' covert narcissism on organizational silence and identify the (Duel)mediation effects on fear of negative evaluation and the avoidance motivation. This study used a survey of 393 office workers to measure the covert narcissism, the organizational silence, the fear of negative evaluation and the avoidance motivation. The collected data were analyzed by IBM SPSS 23 and SPSS PROCESS macro in a Bootstrapping method. The result shows that the covert narcissism, the organizational silence, the fear of negative evaluation and the avoidance motivation have positive correlations. In addition, a simple regression analysis was used according to the research model and all of them showed adequate coefficient of determination between each variables. Next, the mediating model was verified by mediation of the fear of negative evaluation and the avoidance motivation. In the relationship between the covert narcissism and the organizational silence, the mediating effect of the fear of negative evaluation was not verified and the avoidance motive showed a partial mediating effect. Finally, in the relationship between the covert narcissism and the organizational silence, the fear of negative evaluation and the avoidance motivation were gradually mediated through the (Duel)mediation effects model, and the model was statistically significant. Through this study, The implications of this study were discussed, not only the limitations of the study but also the necessity of further research were discussed.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the effects of perceptions of organizational politics(i.e., POPs) and leader-member exchange(i.e., LMX) on the perceived work performance. Also, this paper investigates the moderating effect of LMX on the relationship between POPs and work performance. Particularly, this study is to expand on prior research by investigating the three-way interaction effect of LMX and self-efficacy. The summary of results based on a sample of 280 employees who were working in various organizations in KOREA is following. First, POPs were not significantly related to perceived work performance. Second, LMX was positively and significantly related to perceived work performance. Third, LMX did not moderate the negative relationship between POPs and perceived work performance. Finally, our results showed that for individuals with a high level of self-efficacy, LMX moderates the negative relationship between POPs and perceived work performance. That is, for individuals with a high level of self-efficacy, POPs were positively related to work performance under high LMX(in-group), but were negatively related to work performance under low LMX(out-group). Theoretical and practical implications of our findings as well as directions for future research are provided.

We developed our teaching-learning materials of programming for this purpose, Further, they are applied to the elementary school, and their effects are analyzed. Fourth grade students in elementary school were selected for the experiments of this study, For comparison, they were divided into a control group who taught by a traditional programming teaching method and an experimental group who taught by our advance organizer programming class. As a result, through before-and-after t-verifications performed on the experimental group and the control group respectively, we found statically significant differences between the two groups, and the effectiveness of our new programming teaching method was proved in both learner's self-efficacy and logical thinking ability.
