The Generation of Transaction Monitor Modules from a Transaction-Oriented Interface Protocol Description (트랜잭션 중심의 인터페이스 프로토콜 기술로부터 트랜잭션 모니터 모듈의 생성)

  • The verification portion of SoC design consumes about 70% of total design effort. To reduce the verification effort and time, it is necessary and desirable to raise the level of SoC design verifications level from the signal or cycle level to the transaction. This paper describes a generation method of transaction monitor modules that monitor interface signals, logging the transaction executions, and report transaction errors. The input of the generation method is a transaction-oriented interface protocol description.

  • 전역 클럭을 사용하는 동기 회로 설계 기술은 설계의 단순화 및 자동화가 용이하기 때문에 현재 많이 사용하는 설계 기술이다. 그러나 다양한 기능과 고성능을 필요로 하는 대규모 시스템이나 회로 설계에서는 전역 클럭 사용으로 인한 신호 지연, 전력 소모 등이 문제로 부각되면서 비동기 회로 설계 기술이 각광을 받고 있다. 비동기 회로 설계 기술은 1940년대에 개발된 기술이지만 설계 자체가 어렵고 면적 증가 등의 단점으로 제한된 분야에서 이용되었다. 현재 이러한 단점을 극복하기 위한 연구가 회로 설계, 검증, 동기/비동기 인터페이스, 그리고 저전력 회로 등의 분야에서 많이 진행되고 있다.

PLD Design of LCD Drive Circuit using PC Interface (PC 인터페이스를 이용한 LCD 구동회로의 PLD 설계)

  • This paper presents a PLD design of Gray Mode Graphic STN LCD drive circuit using PC interface. The proposed LCD drive circuit doesn\`t use microprocessor for the convenience of users. Thus, the LCD drive circuit can transfer efficiently image data created under PC to LCD. The LCD drive circuit which is modelled in schematic capture, AHDL and VHDL is simulated in functionally through the use of ALTERA MAX+PLUS II. Also, timing simulation is performed by ALTERA EPM7192SQC160-15 PLD implementation. The PC interface part have been programmed in MS-Visual C++ 6.0. The validity and efficiency of the proposed LCD drive circuit have been verified by test board. After comparing this LCD drive circuit to specify it was verified that the developed LCD drive circuit showed good performances, such as convenience of users, low cost.

  • Interface technologies for a user to control home automation system in wearable computing environment has been studied recently. This paper proposes a new interface method for a disabled person to control home automation system in wearable computing environment by using EOG sensing circuit and marker recognition. In the proposed interface method, the operations of a home network device are represented with human readable markers and displayed around the device. A user wearing a HMD, a video camera, and a computer selects the desired operation by seeing the markers and selecting one of them with eye movement from the HMD display The requested operation is executed by sending the control command for the selected marker to the home network control device. By using the EOG sensing circuit and the marker recognition system a user having problem with moving hands and fit can manipulate a home automation system with only eye movement.

  • In this paper, we propose a new signaling method and circuits for interface between the host and LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) controller in the LCD system. The proposed circuits are allowed to transmit two data signals through modified-LVDS circuits and can reduce the operating frequency to a half. Then, we can solve EMI(Electro Magnetic Interference) problem and the power consumption by using differential signaling method. We have compared and analyzed the proposed method and the conventional methods in the power consumption and data rate. In addition, the proposed methods reduce hardware complexity significantly.

  • 햅틱인터페이스 기술을 이용하면 가상물체의 형태를 만져보고 느껴볼 수 있다. 물체마다 다른 수학적 마찰력 모델을 적용하여 실감있는 마찰력 표현도 가능하다. 그러나 각 물체에 해당하는 마찰력 모델을 선정하는 것과 적절한 마찰계수 등을 반복적 실험을 통하여 알아내는 것은 쉽지 않다. 실제 물체의 마찰력이 알려진 마찰력 모델과 다르다면 수학적 모델로 표현할 수 없는 경우도 있다. 본 논문에서는 신경회로망 학습을 이용하여 마찰력 모델의 선택이나 마찰계수 등을 정하는 과정 없이 실제 물체의 마찰력을 표현하는 방법을 제시하고 있다. 상용 햅틱인터페이스 장치인 PHANToM 2 대를 이용하여 마찰력 획득 시스템을 구성하고 고무판, 종이 등의 물체 표면에서의 속도와 물체에 작용하는 힘을 획득하여 가공한 데이터를 입력 및 출력으로 갖는 신경회로망을 통해 학습시킨 후 OpenGL로 구현한 가상물체에 적용하여 보았다. Force/Torque 센서를 사용하지 못한 일부 문제가 있었으나 예상보다 사실적인 마찰력을 표현할 수 있었다.

  • In order to collect the engine performance data and determine optimum engine conditions, engine performance test based on interface unit were tested This paper was carried out that engine' performance was developed using interface unit between personal computer and diesel engine. The results of the study are summarized as follows: Interface unit was developed. By using PAL, simulation was carried in order to logic's inspection. From this tea NO$_{x}$ were decreased, otherwise PM were increased. By using EGR system PM were increased by twice in the high load ranges, it was not seen to come into effect in the low load ranges. This system was tested D-l3 mode, the results were decreased more than 50% in the NO$_{x}$ emission.

  • Recently, new concept, NP(Network Processor) was emerged into communication systems to cope with the various service requirements from Internet users. NP is an unique promising technique to capable of implementing of the packet processing in wire-speed and providing the flexibility for supporting the newly network services, having satisfied with implementation using hardware and software respectively in past, This paper deals with the implementation techniques and evaluation results of the line card capable to do packet forwarding function with packet processing power of wire-speed and applicable to various physical interfaces. There are several interfaces of POS, Gigabit ethernet and EPON in E-OLT(EPON Optical Line Terminal) system of PATH(Photonic Access To Home) network. Therefore, the E-OLT's packet forwarding engine have to support various subscriber's interface in wire speed. Our system is implemented the subscriber's card in daughter board and the setup procedure is done by system firmware based on the module's identifier acquired from installed physical board.

An MVP-based XML Language for User Interfaces (사용자 인터페이스를 위한 MVP기반의 XML 언어)

  • It is advantageous to use XML in developing user interfaces, since XML is independent from platforms and languages and it is easy to learn and use. The existing XML-based languages do not adopt formal model, and they are developed in ad hoc manner. Moreover, they provide limited facilities to handle user events, and combine user interface components with internal logics. In this paper, we introduce an extended MVP (EMVP) model, which is extended from MVP (Model-View-Presenter), and XUIML, which is a new XML application based on the EMVP to support user interface. XUIML provides useful methods to build user interface, including methods to describe actions on user events, data flows between objects, and internal logics. The XUIML system provides two style editors - text editor and graphic editor. It also provides two code generators. One generates Java source, and the other generate C# code from XUIML document. The XUIML graphic editor allows users to manipulate XML elements directly, and we can gain high productivity with the graphic editor.

  • Recently, new computing technologies are emerging from various life environments, as a result of the spread of network environments and the advent of new computing devices. This trend in computing technology is called "Ubiquitous computing" and is being developed to provide a convenient lifestyle through the dynamic integration of physical objects and digital information. The hybrid tag interface suggested in this paper is a usage model that integrates widely used image codes and recently applied RFIDs in various applications. On the basis of this concept, we eventually designed five different models such as Dual, Partial, Relative, Rebind and Discrete types according to their interrelation. In this paper, the characteristics of tag interfaces in the form of image codes and RFIDs are analyzed and the hybrid tag interface is proposed here for more efficient and convenient interface.
