An Effect of Work-Family Conflict on Turnover Intention and Organizational Commitment (직장-가정 갈등이 이직의도와 조직몰입에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • The primary objective of this study is to investigate the factors that influence work-family conflict and to identify the relationships between the factors and organizational commitment and turnover intention. In addition, we investigate the moderating effect of need for achievement, need for power, and perceived organizational support on the relationships. The research results show that work-family conflict has significant and negative effect on organizational commitment. On the other hand, work-family conflict has significant and positive effect on turnover intention. Need for achievement and need for power play a moderating role between work-family conflict and organizational commitment and work-family conflict and turnover intention. The conclusions and implications are discussed.

Mediating effect of burnout between work-family conflict and organizational citizenship behavior and the moderating effect of Proactive Personality (일-가정 갈등과 조직시민행동간 직무소진의 매개효과와 주도적 성격의 조절효과)

  • The aim of this study is to examine the effect of the work-family conflict on the organizational citizenship behavior, to examine the mediating effect of burnout in that relation and to verify the moderating effect of proactive personality between burnout by work-family conflict and organizational citizenship behavior. For study samples, total 331 copies were collected from the members of hospitals and call centers in Daejeon, Sejong and Chungcheongnam-do and Chungcheongbuk-do. The results are as follows: firstly, it was found that, Work Interference with Family(WIF) had negative (-) effect on the organizational citizenship behavior. And, Family Interference with Work(FIW) had negative (-) effect on the organizational citizenship behavior. Secondly, there was a mediating effect of burnout between Work Interference with Family(WIF) and organizational citizenship behavior. And, there was no mediating effect of burnout between Family Interference with Work(FIW) and organizational citizenship behavior. Thirdly, proactive personality had a moderating effect between burnout due to work-family conflict and the organizational citizenship behavior. It proved that the relation between burnout due to work-family conflict and the organizational citizenship behavior through proactive personality of members concerning the negative effect of burnout caused by the work-family conflict at the workplace can be reduced by the proactive personality. It is significant in that this study proved the necessity of proactive personality of members in the work-family conflict. Therefore, more diverse personal characteristics should be considered as control variables in the future.

Moderating Effect of Self-efficacy between Work-Family Conflict and Job Burnout (직장-가정 갈등과 직무소진간 자기효능감의 조절효과)

  • Currently, enterprises are in a rapid flow of comvergence of industries in the ear of the 4th Industrial Revolution. Under this circumstances, change of economic condition, change of industrial structure, increase of women's advance into society. Based on such background of the times, the aim of this study is to examine the effect of work-home conflict on burnout and the moderating effect of self-efficacy in that relation. The research samples were obtained from nurses at hospitals in Daejeon-si, Sejong-si, Chungcheongnam-do and Chungcheongbuk-do. Total 360 copies of valid questionnaire was used for analysis. Specific analysis results from the research are as follows. Firstly, it was found that Work Interference with Family(WIF) had positive (+) impact on physical burnout. Family Interference with Work (FIW) had no impact on physical burnout. Secondly, it was found that Work Interference with Family(WIF) had positive (+) impact on emotional burnout and Family Interference with Work (FIW) had negative (-) impact on emotional burnout. Thirdly, self-efficacy had a buffer effect on the negative impact of Work Interference with Family upon emotional burnout. However, there was no moderating effect of self-efficacy in the relationship between Family Interference with Work (FIW) and emotional burnout. Therefore, it needs to consider a plan to reduce conflicts between work and family according to the causes of conflicts and it also needs to consider relevant results.

The Effect of Work- Life Balance on Innovative Behavior : Mediating effect of Hedonic Well-being and Eudaimonic Well-Being (일과 삶의 균형이 혁신행동에 미치는 영향: 정서적 웰빙과 자아실현적 웰빙의 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • Over recent years, there have been more comprehensive studies conducted word-widely on the WLB covering not only the conflicting relationships between work and life but also facilitating relationships between work and life, in a method of classifying whether a conflict or a facilitation was derived from the work or from the life. However, such studies are hardly identified in Korea. The objective of this study is, therefore, to examine the effect of the WLB on innovative behavior in Korean society, when the WLB are subdivided into three sub-variables defined as work-life conflict, life -work conflict, and work-life facilitation, and to determine the mediated effect of psychological well-being(hedonic well-being and eudaimonic well-being). The hypothesis was verified using factor analysis, descriptive statistics, and regression analysis in questionnaires collected from 299 office workers. As a result, the study found that work-life conflict and work-life facilitation significantly effected psychological well-being and innovative behavior. However, life-work conflict was not a significant factor on hedonic well-being and innovative behavior. In addition, eudaimonic well-being showed mediating effect to the relationship between WLB and innovative behavior, while hedonic well-being did not effectively mediate them.

초기재혼부부의 결혼생활유지에 자기분화, 부부갈등대처방식에 미치는 영향

  • 본 연구는 초기재혼부부의 결혼생활유지에 자기분화, 부부갈등대처방식에 미치는 효과의 프로그램을 개발하기 위한 사전 연구로서 재혼부부를 대상으로 자기분화, 부부갈등대처방식이 어떤 영향을 미치는지를 연구하고자 한다. 요구도 조사를 위한 포커스 인터뷰 대상은 서울과 경기도 수도권에 사는 부부이고 나이는 30세 이상에서 62세 미만을 선정하였으며, 재혼생활 기간이 1년 이상 6년 미만의 실질적 경험이 있는 부부를 선정하였으며, 부부 한쪽이라도 배우자가 전혼관계를 통해 자녀가 있는 복합가정을 선정하였다. 본 연구는 재혼부부를 대상으로 2017년 4월 4일부터 5월 25일까지 포커스 인터뷰를 실시하였다. 1회기에 100분씩 총 2회기로 개별적 인터뷰를 실시하였다. 포커스 인터뷰를 실시한 결과, 재혼부부들은 원가족에서 형성된 미분화로 역기능적인 습관들이 삼각관계를 형성하고 불안을 더욱 증폭시켰다. 부부가 문제해결을 하는 상황에서 낮은 자아분화 수준으로 표현하며 갈등을 더욱 고조시켰다. 낮은 자기분화수준은 갈등관계에서 자신을 이성과 감정을 분리하지 못하고 감정적으로 반응하기도 하며, 환경에 흡수되는 부정적 갈등 대처방식에도 영향을 미쳤다. 재혼부부에게 가장 취약한 면이 부부간 친밀감이며 유대관계이다. 전혼에서 상처와 부정적 정서로 인해 부부 신뢰감이 취약하였다. 비교적 짧은 재혼기간의 영향과 여러 갈등 요소 인 경제적 갈등, 계부모-친부모의 갈등, 계부모-계자녀의 갈등, 전 배우자와의 갈등, 부부간 잠재적 갈등 등으로 인해 친근한 부부유대관계를 맺지 못하는 어려움을 호소하기도 하였다. 특히 전혼관계의 배우자에 대한 부정적 경험이 남아 있을 경우 현재 배우자를 신뢰하지 못하는 갈등이 영향을 주고 있었다. 그로 인한 부부갈등의 악순환을 초래하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 재혼부부의 결혼생활유지를 돕는 자기분화, 갈등대처방식에 미치는 통합적 프로그램을 구성하려고 하는 필요성을 시사하는 것이다. 점진적으로 재이혼은 증가하여 부부 및 가족 구성원인 또 다시 부정적 영향을 미치고, 사회문제로 확산될 수 있음을 시사한다. 예방적 차원에서 재혼부부의 결혼생활유지 프로그램에 대한 필요성을 시사한다.

Effects of Self-differentiation of Remarried Couples, Marital Intimacy, Marital Conflict Coping Style on Marital Satisfaction (재혼부부의 자기분화, 부부친밀감, 부부갈등대처방식이 결혼만족도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study is to investigate the effects of self-differentiation, marital intimacy, and marital conflict coping strategies on marital satisfaction for remarried married couples. The survey Was conducted from April 4, 2017 to April 25, 2017 for the subject remarried couples aged more then 30years living in Sooul, Gyeonggi province, chungchong province, Jeolla province and Kyeongsang province. 48 questionnaires are distributed and analyzed with SPSS WIN 21. Results of the analysis showed that the higher the level of self-differentiation of the remarried couple, the more positive influence of marital satisfaction on the emotional intimacy and sexual intimacy as the sub-factors of marital intimacy, (-), respectively. As a result of in-depth interviews, low levels of self-differentiation have negative effects on marital satisfaction and marital intimacy, resulting in a vicious cycle in marital conflict. And these results show the possibility of the unified construction of a marital satisfaction improvement program considering self-differentiation, marital intimacy, and marital conflict coping style.

  • While smart devices can have a positive impact on work efficiency and productivity by reducing time-space constraints and enabling rapid processing of tasks, side effects can arise from the imbalances between work and personal life. In recent years, as smart devices are increasingly used in work environments, it is more necessary than ever to understand the related phenomenon, find the cause of negative effects, and search for appropriate solutions. This study has developed and verified a theoretical model that shows how the technical characteristics known as the utility of smart devices are converted into negative results such as work-life conflict. As a result of analyzing the collected data from the employees, our study provides significant implications for the researchers, as well as the practitioners and policy makers, regarding various relationships among IT-enabled work flexibility, after-hours work connectivity and work-life conflict, and the new knowledge about the important role of segmentation supplies from the organization.

  • This study begins with focus on the public opinion and political views on embracing Yemeni refugees in Jeju. The public opinion is demanding amendment or even abolition of the Refugee Act. The argument opposing Yemeni refugees is persuasive enough in terms of public order and safety, cultural conflicts and economic interests, but it is going against the universal and authentic values that must be pursued by a forward-looking society. It is natural that the power exerting political discretion keeps an eye on public opinion. However, no matter how many people express it, unjustified public opinion must not be a foundation for political decision. This study will examine the shadows of public opinion and related concepts for those reasons, and review Augustine's concept of 'love' as a value to refer to in making a communal decision. Conflicts lead to insecurity and rift. Without sensus communis (common sense), the rift will not be healed. This study raises the need to resolve such conflicting state and seeks insight from Augustine.

  • 에너지요금의 인상이 잇따르고 있는 가운데‘이란발 쇼크’로 국제유가가 최근 가파른 상승세다. 하루 석유생산량이 390만 배럴로 석유수출국기구(OPEC) 중 사우디아라비아에 이어 두 번째로 큰 산유국 이란. 이 나라의 핵 개발을 둘러싼 국제적인 갈등이 원유공급 감소로 이어질 것이란 우려 때문이다. 미국을 비롯한 EU, 중국, 러시아가 이란 핵의 안보리 회부에 합의한데 따른 시장급변 상황에서 초래됐다. 여기에다 OPEC 회원국들이 지난달 31일 오스트리아 빈에서 열린 정례회의에서 하루 2800만 배럴인 현행 산유량 수준을 고수하기로 합의한 데 따른 파급도 있다. 중동지역의 지정학적인 위기로 인한 수급불안 우려가 해소되지 않고 있는데다 특히 OPEC의 증산 여력이 소진된 상태라는 관측 때문에 유가불안이 고조되고 있는 것이다. 2월초 현재 3월 인도분 서부 텍사스산 원유인 WTI는 배럴당 70달러에 육박하고 있다. 영국 런던 원유시장의 북해산 브렌트유 역시 덩달아 오름세이다. 우리나라에서 주로 수입하고 있는 중동산 두바이유 역시 마찬가지이다. 브렌트나 두바이유도 배럴당 같은 60달러 선이다. 유가 강세는 지난해 가을 허리케인 카트리나의 미국 남동부 강타로 대다수 석유시설이 파괴돼 수급난이 초래돼 WTI 기준 배럴당 한때 80달러에 육박한 이래 하락세를 보이다 이번에 다시 가파른 오름세로 돌아선 것이다.전문가들은 이 같은 유가의 가파른 돌변상황을 심각하게 받아들이고 있다. 1980년 5월 WTI 기준 최고치인 94달러까지 치솟아 오일쇼크를 유발한 국제유가. 이 즈음을 정점으로 내림세로 돌아서 걸프전90~91)으로 반짝 배럴당 50달러에 머문 적이 있다. 이를 제외하곤 1986년부터 2004년까진 10~30달러 선에서 비교적 안정세를 보이다 이후 미국의 이라크 침공을 기점으로 급상승세를 타고 왔다. 지난해 최고 80달러에까지 육박한 국제유가는 하향안정세에서 배럴당 60달러 선에서 등락을 거듭하고 있다. 이 수준도 턱없이 높은 것이다. 이 같은 고유가의 파고가 최근 들어 더욱 심상치 않다는 게 전문가들의 공통된 시각이다. 이번에‘이란발 오일쇼크’가 급습하는 것이 아닌가 하는 우려감마저 갖고 있다. 세계경제 회복세에 발목을 잡을 수도 있다고 보고 있다.본지는 이 같은 고유가의 파고를 넘는 첩경으로 저소비·고효율 기기를 앞으로는 시리즈로 소개한다.

Comparative Analysis of Protective Security Units of Korea, the U.S., and Japan (한·미·일 국가원수 위기관리제도의 분석을 통한 비교 고찰과 시사점)

  • Today each country in the world goes beyond the narrow concept of national security that was limited to national defense and ideology and are entering multi-dimensional global system mainly based on economic profits. Nevertheless, conflicts between nations due to religious and ideological reasons have brought unprecedentedly intense disputes Security services for head of states have been an important national mission in every era and society. However, they are becoming a main target for assassination and attacks by terrorists. Attacks on the head of state and other VIPs can cause aftermath ranging from war to conflict situation, political crisis, and economic loss. Therefore this study aims to draw insights by comparing protective security units of Korea, the U.S., and Japan which have different legal basis and sociocultural characteristics. Especially in South Korea, which faces difficult diplomatic stance due to the tension with North Korea and relationship with other countries such as the U.S., China, and Russia as well as polarization between classes, generations, regions, and ideologies, cohesion among members of society has weakened and hatred toward the head of state has been brought, which emphasizes the important of national security services. Therefore the study of protective security units and its operation by comparison between neighboring countries will be able to bring insights on the promotion of the security service.
